Commenter TexasDude has provided a link to a year old article in Politico that is guaranteed to leave you a bit slack jawed. It reminds me a bit of what Tom Fitton said last night, to this effect: "The dirty little secret about DC is that nothing's really secret. If Biden was into all these things you can count on it that lots of other people knew about it and were probably participating."
Here's the article and the beginning few paragraphs:
Over his decades in office, ‘Middle-Class Joe’s’ family fortunes have closely tracked his political career.
By BEN SCHRECKINGER August 02, 2019
The day the Bidens took over Paradigm Global Advisors was a memorable one.
In the late summer of 2006 Joe Biden’s son Hunter and Joe’s younger brother, James, purchased the firm. On their first day on the job, they showed up with Joe’s other son, Beau, and two large men and ordered the hedge fund’s chief of compliance to fire its president, according to a Paradigm executive who was present.
After the firing, the two large men escorted the fund’s president out of the firm’s midtown Manhattan office, and James Biden laid out his vision for the fund’s future. “Don’t worry about investors,” he said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of retaliation. “We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”
At the time, the senator was just months away from both assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and launching his second presidential bid. According to the executive, James Biden made it clear he viewed the fund as a way to take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money to his older brother or his campaign account. “We've got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” the executive remembers James Biden saying.
At this, the executive recalled, Beau Biden, who was then running for attorney general of Delaware, turned bright red. He told his uncle, “This can never leave this room, and if you ever say it again, I will have nothing to do with this.”
A spokesman for James and Hunter Biden said no such episode ever occurred. Beau Biden died in 2015, at 46.
But the recollection of an effort to cash in on Joe’s political ties is consistent with other accounts provided by other former executives at the fund.
And that's just the beginning.
"James Biden made it clear he viewed the fund as a way to take money from rich foreigners who could not legally give money to his older brother or his campaign account. “We've got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash ready to invest in this company,” the executive remembers James Biden saying."
ReplyDeleteThere are TWO "Fredos" in the Biden Crime Family?
"We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden ... We've got investors lined up in a line of 747s filled with cash..."
ReplyDelete"A 15 million dollar min— a 15 thousand dollar— ha. $15 dollar minimum wage," Biden said. "I'm dreamin' here!"
Hmm. Joe's mind quite often seems to be elsewhere.
If you go back and look at some of the more progressive media articles written prior to the 2016 democratic primaries (2015'ish) you will find dozens of articles like this.
ReplyDeleteNYT for example was trashing Biden to keep him out of race against Hilary using much of the same innuendos that we now have proof of from Hunters laptop.
It's really odd that no one can locate Barr at the moment. The Maggie Coons story today seems to defy the political again with another naked underage teen found in the Hunter Biden pic collection!
I wonder if daddy Senator Coons will keep defending his buddy Joe going forward.
2020... What a year!
According to the article, Joe Biden’s net worth was around $30k.
ReplyDeleteThe disturbing thing is that in 3 years, while Vice President, his net worth jumped to $7 million.
US Senators have had a salary of over $100k since around 1991. They also have an expense allowance, a very good one.
A net worth of a US Senator of $30k in 2009 in which the Senator has been in office since 1973 or so indicates serious leverage against his assets.
How in the world did he pay that debt off to have that kind of net worth in just 3 years on a VP salary?
I believe the investigative article gives a good reason why.
"How in the world did he pay that debt off to have that kind of net worth in just 3 years on a VP salary?"
DeleteHand-in-glove with that question is: What in the world did Hunter do with all the money that the CCP, Ukrainians, Russians, etc. paid him? There are not enough hours in the day to consume that much cocaine or service that many hookers (unless their working at Joe's minimum wage). Even digital millions don't simply evaporate. Given banking laws today there should be a money trail as wide as a city street.

Democrats had to nominate Joe Biden to save themselves.
ReplyDeleteImagine President Joe Biden prosecuting any of the Deep State corruption that has been discovered over the past four years.
Simply not possible.
"Imagine President Joe Biden prosecuting any...."
DeleteNo, but I can't imagine any prospective Dem President (save for maybe Tulsi) prosecuting any DS perps.
They had to nominate Joe, to save themselves from Bernie's aims to spank Wall St. & Sil. Valley, see e.g.

ReplyDeleteIn summary, the Chinese government funded a business that it co-owned along with the son of a sitting US vice president and Secretary of State who was directly or indirectly invested in the holding company
(Pg 27)
>In other words, the Chinese government purchased a business from a relative of the Secretary of State, while also being the major financier for the Vice-President’s son (via BHR)
(Pg 43)
>The primarily problematic aspect is that BHR appears to be receiving preferential treatment in which the sons of the American Vice President and the son, and likely American Secretary of State, receive financial benefits. This is state allocation of financial benefits.
(Pg 45)
>This returns the entire partnership to the fundamental problem: two sons of the Vice President of the United States and the Secretary of State willingly entered into a financial partnership with a government their fathers were supposed to deal with in an impartial manner. Evidence indicates that the Secretary of State was directly or indirectly financially invested in his sons firms and benefitted from asset purchases made by firms directly linked to his son. Hunter Biden invested in a firm that by his own words has had almost nothing to do with, managed by state government with departments dedicated to elite capture, focusing on state enterprise deals in a foreign country, but has grown to manage $6.5 billion in assets and likely realize yearly revenue of $100-150 million. The ultimate price would be whatever the Chinese Communist Party decides his partnership stake is worth.

DeleteThis document -- http://www.intelligencequarterly.com/Document/BidenChina.pdf -- which you link at the end of your post is devastating to Biden's argument that he doesn't know anything about his son's business...and much more.
Thanks for posting.
Chinagate intensifies:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/10/forget_the_hunter_biden_sex_tapes_the_real_news_is_much_bigger_than_that.html
This story at American Thinker summarizes three interesting allegations:
First: China has long owned Biden thanks to its having compromising information about his family (and possibly about him too).
Second: Biden identified CIA assets in China. The back story is that, between 2010 and 2012, China executed or imprisoned 18 to 20 assets who had bravely worked with the CIA, destroying a critical intelligence network.
Third: [A dissent Chinese billionaire, Guo Wengui, controls 'outlets' which] have “millions of videos and photos” of people who have worked with the Chinese against their own countries[, implying] that Guo managed to get into China’s “blackmail” database and can release that information.
Yep. I've been reading that and another article while listening to Bongino and Rudy.
Deletere pt 3: I wonder if Epstein played a part in this. Would explain a great deal about him being "untouchable".

Chinese Communist guy: "Nice income stream your family has there, Joe. Shame if something were to happen to it."
DeleteAdam Schiff on the definition of 'collusion' with a foreign government and the distinction between political and criminal 'collusion':
ReplyDelete"There is evidence in plain sight of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia... There was a big difference between whether there was evidence of collusion — and I think that evidence is in plain sight — and whether you can establish proof beyond a reasonable doubt of a criminal conspiracy...”
I wonder whether Schiff thinks the Biden Family's 'plain sight' associations with the Chinese Communist Party fall within his definition of collusion...
Hopefully Guo Wengu is the real deal and not a Rudy and Bannon psy ops.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be said that Rudy has a knack for trying to game out situations like that and getting caught mid stream. (Ukraine 6 months ago) Next thing you know everything is being discredited because of an attempted over amplification.
Maria Bartiromo made a point of featuring the Biden, Inc. Politico article (August 2019) on her Sunday program today. Ron Johnson going through many details. “The Vice President lied…”
ReplyDeleteSchweizer due on the program to discuss “the Biden Lift” that was promised anyone investing with the Bidens.
As I said: China, China, China. The sex is part of it all, but ... China, China, China. It's clear that Biden is a long term agent for China.
Delete@Mark
Delete"It's clear that Biden is a long term agent for China."
Certainly by Adam Schiff's definition...
Adam Schiff could never wrap his tiny brain around that, Cassander. Doesn’t fit his TDS narrative. He is preprogrammed. But by any normal person’s definition? You betcha. The Bidens were agents of China for a long time.
DeleteMark, if the FBI were investigating Hunter for money laundering, would they be able to get a NSL for his bank and financial records and trace where the money was coming from and going to?
DeleteI think your real question is simply, Would the FBI be able to obtain his financial records? That's easy--one way or another, Yes.
DeleteThe how is another matter. If this were strictly a criminal investigation it would need to be done with grand jury subpoenas. However, I believe that if the money laundering aspects were tied in to a overarching national security investigation then NSLs could be used.
Note that a grand jury subpoena was used for the laptop, but things can change.
I was really thinking that until money can be traced from Hunter to Joe directly or indirectly, then most people will not be persuaded. Inference and common sense will not do it. Experienced investigators would certainly be familiar with the process to mask the transfer, and if they had the records you would think they would have figured that out by now(assuming they are seriously pursuing).
DeleteLatvia traced $16 million that they tried to mask.

Well, I don't know about you, but I can hardly wait for Harris-Biden and gas at $10 a gallon once they start destroying the U.S. oil & gas industry that helped us achieve energy independence. Also looking forward to all the Harris-Biden voters screaming and crying when they're no longer able to afford to drive their carbon-emitting vehicles to their climate change protests.
