Bill Gates Becomes America's Largest Farmland Owner While 'Great Reset" Says Future Is 'No Private Property'
Are these Globalists hiding the ball from us? According to Forbes:
“After years of reports that he was purchasing agricultural land in places like Florida and Washington, The Land Report revealed that Gates, who has a net worth of nearly $121 billion according to Forbes, has built up a massive farmland portfolio spanning 18 states.”
“His largest holdings are in Louisiana (69,071 acres), Arkansas (47,927 acres) and Nebraska (20,588 acres). Additionally, he has a stake in 25,750 acres of transitional land on the west side of Phoenix, Arizona, which is being developed as a new suburb.”
And he's not the only one:
In terms of individual land owners, Gates is still far behind media mogul John C. Malone, who is in top spot with 2.2 million acres of ranches and forests and CNN founder Ted Turner, who owns 2 million acres of ranch land.
Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is also “investing in land on a large scale,” according to the report.
While billionaire philanthropists and technocrats are acquiring land at an accelerating speed, they appear to be telling the general public that in the future private property will virtually cease to exist.
Heh. They're talking about We The Little People.
Noteworthy. Many years ago, back in the mid 20th century, Christopher Dawson was writing that arable land and water were the key to the future. Not that I think Old Farmer Gates ever heard of Christopher Dawson and his thought.
There is a policy reason to gobble up land. Agriculture is seen by environmentalists as one of the biggest impediments to their climate policies. They tried bribing the industry with ethanol subsidies, but that turned out to not be enough. What they need is influential monopoly minded billionaires to get into the business. Then when states pass laws or make rules, they can influence policy.

It may not be quite so insane as I describe, but the left these days get pretty extreme. Can't take anything for granted.
I've watched the subject of water rights land purchases going back a decade or more. It's a big business for the Bush family.
ReplyDeleteFarm land buyouts are not new, Monsanto is about all you need to understand for how badly that goes on private farming rights and manipulation in crop production / seeding rights. The overall scope is just god awful.
NGOs and the likes have been on massive land buyouts and the construction of equally sized private compounds for the last several years.
Whatever Gates is up to you can bet it doesn't serve the good of the common individual.
Next up, private armies... Watch and see!
A friend told me the other day that farms were being bought by Chinese at twice or more their current value. He said there was an agent that was doing the buying on behalf of the Chinese nationals. In addition to this, the Chinese already own (I believe) most of the pork production facilities in the Midwest.

I'm a farmer in Missouri. We've seen rich investors involved locally, but not on a large scale. I know of one 80 acre tract that was purchased by a Chinese lady, but have heard of no other purchases.
