this blog develops the idea that a theory of man in history can be worked out around the theme that man's self expression in culture and society is motivated by the desire to find meaning in man's existence. i proceed by summarizing seminal works that provide insights into the dynamics of this process, with the view that the culmination of this exploration was reached with god's self revelation in jesus. i'll hopefully also explore the developments that followed this event.

This aligns with my theory of what’s McConnell afraid of...
ReplyDeleteWhy is it so important to keep Assange from speaking out?
Why does McConnell care?
If this is true, and President Trump didn’t know whether he should pardon Assange before, he knows now.
ReplyDelete"we are much more likely to convict you in an impeachment trial"
ReplyDeleteWhich cockaine Mitch will do anyway. Trump should pardon and carry the impeachment as a badge of honour. He's the President of we the people, not the swamp. One cannot negotiate with swamp criters, as they are utterly untrustworthy. Also they see appeasement as weekness. If Trump thinks he will be forgiven or at least left alone, that's never gonna happen.
I would hope Trump would call ChiCom Mitch's bluff. Maybe Mitch isn't bluffing, but if Trump, after the last four years, trusts McConnell then he deserves to go home without his pants. My bet is they convict regardless. Let Assange go.

Trump got the Gorbachev treatment, and senile Biden has become the US version of drunk Yeltsin.
ReplyDeleteOff Topic:
ReplyDeleteMuch is being made around the internet in that Joe Biden flew to Washington aboard a private charter rather than using a gov't acft as offered by, well, the gov't. No one has yet stated the obvious reason for the Harris/Biden campaign turning down the gov't options. The flight crews could not be controlled as to what they might recount as to Joe's behavior, medication, etc. A private crew. probably the same crew he had throughout the campaign, has been vetted and have iron clad NDA's on record, not to mention the "campaign" knows where they live.

But Tom, how will he manage to keep that up in front of the institutional White House staff, and he’ll have to fly AF1, and then there are the secret service personnel… They all cannot be bought and paid for. He can no longer hide in the basement.
Delete"we where you live" this is the most most used

@ Bebe
DeleteThe WH staff and SS are basically sworn to secrecy. They have not, to my knowledge, ever spread dirt about a sitting, or napping, Pres., and won't now. The same with AF1 crew. It's not that their bought, but deep tradition. The main betrayal will be from the press (used ironically). The scam only needs to last until 1-21-23 and I think they can pull it off. If not, no biggey to the Masters. Kamala just doesn't get to ride the merry-go-round as long as she thought. Inconvenient, but she'll get over it.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if he pardons Assange.

ReplyDeleteJust read this and almost blew beer out my nose. On what planet is the U.S. Senate "divided"? This kind of fantasy crap is what has to end on our side.

Sundance has an article on McConnell this morning. It focuses on how he likes being in the minority and why. The 60 votes. The 2/3 majority. I didn’t realize how naive I was until I read this...

The last photo is of McConnell and Nikki Haley with the caption:
Nikki Haley 2024 is Mitch McConnell’s Agenda
If this is true, Trump not pardoning Assange (& Snowden) because of a threat from McConnell, then DJT has made a colossal mistake. It's like when the killer, who has a hostage, tells the cop to put his gun down.
ReplyDeleteI mean, trust McConnell? I despair.
It’s a bit early for a post-Morten on the Trump administration, but Angelo Codevilla is first out of the box. His long and incisive analysis at American Greatness demands a careful reading.

Tucker cites no source, nor does he say that he knows whether this is true. Is Tucker’s saying something under those circumstances “the Word”?
