Are You Ready To Go Transhuman?

Since the end of the Middle Ages the Western world has been marked by recurring Utopian movements. Some have been merely odd, but others have rocked societies and even continents. The French Revolution ("Liberty, Equality, Fraternity") and the Bolshevik Revolution ("From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs") immediately come to mind. In each we see the usual appeal to a coming secular Golden Age of brotherhood among men, ushered in by human action. The whole EU project has come increasingly to fit that mold, as it has tended to meld into the Globalist movement with its utopian calls for open borders and free movement of labor. The same orientation can be frequently seen in the modern Vatican's "social" encyclicals, and the UN has been largely subsumed into that movement.

Behind these social movements, if we care to trace the history of modern utopianism, is a gnostic ideology that is rooted in a rejection of traditional theism (based in belief in a creator God) in favor of the notion of a deification of Man by his own efforts. This history stretches back to the Renaissance fascination with hermetic and occult "philosophy". Moving forward, we find the same or similar influences behind major political and social movements as well as major individual thinkers in the modern West. Certainly these influence were key to the development of German Idealism, which is behind so much of modern Marxist influenced ideologies. While these ideologies of a Novus Ordo Seclorum, a Man-Made New World Order, have advanced and receded over the centuries, they have--wherever they have gained a foothold--led inevitably to almost incalculable human suffering, and bid fair to do it again.

A central feature of all such movements is the role of enlightened individuals or elites who will lead the rest of humanity to the Promised Land (yes, I was thinking of Obama's new book). Americans tend to view themselves as very down to earth and practical in our national orientation, but the reality is that our civic ideology of Classical Liberalism is deeply rooted in the Western utopian tradition. In fact, this element of our politics has--especially since Hegel's German Ideology was adopted by American elites beginning in the Progressive Era)--grown to be an increasingly prominent feature of our politics. The messianic qualities attributed to Great Leaders--FDR, JFK, Obama--is by no means coincidental, and our politics would be largely unrecognizable without utopian appeals to new deals, new frontiers, hope and change, fundamental transformations of America and so forth. Most Americans hardly even notice anything unusual about such appeals, and certainly are unaware of their historical origins. And yet the regular flirtation of Dems with totalitarian social and economic ideologies--from FDR's fascination with Fascism in the '30s up to Obama's calls for fundamental transformation and the Biden campaign's idea of Building Back a Better America all flow from the same sources. It has all become a "normal" part of American politics and, more importantly, American education.

By the same token, Globalism is typically regarded as an economic ideology rather than a utopian ideological movement aimed at a fundamental transformation of human nature itself. And yet that ideological character is very much a part of Globalism, including its denial of fundamental characteristics of human nature. This utopian Globalism--and not just its economic aspects--has become the default ideology of American elites, merging easily with the Progressivism that has long been prominent in our politics. Let's take a deeper look at the ideology that animates our elites and, in particular, animates the elite hatred for Trump's appeal to normal human nature. It will be very much a driving force behind a Biden presidency, if that comes to pass.

Yesterday, in Ushering In The Great Reset, I had occasion to refer to an earlier post that took a look at the man, Klaus Schwab. Schwab is not simply one more mad professor. He is the founder of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which hosts the Globalist elites every year at Davos: Davos Man Seeks To Take Over The US. It's important to understand that these annual Davos affairs are not just a meeting of the Global glitterati. There is a serious, if mad, purpose behind the elite's networking, and there is coordination of purpose and policy as well.

Paul Joseph Watson and James Delingpole have been trying to educate conservatives to the very real dangers that we are facing if the the Globalist Deep State manages to inaugurate its puppet candidate. Watson wrote yesterday in

Klaus Schwab: Great Reset Will “Lead to a Fusion of Our Physical, Digital and Biological Identity”

Get a load of his ideas:

Globalist Klaus Schwab made it clear that transhumanism is an integral part of “The Great Reset” when he said that the fourth industrial revolution would “lead to a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity,” which in his book he clarifies is implantable microchips that can read your thoughts.

As we highlighted earlier, “The Great Reset” is attracting a deluge of fresh attention in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said was an “opportunity for a reset.”

Exactly. Never let a crisis go to waste, anyone? It didn't actually take our elites long to awaken to the potential for raw power that Covid offered them. Their determination to take advantage of this opportunity could not be more evident, or more chilling.

The agenda is primarily based around dismantling the current capitalist system in favor of greater centralized technocrat rule which will lead to lower living standards, less fuel consumption, fewer civil liberties and the accelerated automation of jobs.

Of course it will all be for the common good, even if it's only the elite who will benefit tangibly.

However, another key aspect to “The Great Reset,” or the “fourth industrial revolution” as Schwab calls it, is merging man with machine.

“What the fourth industrial revolution will lead to is a fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity,” Schwab told the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

...

In the book, Schwab explains with excitement how upcoming technology will allow authorities to “intrude into the hitherto private space of our minds, reading our thoughts and influencing our behavior.”

Does that excite you? Me neither, but the question at this point is, How will we stop it--or at least the attempt? The degree of influence already exercised by Big Tech is scary enough. Count on it--Schwab the mad professor is far from the only person who is excited by this prospect. There are a lot of politicians with a very specific interest in influencing the thought and behavior of the "deplorables."

Schwab also waxes lyrical about the transhumanist utopian dream shared by all elitists which will ultimately lead to the creation of human cyborgs.

...

Schwab also openly endorses something the media still claims is solely a domain of discussion for conspiracy theorists, namely “active implantable microchips that break the skin barrier of our bodies.”

...

So in other words, the “fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity” relates to the transhumanist singularity and a future where people have their every movement tracked and every thought read by an implantable microchip.

It isn’t a “conspiracy theory” when they’re openly telling you what they want to do.

James Delingpole, shortly before the election, pointed out what may have occurred to you already. The Globalist Great Reset was part of the plan during the Global Warming hysteria. That caused a major stir but didn't achieve the Great Reset that had been anticipated. Covid, the Globalist elite now believes, may have that potential. And with most of us masking up and avoiding our fellow human beings--beware the Superspreaders!--who can blame them for thinking they've found the magic bullet to kill off normal human nature?

Here's Delingpole explaining the way this all works together and why we should really be concerned:

Build Back Better. This is the slogan of the New World Order – aka the Great Reset.

It's also the slogan of the Biden campaign. The slogan actually originated with UN disaster relief programs but has been coopted by the Globalist elite to mean something rather different: Tearing down the Old Normal--the world most of us still inhabit--and building something better: their vision of a New World Order. Thus, the Great Reset. Building back--after complete destruction--better. Feeling more comfortable with the idea now?

You hear it often these days intoned — in the manner of dutiful Stepford Wives — by everyone from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the Prince of Wales to Canadian blackface artiste Justin Trudeau and, inevitably, Joe Biden who has adopted it as his campaign slogan.

About the only leader you won’t hear using it is Donald Trump because he recognises its true significance. Build Back Better is the code phrase for one of the most terrifying and dangerous, globally co-ordinated assaults on liberty and prosperity in the history of mankind. If the plan succeeds, the world you inhabit will be unrecognisable, your children will have no prospects and your life will barely be worth living. Build Back Better means totalitarian rule by a global, technocratic elite – as constrictive and immiserating as life under fascism or communism. This hideous New World Order is the Great Reset.

Enter stage Left, Klaus Schwab:

What’s unusual about this global communist takeover plan is that it originates not from some meeting of hair-shirt sociology students at Berkeley but from the World Economic Forum, which hosts the annual meeting at Davos where billionaires lecture millionaires on how ordinary people live.

The founder of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab has written a book — several books in fact — on his masterplan.

His latest, called Covid-19: The Great Reset, makes no bones about the fact that the chaos of the Coronavirus pandemic represents the perfect opportunity to accelerate the entire world towards a ‘new normal’.

At the time of writing (June 2020), the pandemic continues to worsen globally. Many of us are pondering when things will return to normal. The short response is: never. Nothing will ever return to the ‘broken’ sense of normalcy that prevailed prior to the crisis because the coronavirus pandemic marks a fundamental inflection point in our global trajectory.

Got that? As far as your new globalist overlords are concerned, you are NEVER going to get your old life back, however much you might wish it. Also, be clear: this is being done for your own good because your old way of life was based on a ‘broken’ model.

As it turns out, Schwab is quite straightforward in acknowledging that Covid is NOT the existential threat that our Dem masters--Blue State governors--are claiming it is. It's quite simply a pretext and an opportunity for the elites to change the "broken" lives of normal people.

This might all seem pie in the sky — the demented ravings of a German so sinister-looking and sounding that he would have made an excellent Blofeld in the Bond movies — were it not for one major problem: lots of world leaders, billionaire businessmen and other masters of the universe are totally onboard with the project. This includes, if we’re very unlucky, possible future President Joe Biden.

Some people have seen this coming. One is the "bish on the run, Carlo Maria Viganò, who has seen the Bergoglio Vatican so overrun by George Soros illuminati that Viganò refers to a Deep Church parallel to the Deep State:

Slowly people are waking up. One of them is Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, formal Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, who has written an open letter to President Trump warning him of the threat posed by the Great Reset.

A global plan called the Great Reset is underway. Its architect is a global élite that wants to subdue all of humanity, imposing coercive measures with which to drastically limit individual freedoms and those of entire populations. In several nations this plan has already been approved and financed; in others it is still in an early stage. Behind the world leaders who are the accomplices and executors of this infernal project, there are unscrupulous characters who finance the World Economic Forum and Event 201, promoting their agenda.

The purpose of the Great Reset is the imposition of a health dictatorship aiming at the imposition of liberticidal measures, hidden behind tempting promises of ensuring a universal income and cancelling individual debt. The price of these concessions from the International Monetary Fund will be the renunciation of private property and adherence to a program of vaccination against Covid-19 and Covid-21 promoted by Bill Gates with the collaboration of the main pharmaceutical groups. Beyond the enormous economic interests that motivate the promoters of the Great Reset, the imposition of the vaccination will be accompanied by the requirement of a health passport and a digital ID, with the consequent contact tracing of the population of the entire world. Those who do not accept these measures will be confined in detention camps or placed under house arrest, and all their assets will be confiscated.

As Delingpole puts it: "This is not a drill." It's an existential to normal human life. He then goes on to draw out the connection to an earlier hoax--the Green New Deal:

There’s an excellent, longer-read summary of the key issues by Marc Morano at Climate Depot. Morano recognises that the Great Reset is actually just a repackaged version of the Green New Deal, only with Covid-19 now being used as the big excuse for wholesale Socialistic transformation, rather than ‘climate change.’

He quotes healthcare journalist Peter Barry Chowka, who calls it ‘A flu d’état”

‘A flu d’état”

Health care journalist Peter Barry Chowka was blunt, calling the COVID/Climate “solution” linkage “a flu d’état.” “A takeover of our supposedly democratic political process by unelected & unaccountable administrative state medical bureaucrats,” Chowka warned, noting that all of the COVID solutions were virtually the same as the Green New Deal “solutions” to the purported climate “crisis.”

“Overnight, our society is doing what radical leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her fellow Green New Deal fanatics have demanded: An almost total end to air travel; personal automobile travel down to a trickle; promises of free health care for all quickly becoming the new status quo; and the ability of people to sit at home without working and receive a paycheck from the government. The Democrats want that to continue indefinitely,” Chowka wrote.

Delingpole concludes:

... there is only one man in the world who can save us from it.

No, sorry all you Bill Barr haters. It's not Bill Barr and it's not John Durham:

That man is Donald Trump.

It’s why, in my view, this presidential election is probably the most important political event anyone alive will live through.

If you're interested in hearing Watson and Delingpole discuss all this stuff, here's a half hour video--What Is The Great Reset:

  2. Now you're dooming me out Mark.
    I agree with Delingpole.

Even if Trump gets four more years its going to be hard. The forces of evil are deeply rooted. I'm sure we got here through the universities.

I do marvel how in Hong Kong, the students are against the exact thing that the students in the USA are for. They don't see they are exact opposites in beliefs.

  5. I'm not sure I can get my arms around the concept of the “fusion of our physical, digital and biological identity”, so I'm going to let that go to others wiser than I. But I do more or less understand the concept of: "The agenda is primarily based around dismantling the current capitalist system in favor of greater centralized technocrat rule"...

I spent a long career inside the boiler room of the furnace of American (and, to some extent, global) capitalism. During those decades I saw capitalism stumble badly, not once or twice, but six or eight times, with painful recessions which featured widespread layoffs and unemployment, stock market losses, mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcies, and the human consequences of mental illness, addiction, divorce, family breakup and suicides resulting from market failures.

During the period 2007-2011 (and even afterwards) I (like many of us) lived through the so-called Great Recession which was a market malfunction of immense proportions which nearly took us down and had disastrous consequences. I would bet money that AOC and her friends of her generation have been significantly affected by the experience of living through the Great Recession as helpless children.

I have read dozens of books and articles before and since the Great Recession which address the cyclicality of market capitalism and which consider how to improve it or replace it with a kinder, gentler, less volatile system which avoids the enormous pain of market corrections. Perhaps a way to do so, many suggest, is through the current Leftist agenda.

I am an 'old' guy and I have seen a lot in that furnace I referred to above. I absolutely understand the pain of market corrections, mortgage foreclosures, bankruptcies and unemployment, and family breakups.

But I simply do not believe a state-run, socialistic, technocratic, top down regulatory state is the answer. I further believe that it would be a catastrophic mistake to try it (again, as other states have) only to ultimately discover once again that individual freedom, the profit motive, freedom of speech, the enforceability of contracts and the rule of law are the fundamental foundations of human prosperity and happiness.

    I think I am a Viganòist.

And I so conclude, not for my own benefit, as my story is largely written, but for the benefit of my children and grandchildren, that they not have to live through and then address the even more dreadful consequences of the kind of regimes the Leftists have in mind for them.

    1. Of course, the question many ask is: What is capitalism in the first place? Did it (whatever "it" is) fail or were the failures brought on by the assumption of government bailouts, etc.?

    2. That's kinda my point. Although I didn't express it. :)

Its ok to regulate capitalism. To put in circuit-breakers and capital requirements and anti-fraud rules. And its especially ok to enforce criminal laws against fraud and illegal crony capitalism (which didn't happen in the aftermath of 2008). But the Leftist agenda would abolish free market capitalism.

    3. Hmmm. So what DID happen in the aftermath of 2008? Massive donations to politicians to encourage them to stay in office and try to figure out the best possible reforms?

"So what DID happen in the aftermath of 2008?"

Let me reply off the top of my head...I'm sure that there is much that I have forgotten or repressed.

      During the period 2008-2016...

Barack Obama was elected President of the United States.

Virtually nobody whose bad behavior led to the financial catastrophe and its consequences was criminally prosecuted.

Rescue programs protected the balance sheets of politically powerful financial institutions and many bankers made a lot of money.

The federal debt dramatically increased with rescue programs unfunded by federal taxes.

The scope of American military involvement in the Middle East grew.

Obama entered into a disastrous agreement with Iran without approval of the Senate.

We maintained economically disastrous trade deals with our major trading partners.

Some controversial laws were passed to make capital markets safer. Some of these laws have subsequently been criticized as ineffective and counter productive.

Financial markets and employment levels recovered at a slower rate than any other recession in modern American history.

Our journey into globalization continued...and accelerated.

Obama used his 2008 'mandate' to spend all of his political chips on Obamacare. He did not negotiate this legislation with the opposition political party and obtained not a single vote from the opposition political party for its passage. This ended his ability to influence legislation, leading to loss of control in Congress and his subsequent 'governance' through executive order.

It was also the beginning of the current wave of the politics of victimization.

Federal judges with an 'ends justify the means' ideology were named in large numbers to the judiciary.

In hindsight we learned that Obama's use of the intelligence and security apparatus of the State against citizens increased.

In hindsight we learned that influence peddling from the likes of Mr Biden increased.

In hindsight we have learned that the Left utterly despises conservatives.

Of course, all of the foregoing led to Trump's election in 2016. But I think we are just now finding out what it all means.

I did hit the money printing in my list, but your point about 'diversity' and social engineering is a very good one.

We will be far better off in a system where opportunity is provided to as many as possible, but rewards are based on merit.

    7. Capitalism is simply the fruit of liberty. It's wrong to conceive of capitalism as the opposite of Communism. Communism is a universalizing dogma - a religion - encompassing all of life; capitalism is merely part of that worldview which sees individuals created in the image of God and possessing inherent rights of dignity and opportunity.

But like all human institutions, it is liable to the failings of sin and, as you say, subject to guard rails and circuit breakers. Both the total absence of limitations as well as limitations conceived to pick winners result in sectors getting overheated into boom and bust cycles.

    8. @Cassander, I had not seen your long response.

I recall a comment of yours several months ago in which you described how as a lawyer many years ago you experienced a shift among your clients from seeking compliance with the laws to weighing the risk/reward of breaking the law.

That was a sobering realization for me. On the one hand it speaks to the folly of over-regulating, in which the sin nature inevitably begins to look for ways around the law. But of course it also speaks profoundly to the loss of virtue in our society.

We have often referred to Adams' and Franklin's remarks about our constitution. Realistically speaking, a people cannot be free who do not desire freedom. And only a good people can live free without chaos.

"Both the total absence of limitations as well as limitations conceived to pick winners result in sectors getting overheated into boom and bust cycles."

      Yes.

Also results in corruption and crony capitalism, both of which the Left seems ok with.

"But of course it also speaks profoundly to the loss of virtue in our society."

      Yes.

One aspect of the loss of virtue is the endemic lying among our leaders to the American people. Yes, Trump may have lied about the size of his inauguration crowd, and similar matters. I may be wrong but I don't think he has lied about anything material to the well-being of the people or the Republic. I think he has courageously told the truth.

But the Democrat dishonesty (loss of virtue) will destroy our nation. I could list 100 examples, but one will suffice.

      Adam Schiff.

A friend of mine recommended the other day that I watch a series on Prime Video about Adams and Franklin and their fellow Founders called America's Founding Fathers.

It turns out to be a 36 part series, so it is not a quick and easy watch, but already in the first few episodes which I've watched there are constant reminders of the critical importance of both freedom and virtue in the underpinnings of our Constitution and, notwithstanding the fact that the remarkable Constitution which the Founders crafted has endured, the utter fragility of it all.

      So, yes, without virtue...

  6. So Davos Man has a plan. That's all well and good for him, except who is actually going to carry out this plan in the US? The banks, social workers, university profs? The guys with the guns, Police & military have to go along in a pretty big way. If those folks say uh-uh, then this grand plan ends up in the s**tcan.
When some of the grand thinkers start doing what happened to certain citizens in Argentina a number of years ago, there may grand rethink happen. Hope is nowhere near lost, keep the faith.

The military...the leadership appears to be mostly compromised, whereas I think the guys with the guns would refuse to carry out their orders. At one time I hoped for a 50-50 split among the leadership, but now I suspect that split is more like 75-25 against liberty.

Liberty will command the guns and tanks, a few aircraft and almost no ships. And the food. It's better than nothing.
