MULTIPLE UPDATES: Ratcliffe Releases Docs Showing The Russia Hoax Was Approved By Hillary--And Was A Known Hoax

We recently saw the letter from DNI John Ratcliffe to Lindsey Graham in which Ratcliffe described handwritten notes of John Brennan. Those notes memorialized Brennan meeting personally with Obama, Susan Rice, James Clapper, and Denis McDonough and informing them that it appeared that "the Russians" were aware that Hillary Clinton was ginning up a Russia Hoax operation against Donald Trump to distract attention from her email scandal. Today the original notes were released, along with a CIA memo to disgraced former FBI Director James Comey--with attention to Peter Strzok. The CIA memo documents the CIA's referral of the matter described in Brennan's notes to the FBI--something that Comey denied all knowledge of in his recent testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Here are Brennan's notes, which are partially redacted. Note that one of the redactions appears to provide the identities of persons--presumably Russians?--involved in a discussion of Hillary's plans to smear Trump:

Here's a transcript of the notes, provided by Sean Davis at The Federalist (DNI Declassifies Handwritten Notes From John Brennan, 2016 CIA Referral On Clinton Campaign’s Collusion Operation):

“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activites from [REDACTED]. Cite alleged approval by Hillary Clinton–on 26 July–of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to villify [sic] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services.”

Two things:

First, Brennan refers to "stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security services." The tone of that passage clearly suggests that the redacted persons--and Brennan--understood that the "stirred up scandal" is a hoax. Note, too, that the purpose of "stirring up a scandal" isn't to make the truth known to the American people but rather to "vilify Donald Trump." Again, the clear implication is that this is a hoax--a political dirty trick.

Second, Paul Sperry says this about the unnamed "foreign policy adviser" to Hillary:

DEVELOPING: The "foreign policy adviser" who allegedly proposed "vilify[ing] Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services" was Jake Sullivan, now a top Biden aide. Hillary OK'd his proposal on July 26, 2016--days before FBI opened probe

Now here's the CIA referral memo to the FBI:

Formal CIA Referral To FBI ... by The Federalist

The memo purports to present positive results of the "Fusion Cell" studying Russian interference in the election--the "Fusion Cell" being an interagency task force, basically the FBI and CIA. Strzok, of course, would have been part of that "Fusion Cell." While the memo to Comey is in more bureaucratic language than Brennan's notes, it once again presents Hillary's scheme as designed, not to inform the American people, but to distract the American people from her own criminal activity (operating her private email server for official government business). Tantalizingly, the entire sub-paragraph (b) is redacted.

The release of these documents is a nuclear strike on the entire Russia Hoax--the Deep State directors of the Intel Community agencies (FBI, CIA, DNI), the Congressional and Senatorial enablers, and perhaps above all, the MSM.

And one presumes there will be more revelations coming.

UPDATE 1: Brooke Singman at Fox has a very thorough account. She believes that the JC in the notes is not James Clapper but James Comey. I prefer Clapper. If it were Comey you'd expect the memo to contain some reference to a previous discussion at which Comey was present.

Singman also quotes a source who makes the very pertinent observation that the information that Brennan was briefing Obama on was clearly NOT "Russian disinformation":

"This is not Russian disinformation. Even Brennan knew, or he wouldn't be briefing the president of the United States on it," the source said. "There is a high threshold to orally brief the president of the United States and he clearly felt this met that threshold."

It's refreshing to get beyond the Russian disinformation narrative. We're talking Prog disinformation.

Also, Brennan's claim to be gaining insight into "Russian activities" is rather ironic:

“We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED],”

Might the source of the supposed insight--[REDACTED]--by the UK's GCHQ, whose head, Robert Hannigan, who visited Brennan personally in Washington:

Instead both US and UK intelligence sources acknowledge that GCHQ played an early, prominent role in kickstarting the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation, which began in late July 2016.

...

According to one account, GCHQ’s then head, Robert Hannigan, passed material in summer 2016 to the CIA chief, John Brennan. The matter was deemed so sensitive it was handled at “director level”. After an initially slow start, Brennan used GCHQ information and intelligence from other partners to launch a major inter-agency investigation.

The reference here appears to be to the startup of the "Fusion Cell", but it would make sense to suppose that Hannigan continued to feed material to Brennan.

The irony, however, is that the insight seems not to be into Russian activity at all. Rather, the insight is into HILLARY's activity.

Next debate could be very interesting.

UPDATE 2: I just noticed this at SCRIBD. The CIA memo was uploaded to SCRIBD by The Federalist. The full description reads:

On September 7, 2016, the CIA formerly requested that the FBI investigate ongoing Russian knowledge of the Clinton campaign's plan to accuse Trump of Russian collusion to distract from Clinton's private e-mail scandal.

Now, you will scan that document--Formal CIA Referral To FBI To Investigate Clinton Campaign--in vain looking for a date on the CIA memo. That's because it's been redacted. Someone slipped up here. The clue to the fact that this memo was written after the Crossfire Hurricane opening (July 31, 2016) is that "Crossfire Hurricane" is in the "Subject" line. So I take it that this memo was written about a month after the Oval Office conference.

Doubly odd is that the CIA is requesting that the FBI investigate how the Russians found out about Hillary's shenanigans. I guess that's fine, but shouldn't the FBI have been directed by Obama to brief Hillary personally that he was on to what she was doing and that she had better knock it off because she was screwing around with sensitive national security matters? Am I the only one who finds it outrageous that Obama went along with Hillary's hoax? Regardless of the possible damage to relations with a significant nuclear power?

We really are deep into banana republic territory here. And the fourth estate--the MSM--could care less about our constitutional order or the danger that the Deep State represents to that order and to our freedoms as Americans.

Am I sounding a bit corny? But this is where we are. And the guy who planned this for Hillary is now a honcho adviser to Biden--whether Biden knows it or not.

  2. Look at para 3A in CIA referral memo;

Guccifer 2.0 makes an appearance at the end of the paragraph, which no antecedent basis in the unredacted text. ergo, the only antecedent basis for bring up G2.0 must be in the redacted passage immediately preceding the G2.0 info from "open sources." That suggests the initial reference to G2.0 is some classified info, likely in contrast to the "open source" info that he was linked to Russian Intel and hacked the DNC (which is demonstrably false.)

Lastly, why does the memo bring up G2.0 at all, unless G2.0 is part and parcel of Hillary's frame-up hoax of Trump colluding with Russia to hack the DNC?

  3. Some light speculation:

    Q. If you were Obama, and got briefed on this claim that Hillary was framing Trumpo for Russian Collusion as a campaign "dirty trick," what would you do straight away?

    A. Contact Hillary and ask her straight up if she's doing this. Why? Because if the Russian know she's doing it, they could blow it up and ruin her chances of being elected, or they could keep quiet, and black mail her after she wins.

Did he? What did she say? What did Obama do in response?

If Obama did nothing, what does it suggest?

It suggests he already knew the answer -- "the dog that didn't bark" -- that Hillary WAS framing Trump, and his admin may have been in on the plan. That's the only circumstance under which he would have no reason to confront her to find out the truth. He already knew she was doing it.

    1. Which referal? The one given to Comey from Brennan to investigate HRC or the doctored version from Brennan to Comey to implicate Trump? If Comey's refusal to answer questions like last week's Senate Judiciary hearings then he's only willing to burn in court and will implicate Brennan, Lynch and Obama. He's willing to wait his time until this is uncovered and vindicated that he was just following orders. Lynch IMO is imbedded in all of this from the beginning.

  7. So is this CIA CYA by Brennan? Maybe Brennan just found Comey/Strzok/et al to be useful idiots that he knew he could play into doing his dirty work for him? Or...he did his own dirty trick with the intelligence assessment, but he wanted nothing to do with the FBI's dirty tricks where the real legal liability was.

Whatever the explanation, it sure puts a lot of the blame on the FBI. I hope we get to see what Haspel is sitting on/holding up before the election so we can know if it was just a rogue FBI or if the CIA was in on it--the intelligence assessment manipulation by Brennan suggests they were part of the smear job on DJT. Brennan ran to his little leftwing activist buddies who pose as journalists over at the NYT — namely Adam Goldman who, just a few months ago, was still pushing the Sullivan-blasted-Flynn-for-treason line to his Twitter followers while dutifully omitting the second part wherein Sullivan admitted shortly thereafter that he was misinformed. That's the Propaganda of Record for you, but I digress.

Here's Brennan talking to Tapper at CNN a few days ago:

"If in fact what the Russians were alleging, that Hillary was trying to highlight the reported connections between Trump and the Russians — and that's a big 'if' — there is nothing at all illegal about that," Brennan said.

And here's NYT today citing "intelligence professionals":

"Intelligence professionals said the material could be Russian disinformation, but even if its substance — that Russian intelligence had information that Mrs. Clinton’s 2016 campaign planned to tie Mr. Trump to the Kremlin’s election hacks — were true, it hardly demonstrated anything nefarious about her."

Et voilà! The NYT turns singular John Brennan into multiple anonymous "intelligence professionals" — the highly questionable use of "intelligence" or "professional" being applied to the bullshit-spewing Brennan notwithstanding.

  16. “…the CIA is requesting that the FBI investigate how the Russians found out about Hillary's shenanigans.”

    Yes, in early Sept. ’16.

    1) It appears that, unlike the Obama Admin perpetually hiding the ball, these releases are occurring early to mid-week, rather than Friday afternoon’s, making them harder for the MSM to bury over the weekend. This is a rather positive sign that the Republican Party is in no way being consulted, they having not embraced a winning strategy since Anaconda. So there is hope that defeat will not be snatched from the jaws of victory.
    2) This release makes Brennan, Comey, Rice, and above all Obama inarguably culpable for the entire CH coup and Flynn’s framing. That they continued on past this date makes them all active participants in an overt coup attempt. That Obama did not say explicitly “shut it down” makes him personally responsible for the entire debacle. That he immediately wasn’t on the phone to Moscow and doing a Strangelovesque apology must give the world pause that world peace takes a back-seat to Hillary’s ambition and, by-the-by, John Kerry should get closely grilled about what he knew. The question must be raised, did Obama know about what was going on before Brennan briefed him. Had he already approved Hill’s tactics? He certainly knew all about her private server long before State security did and had no problem by-passing security by using it. He has proven to have no scruples foregoing duty for political expediency.

I just happened to watch a couple of documentaries this morning concerning the Nuremberg Trials and the trial of Adolf Eichmann. There were two Nazi’s at Nuremburg that were hanged, literally, not because of any order they gave, but explicitly for orders that they didn’t give. Eichmann was hanged on evidence of one signature on one order. The bar for these miscreants should not be higher.

"If, in fact, what the Russians were alleging that Hillary was trying to highlight the reported connections between Trump and the Russians, if that was accurate and a big if, there is nothing at all illegal about that," Brennan said.

Seems to me a bit of CYA in reference to the "illegal about that" context versus the bigger picture of conspiracy.

Let us all take a moment to admire and applaud John Brennan's slick verbal shell game. Clearly he's had a lifetime of practice honing his skills of deception. This new "narrative" he's constructed casts Hillary Clinton as merely attempting to bring attention to Trump's "reported connections" to "The Russians". She was just trying to protect the nation from a Russian agent! She's a veritable American hero!

What "reported connections" was Hillary valiantly "trying to highlight"? Well, the "reported connections" ginned up by cut outs working for ... the Hillary Clinton campaign. Those are the so-called "reported connections between Trump and "The Russians" that Brennan tries to position as existing independent of and apart from Hillary Clinton.

  26. Speaking of the Hillary Hoax, check out this tweet that says Durham has subpoenaed the people who reported the Alfa bank/trump computer "messages" hoax.

Fascinating that Durham is going here.

The claim of a secret communication channel between the computers was, of course, complete rubbish, but it was the very stuff the Sussmann, of Perkins Coie, peddled to James Baker at FBI to put flesh on Hillary's Hoax to frame trump in the Summer and Fall of the 2016 election.

I've never believed these computer scientists found this data by chance. One possibility is hackers planted old travel business software on the Alfa Bank Server that tried to resolved to an IP address that used to be on Trump tower server, but was no longer active. That would create the relentless "pinging" in the DNS server logs that the computer scientists claim caught their attention.

IF teh Computer scientists behind this can illuminate who told them to look for this, it could lead to the heart of the Hillary Hoax front end activity -- salting the ground with fake evidence to make the Hoax appear real.

    2. Details from an old Ap sptry:

      >> It is known that Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, the Clinton campaign’s opposition researcher who hired dossier writer Christopher Steele, pushed the server plot to then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr. His wife, Nellie, worked for Mr. Simpson at Fusion GPS as an anti-Trump Russia investigator.

According to Mr. Ohr’s meeting notes, Mr. Simpson told him the server was a direct communication link to Alfa and proof of Trump-Russia collusion. Mr. Simpson also said an October 2016 article in The New York Times was wrong for discounting the server story, according to Mr. Ohr.

As a go-between, Mr. Ohr sent Fusion’s information directly to the FBI, including to agent Peter Strzok, who led the Russia probe. Mr. Strzok was fired for sending a series of anti-Trump text messages to his lover, FBI attorney Lisa Page.

Now, newly revealed testimony from James Baker, the former FBI general counsel and close adviser to fired FBI Director James B. Comey, shows that Fusion tried another avenue inside the Obama administration.

In closed-door testimony in October, Mr. Baker told lawmakers on a special House task force that he met with Michael Sussmann, a partner in the Perkins Coie law firm, on Sept. 16, 2016.

Perkins Coie had represented the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, and funneled more than $1 million of their cash to Fusion, which paid Mr. Steele about $160,000 for his anti-Trump dossier.

Rep. Jim Jordan, Ohio Republican, asked Mr. Baker if Mr. Sussmann, a cybertechnology expert and former Justice Department attorney, pitched the Alfa server connection.

“Oh yes, I mean, that is what he told me about. Yeah, absolutely,” he answered, according to a transcript first reported by The Epoch Times.

      <<

This shows how vigorously both Steele, FusionGPS, and Hillary's lawyers were ALL humping the Alfa Bank Hoax to FBI and media outlets simultaneously.

That's not happenstance; it's a conspiracy to spread false info to flesh out the Hillary Hoax.

Wonder if Hillary used Perkins Coie to carry out some of the sensitive coordination, like salting the software onto the Alfa server, so they can hide behind attorney client privilege.

      Delete
    3. More:

      >> Steele testified under oath in London on March 17 and 18.

He revealed that Sussmann, a former Justice Department official, told him during a meeting on July 29, 2016 about suspicious network traffic between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, according to the transcript.

He also said that the theory about the computer server traffic was the catalyst for the dossier memo he would write six weeks later about Alfa Bank, the transcript shows.

“I’m very clear is that the first person that ever mentioned the Trump server issue, Alfa server issue, was Mr. Sussman [sic],” Steele told Hugh Tomlinson, a lawyer for the Alfa Bank owners, on March 17, the transcript shows.

Steele went on to say that Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson instructed him at some point after the Sussmann meeting to write a report about Alfa Bank, according to the transcript. <<

So Hillary approves the plan to frame Trump for colluding with Russia on the 26th of July, and on the 29th Sussmann, from her campaign's law firm, is planting the story with Steele, which Simpson later tells Steele to write up a memo about and send in as part of his Dossier work.

What was it Smiley said about "topicality" of intelligence?

And another Smiley quote seems applicable: "now how ever did he [Sussmann] get hold of that [Alfa Bank allegation], I wonder?"

This didn't happen by chance, IMHO. And Alfa Bank is now suing on the theory that computer logs were tampered with to create a fake impression of communications between their computer and Trump server.

Yes, I think Durham is onto something very big. The only way this makes sense is if somebody planted the software on the Alfa server to ping the out-of-date Trump server URL in the DNS.
