Politico: More On The Dem House Disaster

I picked this up from TGP. It's worth thinking about. The disparity--with the GOP picking up House seats in Blue states--suggests both massive fraud in the presidential race as well as a vengeful populace:

House Dems brace for more losses

The House is on track to have its thinnest majority in about two decades next year — and it could get worse for Democrats.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has so far lost seven incumbents in Tuesday’s election, and that number could increase to about a dozen as more votes are tallied in New York, California and Utah. That would leave Democrats with a razor-thin margin — and an even more emboldened GOP minority — as the party looks to govern under a potential President Joe Biden.

The most likely scenario for Democrats is a net loss of between seven to 11 seats, according to interviews with campaign officials and strategists from both parties. That toll has prompted some tense discussions within the Democratic caucus about its message, tactics and leadership, with an internal race intensifying to succeed Democratic Congressional Campaign Chair Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.). [Who may lose her seat in IL.]

And the fallout means the House is indeed in play in 2022, and the battle will be fought on a whole new set of district lines, most of which will be drawn by Republicans who maintained control of key statehouses.

Presumably Republican controlled states will also police their elections more effectively than has been done in the past. They now know what to expect, if they didn't know before.

  1. I guess there is a very remote chance that if all the remaining races break the repub way they might get control by 1 or 2 seats.

  2. Plus the impact, if any, of recounts...

  3. Don Surber feeling very schadenfreudian:

    1. Surber writes, “Oh yes, they were supposed to flip Texas blue, knock off Mitch McConnell, pad their majority in the House, cure covid, and convert the pope to communism.”

He’s clearly not paid attention to news out of the vatican over the past 7 years.

    2. I don't think I'd like having a president as catholic as the 'pope'.

  4. Well, we're possibly going to have a President that everyone addresses as "Uncle Joe", so there's that.

    1. But he is nowhere near as deserving of respect as a MAN, as was the original Uncle Joe, who, for all his faults, did put his personal ass on the line for what he believed, when he went around robbing banks, to raise cash for the Party.

    2. Ioseb Besarionis dzе Jughashvili? Yeah he supported the Party until he tried to exterminate the Party. Then he supported the guy with the funny mustache until he tried to exterminate him.

    3. Point is, he (and the funny mustache guy, holder of the Iran Cross, 1st Class) were both Real Men, compared to this Dem cuck.

  6. Thank you, Mark, and all of your regular commenters for their insights.
I would only add the obvious: it’s not enough for RED states to clean up their voting laws and procedures. Most of the corruption occurred in BLUE states and they have no incentive to clean it up. Why should they? They won.

If nothing else, the full extent of the voter and election fraud must be made public, and where possible, prosecuted.

  7. I should have added to my last that if nothing is done, the Ds will use these same tactics in the Georgia run offs. Control of the Senate is hanging on the outcome, and with it, all the high level executive appointments, as well as the courts.

  8. There has been a historic use of the race card any time mention of anti vote fraud measures are done. And the gop mostly has been terrified of this label. This is changing under Trump.

My guess is this debacle created a lot of Yellow Dog Republicans. And the anger that created the tea party is still around, even after what the uniparty and grifters did their best to discredit it. Trump is a symbol of this anger.
