UPDATED: Subject: Hunter Biden And Associates

That, or something like it, might be how the subject line of the FBI's opening EC would have read:

EXCLUSIVE: A official confirms that in 2019, the opened up a criminal investigation into "Hunter Biden and his associates," focused on allegations of money-laundering, and that it remains open and active today. More very soon on your stations.

Investigations of this sort are like pulling on a loose thread to see what it connects to. The interesting question is: Who are those "associates"? Jim Biden? I'd bet on that. "The Big Guy?" Why not? Quite possibly Tony Bobulinski, although that may now have changed.

But then there's that email that Fox News obtained, that is said to be unrelated to Hunter's laptop. You can read all about it here: Email Reveals Joe Biden Would Get Cut Of China Deal. The idea behind the email--which is titled 'Phase one domestic contacts/projects'--is that Biden Inc. would steer lucrative infrastructure projects to the Chinese side, represented by CEFC. Sounds corrupt to me. Or potentially corrupt.

Follow the link for the full email, but here's the headers and the contacts:

From: Jim Biden <jbiden@lionhallgp.com>

Sent: Monday, May 15, 2017 12:56 PM

To: James Gilliar <james.gilliar@eei-group.com>

Cc: Tony Bobulinski <TBobulinski@nazent.com>; Hunter <rhbdc@icloud.com>; Rob Walker <rob@pilotgrowth.com>

Subject: Phase one domestic contacts/projects

1. New York

New York Senior Senator Chuck Schumer (D)

Junior Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D)

2.New York City

Maria Torres-Springer, President of New York City Economic Development Corporation

3.Virginia

4.Minnesota

Junior Senator Amy Klobuchar (D)

5. Florida

Senior Senator Dianne Feinstein (D)

Junior Senator Kamala Harris (D)

(Former, now Governor) Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsome (Hunter’s friend)

Mayor of Los Angelos Eric Garcetti

Mayor of San Diego Kevin Faulconer

Obviously, there's no way for us to know, just from this email, how deeply involved and how witting these contacts were regarding this whole business. I cite it just to give some idea of the scope the investigation might take on. And why it would still be ongoing, rather than having terminated, say, in the first week of January.

Bill Barr might be a very busy man in a second Trump term. As if he weren't busy enough already.

UPDATE: Note that Bobulinski says he was interviewed as a material witness and that he was questioned about Biden Inc. activities in multiple countries around the world--not just Ukraine and China. A five hour interview, a "very cooperative and deep dive" into all the facts during the relevant time period, and Bobulinski will be brought back for additional debriefing.

    1. Don't get sidetracked by the circus; focus on the money laundering/influence selling corruption that implicates Joe.

    2. Yikes! very tasteful article, given the subject. This is probably the worst thing in all the Hunter mess for the election...doesn't take any explaining and there's no Russians in the pics... Just looks like someone totally out of control having a wild life...not that there's anything wrong with that...but they just haven't been honest about who they are and what they're up to.

    3. Yeaaahhh... I really wish Joe Hoft wouldn't have gone there. Rodge Stone had way more couth than to sink as low as Bannon and Giuliani are going in this.

When you are digging up people's porn history you are just not in a good place.

Also, those pictures are of Hallie Biden, not the teenager.

Gateway Pundit can be incredibly deceptive and often VERY inaccurate in the way they spin things to sucker their readers into interpretation.

    4. I agree. This isn't necessary, even as payback for the things that have been said about Ivanka. Not a question of feeling sorry for anyone, so much as not wanting to get down into the mud yourself. Majorly dysfunctional family there.

TGP, I agree that you hafta be extremely careful with them.

  2. Been wondering, wasn CEFC's 10% share of Rasheft wasn't really Carter Page's share?

  3. Was CEFC's 10% share of Rosneft the same 10% that Steele said was offered to Carter Page?

    1. Of course that's why the Democrat Comey Brennan clown show had to get a FISA on Carter Page, to sabotage their own people. Right.

  4. Sounds as though James Biden’s “plausible deniability” defense will be subject to a very rigorous examination. He will be well served to let his attorneys do most of the talking for as long as possible.

    1. Here's a good rule of thumb: Don't talk about "plausible deniability" when you seek to maintain plausible deniability.

On another note, I read "Joe Biden" when I first heard "and associates". No way this goes away after the election regardless of who wins.

To the contrary, if Biden wins, the Establishment (Wall St., Sil Valley, Bezos, DS) will send, to all who go there, an Offer that can't be Refused.
When the Establishment tells the MSM to jump, the MSM will ask "how high?".

  5. Bigger than the Biden Crime Family. The Bigger Picture.

There are two dominant political parties in the US. One of them has nominated Joe Biden, and he remains in the race despite an avalanche of evidence that he is utterly unfit for office (he suffers from dementia, he is likely to be indicted for felony criminal acts, and his family is a walking invitation to blackmail).

Almost all major news organizations are actively concealing crucial information from the public in advance of a presidential election next week. And the Tech Tyrants are maliciously censoring public communication channels in furtherance of this news blackout.

What does that say about the state of our country?

The USA is the sole global superpower and commands the most powerful military force the planet has ever known.

Hijacking the presidency by a criminal Leftist cabal is a clear and present danger. The DOJ/FBI has seriously let the country down. This crisis should never have gotten this far. No one was minding the store in DC. And that is not a trivial matter.

  9. At a guess, I would say the FBI investigation was opened after this HSGAC - Finance report:-

    1. Could well be. The report doesn't say they're making a referral to the FBI, but that's not necessary. The make it clear that there appears to be criminal activity and also that there's a "vast web" of connections. Hardly surprising then that it's still ongoing.

    2. Interesting audio from hunter Biden complaining about himself and Joe Biden being named as witnesses in the SDNY case.

That would mean the FBI has had this for much much longer than December 2019 as GALANIS, ARCHER, and COONEY is 2016 vintage. (I've harped about this before)

The USA for SDNY at that time was Preet Bharara, I'd like to know more about Hunter and Mr Lawfair's phone call.

    3. Not necessarily, although I would like to know the details re Hunter's involvement in the Indian tribe scam. Just a witness or ...? If he was a witness, you hafta believe that at some point a decision was made that he wasn't a subject. Reasons?

This doesn't necessarily mean that the money laundering case back then is the same one now, although possible. We need to know more.

    4. Tucker:

Speaking of answers, we've received an awful lot of documents recently about Hunter Biden. We haven't aired all of them, or even most of them. The documents that are pertinent to his business career abroad and the favors he did on behalf of foreign clients with the help of his father, those seem relevant and newsworthy. We brought them to you and we're not ashamed of that.

But there are a lot of documents about Hunter Biden's personal life that we haven't brought you and that we're not going to bring you, and we should tell you why.

One is the obvious answer: He's not running for president. Hunter Biden is a fallen man at this point. I should also say that I knew Hunter Biden fairly well. We lived near each other in Washington for quite some time. I knew his wife, who's an absolutely outstanding person, a good person.

I never thought Hunter Biden was a bad person. I thought he had demons, though in the time I knew him, he kept them mostly under control. At some point, he lost control of those demons, and the world knows that now. He's now humiliated and alone.

It's probably too strong to say we feel sorry for Hunter Biden. But the point is that pounding on a man and piling on him when he's already down is something that we don't want to be involved in.

  10. I miss Julian Assange, honestly if wikileaks would have had this we would already know the leading and trailing emails and their relationships / involvement.

Giuliani has gone completely Infowars with this to the point of making Alex Jones sound reasonable. I'm sure the document is genuine but I hesitate to trust the implications without context.

I am all for and about big picture thinking and going for the gusto when it comes to shredding government corruption. But they are playing this to be as big as Clinton Inc and spygate.

The easy answer for the press (actual press, not MSM) would be to go after Rick Scott and ask why his name in on this. The answer would probably be more plausible than Russian disinformation.

"The author of the document, a self-identified Swiss security analyst named Martin Aspen, is a fabricated identity, according to analysis by disinformation researchers, who also concluded that Aspen's profile picture was created with an artificial intelligence face generator. The intelligence firm that Aspen lists as his previous employer said that no one by that name had ever worked for the company and that no one by that name lives in Switzerland, according to public records and social media searches."

  14. Andy McCarthy was on John Batchelor's radio show last night, and made a very interesting point re: "Money laundering" -- the crime of money laundering has a prerequisite that the money being manipulated has to be part of some OTHER criminal activity. IOW, the mere manipulation of money is not in and of itself, criminal money laundering.

His point is that to open a money laundering investigation, FBI must (should) have had evidence the financial transactions that Hunter and his partners were party to involved money that was "tainted" by some OTHER criminal activity.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's true. I had some exposure to money laundering investigation, although never took it to complete case. Various types of political corruption--kickbacks, bribery, etc.--are the most likely predicate offenses. However, when you get into the national security field, as this does, there could be other very serious possibilities. We've already seen evidence of the intent to steer contracts to Chinese companies in exchange for money, and evidence of helping Russians circumvent sanctions. So you have predicate offenses, or at least PC, which is all you need to start.
