There's a highly amusing article at Red State today about a lying Dem named Pramila Jayapal:
Pramila Jayapal Is Caught in Embarrassing Whopper After Accusing House GOP of Giving Her COVID
Jayapal tested positive--whatever that means--yesterday. She quickly blamed her positive test result on nasty GOPers:
I just received a positive COVID-19 test result after being locked down in a secured room at the Capitol where several Republicans not only cruelly refused to wear a mask but recklessly mocked colleagues and staff who offered them one.
Problem: There is video of Jayapal during the lockdown, and she's not wearing a mask. Even though someone next to her puts a mask on. Woops!

Yeah, that's her.
So today Brad Schneider tried a similar stunt. He tested positive yesterday and today he's whining about the nasty GOPers--even mentioning Jayapal:
“Unfortunately, I received a positive COVID-19 test this morning following being tested yesterday on the advice of the House Attending Physician.
“Last Wednesday, after narrowly escaping a violent mob incited by the President of the United States to attack the Capitol and its occupants, I was forced to spend several hours in a secure but confined location with dozens of other Members of Congress. Several Republican lawmakers in the room adamantly refused to wear a mask, as demonstrated in video from Punchbowl News, even when politely asked by their colleagues. Today, I am now in strict isolation, worried that I have risked my wife’s health and angry at the selfishness and arrogance of the anti-maskers who put their own contempt and disregard for decency ahead of the health and safety of their colleagues and our staff. I am at least the third Member from that room paying the price, including Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a 75-year-old cancer survivor.
“Wearing a mask is not a political statement, it is public health guidance, common courtesy, and simply what should be expected of all decent people.
“We can no longer tolerate Members coming to the floor or gathering in the halls of Congress without doing the bare minimum to protect those around them. Those that flout public health guidance should be sanctioned and immediately removed from the House floor by the Sergeant at Arms for their reckless endangerment of their colleagues.
Here's the interesting part. Schneider received the first dose of the vaccine on January 4.
There seems to be a lot of this going around. Lying. But also people taking the vaccine and then getting the disease. Schneider claims he has no symptoms, but one wonders: Why would you take a test shortly after getting the vaccine? That makes no sense at all, unless you have symptoms. Or unless you're part of a political stunt.
Something somewhat oblique to the subject:
ReplyDeleteIs, "We can no longer tolerate...", the official motto of the D subparty. Seems like some D is saying it every time a TV camera is turned on. They can not tolerate a great deal it seems, except Antifa, calls for "re-education camps", Senators children without experience in multi million dollar business deals with criminal enterprises and totalitarian regimes, voter fraud, etc., etc., etc.

you've got it!
DeleteShe is the congresscritter, both in Madras, India, who looks as though she was dropped on her face. I wouldn’t be that nasty, but she is a really loathesome person. Full of vitriol. So there.

DeleteSoooo, have any of the maskless perpetrators tested positive? It was priceless to see the panic and fear in her eyes when the horde was at the gates. Wonder if it allowed her to reflect on what her constituents have been going through in Seattle. Nah, probably not.
