No doubt the Deep State thought they had a really excellent plan for their very own domestic Color Revolution--call it the Orange Man Coup. But things started to go wrong before midnight on Election Day, when the mind-blowing tidal wave of support for Trump forced the realization that truly drastic measures would be needed to install the basement dwelling Biden Inc. "Big Guy" in the White House. Multiple anomalies in state after state all pointed to a massive fiddle, and--despite the assurances of disgraced former AG Bluto Barr--We The People just weren't buying that the election had gone according to Hoyle. Even now, two months later, some number approaching half the population believes the election was a hoax or a fraud, and if you add in those who think a major inquiry is warranted your break the 50% mark. Meanwhile, despite the Deep State's best efforts to mount Trump on a rail and run him out of DC, his approval ratings are doing just fine, thank you. Nothing seems to be going quite according to plan.
Meanwhile, the 74 millions who turned out for Trump--not satisfied with simply mailing it in--have continued to follow the events, angry at what they've learned. The realization of what went down has led to a situation that Shipwreckedcrew discusses:
The Actions of the Establishment Interests in Washington Reflect Fear of the Political Coalition Formed By Donald Trump
Here, with some creative editing, is what I take to be the gist of SWC's thesis (the whole thing is a good read):
A potential existential threat to the Establishments of both parties became a reality in January 2017. Donald Trump seized the GOP agenda, and the extreme left of the Democrat party seized the agenda of the Democrats in reaction to Donald Trump.
But it still took the combined effects of
a more than three-year-long baseless investigation about collusion with Russia,
a worldwide pandemic that shut down most of the US economy,
an unrelenting willingness of the media to negatively characterize every issue regarding the Trump Administration,
a willingness by the media and “Big Tech” to actively suppress information harmful to Joe Biden,
a complete lack of interest in the media to Joe Biden’s physical and mental fitness for office, and
unprecedented changes in the way voting was conducted to improve Biden’s chances of winning in order to defeat Donald Trump.
But what is happening now in Washington is an effort by the Establishment interests of both parties to stuff back into the bottle the Genie that Donald Trump let loose with his campaign and victory in 2016.
That was some kind of globally Herculean effort--and that was the easy part. Stuffing the genie back in the bottle? That's the finesse part, and it's not going terribly well.
Take the events of January 6. The more we learn the more doubts are raised. John Solomon isolates three questions:
What did Nancy Pelosi know?
A prior plot or spontaneous riot?
Were there inside facilitators?
However, Solomon's most trenchant analysis focuses on a central fact that has emerged already: There was no lack of advance warning that without planning and resources events could lead exactly what happened:
The FBI admitted Tuesday it received information ahead of the Jan. 6 tragedy suggesting some participants were planning a "war" on the Capitol, including killing officers and distributing maps of the complex. It alerted Washington D.C. law enforcement through the joint terrorism task force alert system. It also "disrupted" the travel plans of some of the suspected trouble-makers.
"We developed some intelligence that a number of individuals were planning to travel to the D.C. area with intentions to cause violence," Assistant Director Steven M. D'Antuono said. "We immediately shared that information, and action was taken."
Note three important facts that emerge from this:
The FBI's attention was focused on "some participants," "a number of individuals," NOT the overwhelmingly peaceful protesters.
The FBI's advance warnings were ignored by DC officials--and neither Trump nor the White House was notified.
The individuals who turned up began their provocations before Trump ever finished his speech.
The result is that the second fake impeachment, hurriedly pushed through yesterday, was as farcical as predicted. The political goals of Pelosi and the Dems were perfectly transparent: To separate the GOP from their base by leading the GOP to renounce and condemn Trump. But perhaps of more significance is exactly how that effort fell apart--despite the machinations of Mitch McConnell and Liz Cheney.
You can read two excellent accounts of this at The Federalist:
McConnell--typically as shrewd a political operator as any in DC--revealed himself as suffering from TDS to such an extent as to be utterly clueless about political realities in Trumpean America. That almost goes without saying at this point, as does the further point that Liz Cheney is not the future of the GOP. In the end the situation was handled elegantly, but Kevin McCarthy came through without significant damage to his minority party. Efforts are now under way to strip Cheney of her leadership position--a position to which she never should have been elected. In the end the House GOP appears to have understood--this:
Trump’s voters are still here. Sure, no longer 74 million of them, but a lot more than it takes to give the majority of DC’s GOP the Georgia treatment. And many of them remember the events of the last four years well.
In Washington, bad memories can fade mercifully fast. A number of people I spoke with Tuesday night hadn’t thought of the leftwing mob’s August attack on the White House in months despite having been there, for example, until a Federalist article that morning drew out that fearful night like some kind of repressed memory therapy.
“Oh yeah,” some thought: “The attack on the Capitol is not the first time a politically goaded mob had violently attacked a sacred symbol of the republic — even if it is the first time CNN has cared.”
A lot of voters, however, did not bury the memory. Americans have been forced to suffer fringe left-wing violence since before Trump even won the nomination. This Inauguration Day will mark the four-year anniversary of Washington riots that left cars burning in the streets. What’s novel here is the reaction of America’s elites, which brings us to the final point.
The reaction of America's elites has been to double down--to an unprecedented degree--on the suppression of free expression and free association on public forums. So sweeping is the purge of dissident voices from the Public Square that foreign allies are openly expressing dismay and disquiet at these developments in an America that used to be regarded as a bastion of freedom.
Meanwhile a sort of faux inauguration is scheduled to take place, against the backdrop of what can only be described as a sort of Martial Law theater. The Establishment's TDS has shifted into hysterics, with boots on the ground throughout DC. Presumably this over the top political theater is supposed to somehow reflect on Trump, but the reality of public opinion suggests otherwise. With Trump's approval ratings remaining at a healthy level, while distrust of the Establishment as well as of our Tech overlords brimming over, what we have to all appearances now is the installation of an administration by the military.
The overall appearance of instability that we--and the world--are seeing bodes ill for the future. Further developments can only lead to even greater disquiet. The Establishment appears to be opting for repression rather than reconciliation:
A Domestic Terrorism Bill Only Antifa Could Love
This legislation is less about securing Americans from domestic terrorism, and more about propagandizing a dangerous narrative and enforcing a political bias in our counterterrorism efforts.
My bet, or hope, is that these measures will be rejected. Still, best to buckle up.
Regarding the latter part of your post ...
ReplyDeleteI have contended here and elsewhere that the Republican party was using Trump. They used him not to better Americans, but to better the party and their power. The fact that Americans in general benefited was a by product.
This extremely cynical political ploy backfired... huuuugely.
America first, MAGA, is antithetical to making the Republican party first as it is with making the Democrat party first.
Our first president warned about this factionalism in his farewell address.
Nah; Trump fell into their lap and they didn't know what to do about it. This lack of awareness led to the dismal reign of Paul Ryan and total lack of Russian Hoax support. Only after the 2018 mid-terms did some come around albeit at arms length. Only a few (Nunes etc...) stayed in the long haul.
DeleteOh yeah. You can take this to the bank. To all those who threw Trump under the Democrat bus, we will remember. I predict that, in two years, there will be a new party. Its base will consist of 80 million disaffected Trump voters. The GOP base will be wiped out entirely.
ReplyDeleteambitious suggestion - but worthy of encouraging HOPE !
DeleteI sure hope so.
DeleteAlways the question--whose party would a third party run hurt more. Almost certainly it would guarantee a Dem president.
DeleteYeah, there will be a new party, unless the DS works to neutralize all possible leaders, after the Dems have provoked Deplorables into hyper-radicalization (by ploys such as this impeachment, and these orgies of Sil. Valley etc. repression).
DeleteAs whatever inside sources I ever had are long-since *dead or senile*, I can only guess at how it could go:
If the Biden Inc. administration only obeys his ChiCom paymasters, I must wonder if Sil. Valley will really be OK w/ this.
Do they hate Deplorables more, than they love to be able to go to places like Vegas
(which would end up as a ghost town)?
(If the "rabble's" resistance ends up torching the whole country, the ChiComs will be laughing their asses off, and loading landing craft, for their troops to be sent to a mostly-empty US.)
Insofar as the Dems/ Sil. Valley are going Full Orwell, can folks like Merkel & Obrador steer their countries away, from addiction to US (esp. Sil. Valley's) services/ products, before the whole world ends up under the ChiCom/ Sil. Valley boot?
Trump will create "The American Party" and register & recruit in all 50 states. Imagine the horror within the GOP. I do think this is necessary. The GOP is funded & staffed by fascists (Chamber of Commerce types), even if the elected representatives aren't. The GOP has been poisoned and needs to die.
DeleteIt should become ever easier, for a Biden/ ChiCom DS to neutralize all possible new party leaders, and to sow ever-more distrust among Deplorables.
DeleteIf the DS could effectively flip Roberts, Barr, Kav, Gorsuch, and Amy, would can it not flip?
Another outsider.
DeleteYou spelled "uniparty" wrong.
DeleteOnce we the sheeple understand this, then and only then can the American Party achieve desired results.
Re the “advance warning”, although “war” (always in quotes, is now in much of the MSM, one of the earlier, less heated articles on the warning included the note that the bit about “war” was in only one tweet. It was not given the weight that the media are giving it now in retrospect. Inflammatory word. The media like that a lot.
ReplyDeleteCorrection. Not in a tweet, but on a forum thread. The latest on the “plan” described is that it or one like it was hatched on Facebook.
DeleteFrom WaPo, whose report was republished elsewhere in one form or another:
A situational information report approved for release the day before the U.S. Capitol riot painted a dire portrait of dangerous plans, including individuals sharing a map of the complex’s tunnels, and possible rally points for would-be conspirators to meet in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and South Carolina and head in groups to Washington.
“As of 5 January 2021, FBI Norfolk received information indicating calls for violence in response to ‘unlawful lockdowns’ to begin on 6 January 2021 in Washington, D.C.,” the document says. “An online thread discussed specific calls for violence to include stating ‘Be ready to fight. Congress needs to hear glass breaking, doors being kicked in, and blood from their BLM and Pantifa slave soldiers being spilled. Get violent. Stop calling this a march, or rally, or a protest. Go there ready for war. We get our President or we die. NOTHING else will achieve this goal.”
BLM is probably a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement for racial justice. Pantifa is a derogatory term for antifa, a far-left anti-fascist movement whose adherents sometimes engage in violent clashes with right-wing extremists.
Yet even with that information in hand, the report’s unidentified author expressed concern that the FBI might be encroaching on free-speech rights. (emphasis added - and note WaPo's soft pedal on BLM)

There is no indication as to who that anonymous online forum poster was … We remember that DeRay McKesson, a radical activist, managed to stir up the rioting, arson and general mayhem that took place in Ferguson, Missouri, after “gentle giant” Michael Brown was shot and killed while trying to disarm a police officer.
McKesson went on to fame and fortune (after instigating the Baltimore (Freddy Gray) riots. He’s now described this way: DeRay Mckesson is an educator, author, civil rights activist and one of the leading voices in the Black Lives Matter movement..
It wouldn’t surprise me if DeRay or someone like him stirred this up to smear Trump and his true supporters.
Left out the fact that DeRay was proud of his work. Bragged about having stirred up Ferguson riots via his laptop… He didn’t even have to be there… Social media.
DeleteIt all sounds like bullshit to me--provocations.
DeleteOf course I get that LE has to take it seriously, ...
DeleteBut we also know when politicians are trying to gaslight us.
When all the left wing news outlets use the same language, emphasizing anything inflammatory (like war), we know what’s going on...
DeleteFirst order of business after a coup: purge military and police of any potential disloyalty. By the beginning of Kamala's first "elected" term all should be ready to begin gun confiscations. I expect the 2nd A. to be reduced to impotency and "buy-backs" to be fully in place by the time of her assumption of the Presidency Spring of 2023. By January 2025 only gov't organs or terrorists will possess guns.
ReplyDeleteTom S.
I would really like to hear an explanation of why the election computers need algorithms to complete their task. Aren't they just counting ballots in accordance with the wishes of the voter?
ReplyDelete80 million ballots given to the post office is how Trump lost. Yes, voting machines are another vector of fraud, but it was mail-in voting the provided the headroom for the massive fraud.

I just posted two links to information about the DC National Guard, why it is different from the others and why there are delays - especially the ones on Wednesday. Not sure but believe I disappeared the comment. Here are the links. Informative:

Both are worth your time...
When you think about about it, if you can impeach a President after he leaves office, and you're real smart like Pelosi obviously is, why bother to waste your time impeaching Trump now?
ReplyDeleteWhy not wait until 2024 and if Trump runs, impeach him then. All she needs, apparently, is a majority vote in the House. Throw in a few RINO and Never Trumper votes and she's got it.
Easy-peasy.
