The way to dampen conservative populist frustration re the left's monopoly over the republic's political, media, academic, & cultural institutions is to sandbag GOP Senators' books and articles. I think that's obvious to everyone. There's absolutely no way it'll go sideways. https://t.co/myfHx9sNaj

Facebook officially silences the President of the United States. For better or worse, this will be remembered as a turning point in the battle for control over digital speech. https://t.co/RBfoIn4ENE

I'm not
I'd be worried if I didn't know that Congress and the Roberts SCOTUS have our backs. Not to mention "President Elect" Basement Guy.
Various MSM outfits celebrate a DJT vid, on how he's bugging out:
ReplyDelete"My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth orderly and seamless transition of power," the president said. "This moment calls for healing and reconciliation."
I'm surprised that he folded so quickly/ meekly.
@Mouse
Delete"I'm surprised that he folded so quickly/ meekly."
In my view, Trump 'folded' because he rationally concluded he has no way to overturn the Biden certification. That's not meek.
But I (personally) doubt he is gone.
I read several accounts. None of them included the word "concede", although I read elsewhere that characterization.
DeleteHannity is now playing the tape, and interpreting it to mean a real concession.
DeleteHere's my interpretation: He's accepting that he'll have to leave and will no longer be president, but by avoiding the word 'concede' he avoids conceding that Biden fairly won the election.
DeleteTrump is doing the best thing, I think - Admit that the Dems stole the election fair and square, and walk away.
DeleteThe question in my mind is whether Trump will now go silent for a while (months?) to let the Dems stew in their own hatred, or not. He should at least get off twitter, for God's sake.
@Mouse; "I'm surprised that he folded so quickly/ meekly."
DeleteI disagree. DJT is a pretty rationale person IMO. He pushed the limits, found out who is real friends and supporters are, and achieved many objectives including exposing CJ Roberts for who he truly is. DJT was in it for us to the very end. He's not conceding, just going away for awhile.
As far as the content of this blog, what goes around comes around... just a matter of time.
"found out who is real friends and supporters are"
DeleteBetrayed and abandoned by all.
As VDH said, "tragic hero".

@Frank
Delete"Betrayed and abandoned by all."
Except about 100,000,000 Americans.
Yes, I saw one rally where the people exclaimed "We love you" to him.
DeleteYou could see how moved he was.
So was I.

People may “interpret” President Trump’s words - they have been doing it for four years - but he did not concede. He will leave the White House (I hope they go early!) but we will never hear that word from him. Never. My two cents.
DeleteAccording to my dictionary:
DeleteConcede: admit that something is true or valid after first denying or resisting it; admit defeat (in a contest)
He will never ever say “I concede” re this fraudulent election.
Someone, somewhere is going to have to give big tech a "come to Jesus" talk. More than words alone may be needed.
ReplyDeleteUnless it's a subtle misdirection (seeing as he did refer to "a new Administration", but didn't say "I officially concede."
ReplyDeleteOf course there is a new administration. But he is not conceding. He is also not allowing them to do what they most wanted to do: Forcibly remove him from the White House. Nancy’d have brought her big gavel along… Oh, well. They can’t have everything...
DeleteI Love Big Brother! Not worried a bit by what has happened! Everything is going to be peachy. I Love Big Brother! Orange man bad! Yea for Her Wonderfulness Michelle Holy of Holy Obama. I Love Big Brother! Freedom and liberty were vastly overrated and a bit of a nuisance. Some whackos even went out and fought wars and died to protect this country. I Love Big Brother! This is not the time to have negative thoughts. Think how free we are compared to North Korea! OK, that maybe wasn't a good comparison. As of today, we still have a high GDP though. Everything is now good. Did I mention that I Love Big Brother!
ReplyDeleteThe important thing is that the stock market is up.
DeleteSome of my ancestors came to this continent because their very name was outlawed at home for "rebellion". To even utter it was a death sentence. Some came, as one explains in a letter to a cousin, to be free of the obligation of leaving their work upon hearing the coach trumpet and proceeding to the highway verge and tugging their forelock as a lord or lady passed by.
My grandchildren may well relearn life under the former scenario. Better that than accepting the latter.

Where are all these people saying "it will be epic", "you will see the evidence"??? Something is still missing or it was also a part of this succesfull operation...
ReplyDeleteThey thought SCOTUS/lawsuits still mattered but now we know. Is it time to go underground to save this republic?
DeleteI'm waiting to see how long they can keep 'Basement Guy' hidden once he's in office. We know the complicit media will do their best, but there are certain functions expected of a president and it remains to be seen how long 'Basement Guy' can perform even the minimal in public appearances. I've read there will be a titanic power struggle behind the scenes between 'Dr' Jill and the usurpers.
ReplyDeleteDJL
Whoever the usurpers are will only matter later.
DeleteAs for now, according to the WSJ:
“Don’t *dare* call them protesters,” Mr. Biden said....
“They were a riotous mob. Insurrectionists. Domestic *terrorists*. It’s that basic. It’s that simple.”
I don’t believe those are the “usurpers” DJL is referring to. That battle would be between Dr. Jill and Kamala & Co. Dr. Jill didn’t go through all this to be just a “former FLOTUS” within a few weeks...
DeleteWe lost "the rights" issue long ago when they decided that one right could be dangerous and therefore less equal to other rights.
ReplyDeleteThat standard is open to be applied whenever and wherever it's convenient to quell issues for society.
Dread Scott was a fine example of that.
If I had better technical knowledge of CI and counter CI, special forces tactics and weaponry, I'd write the novel that I've been thinking about for ten years. It is similar to Vince Flynn's first novel, "Term Limits." The premise is that a group of former and current special operators go past the tipping point with the deep state corruption. They decide to take matters into their own hands--one bad guy/gal at a time. One per week.
ReplyDeleteAfter ten weeks, a list of the next ten targets is published--but no demands, no explanation. At the end of the first year, they publish a list of 100 names along with a manifesto exhorting everyone on the list to make a full confession of their perfidy and to the nearest FBI office to surrender. Failure to do so comes with obvious consequences. They have 24 hours.
Some of The List comply. Others don't. Some that comply are released by corrupt FBI'ers. The next day, the corrupt FBI'ers names have been added to the top of the list.
The story doesn't really have an ending. Think of The List as a running list of the worst 100 people in the world that either have to confess and take the legal consequences--or fail to do so and take the extra-legal consequences.
As regards the list, think in terms of the entire Davos set. The DNC. Much of Congress. The DoJ/FBI. The lawfare community. Can you even imagine what a cathartic novel and movie this would make? My wife doesn't want me to write it. After this week, I think she's right.
Sounds good to me; I'd like to read it. It should start with the Davos set, the money behind most political corruption.
DeleteThere are only a couple of major publishers and they are all headquartered in Manhattan. They are the subsidiaries of larger companies. Their major channel is Amazon. And the publishers staff, editors, etc is to the left. And they have used book advances as legal bribes for politicians such as Obama, Hillary, etc. and The NY Times best seller list is not based totally on volume, but is curated... the book industry is not in good financial shape.
ReplyDeleteI’m amazed a photographer can be forced to do a gay wedding, a cake shop to bake a cake for a gay wedding or be destroyed, gun dealers be discriminated by banks, and yet:
Shopify an e-commerce site killed the Trump store.
Facebook banning Trump
Twitter silencing Trump
YouTube censorship
LinkedIn
Google slanting their search results
And these outlets allow all the hatred against Trump supporters.
I can’t express how wrong this is.
And the way a few useful idiots actions are used to vilify Trump and his supporters, to censor them, Unperson person them, to gas light the stealing of elections shocks me.
The publishing business is controlled by Germans. Trump has openly suggested--multiple times--that the book advances and the Netflix deal were payoffs to Obama.
DeleteIndeed, legalized money laundering.

ReplyDeleteI might have already mentioned that, at your suggestion (implied if not express), I have ordered and recently received The Gulag Archipelago (abridged ed. - only 498 pages, plus several forewords, an introduction and author's note). The term insurrection is being tossed around as grounds for impeachment of Trump shocks me.

Seems lots of projection by Democrats.
At least some GOPers have jumped on that bandwagon, too. Madness. Turning on their own voters, and it's all BS. TDS is real.
DeleteInsurrection is a misnomer for revolution needing to happen.

Sidney & Gen. Flynn are now banned from Twitter, on grounds that:
ReplyDeletewhen it determines a group or campaign is engaged in “coordinated harmful activity,” it may suspend accounts that it finds **primarily encourages** that behavior.

DeleteNever fear. They would not be going down this road if they hadn't shopped around. They have a veritable army of Sullivans lined up. Expect a wave of show-trials over the next two or three years.
DeleteThe Left playbook is nasty, but in reality only one page long, double spaced. They're not doing anything original. Leftists takeovers always follow the same pattern.
