So Much Going On

It's almost impossible to keep up with it all, and it's certainly impossible to write about it all.

Shipwreckedcrew has a new article about a big development that could impact heavily on the whole complex of things revolving around the Russia Hoax:

Devon Archer — Hunter Biden’s Ukraine/China Business Partner — Has Fraud Conviction Re-Instated by Appeals Court and Faces Prison Time

I guarantee you, you need to read this.

Just for starters, the judge who let Devon Archer off the hook--which is why his conviction had to be reinstated--has an interesting connection:

The trial judge is a familiar individual if you’ve been paying attention to various anti-Trump efforts by the Democrats and the media — District Judge Ronnie Abrams.

Judge Abrams is the daughter of high profile New York First Amendment attorney Floyd Abrams, the brother of noted television personality Dan Abrams, AND MOST INTERESTINGLY the wife of Mueller Special Counsel prosecutor Greg Andres.  She was appointed by Pres. Obama in 2011.

I’m beyond giving anyone connected to the Obama Justice Department or the Special Counsel’s Office the benefit of the doubt on matters involving Pres. Trump.  Andres had been a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Obama DOJ Criminal Division in 2010-12.

The Mueller SCO was in full swing from June 2018 to November 2018, when Judge Abrams was thinking about, and ultimately decided to take Devon Archer off the hook and eliminate any incentive he might have to cooperate with the Trump Justice Department. The Second Circuit opinion is quite “dismissive” of the rationale she offered for doing so in her written opinion. They remanded the case back to the district court for sentencing. That’s where things might get interesting.

Devon Archer, who was, as SWC says, "joined at the hip" with Hunter Biden throughout Hunter's and Joe Biden's Ukraine--AND CHINA--escapades, stands to get some very serious jail time.

We all know that what we call the "Russia Hoax" is tied into a much bigger web of corruption. The Ukraine corruption we know has financed the likes of Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi, to name just two. Ukrainian operatives were also very active participants in the Russia Hoax. Is it any wonder that Bill Barr says that his investigation is "sprawling?" Of course it is.

Trump told Maria Bartiromo that when he questioned Barr about why Jim Comey hasn't been prosecuted, when there's evidence against Obama and Biden, Barr responded that he had "bigger fish to fry."

Number One: I don't doubt Barr. Money is behind all of this, and what's public only scratches the surface. The money people are the ones who call the shots when their money is at stake. If, as sundance likes to say, there are trillions at stake--and I accept that--and if Donald Trump being POTUS puts those trillions in jeopardy for the money people, then count on it: they're calling the shots on the whole complex web of corruption

Number Two: Who thinks Trump is just like the rest of us, waiting to find out what Barr's been up to? Please. Trump has a damned good idea about all of this. The real question remains, How much of all this will Barr and Durham be able to put together into a prosecutable package?

  1. The law can handle a lot of problems: attacks on persons and property, contractual disputes, and so forth. I am not sure that the law can handle attacks on the law itself. It might be necessary to think outside the box.

    1. You mean like federal bureaucrats and the revolving-door Deep State wantonly disregarding/violating the CFR and USC? No, you're absolutely right, the law cannot handle attacks on itself from within. The only real solution is serious prison time for those responsible.

    2. All politicians see with their own eyes Schumer was correct: "You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you".
The DoJ also has demonstrated the last 4+ years they are the problem, not the solution. Expecting the DoJ to cure the problem, while watching them stonewall, is wishful thinking.

Thinking outside the box: If Trump wins, wait for Barr to produce something. If Trump loses, Trump should declassify EVERYTHING himself. Burn it all down.

    3. "Expecting the DoJ to cure the problem, while watching them stonewall, is wishful thinking."

I'd put that a bit differently. The Deep State--and I say this without denigrating Horowitz's important work--was basically given a three year head start to stonewall and obstruct. To expect Barr to come in and magically transform DoJ and magically secure cooperation from the Intel Community without the stonewallers being shown the door by the only guy who can do that, Trump ... that's just not reality based. It's why Barr has handpicked USAs to come to DC to help him out--because the career DoJ people aren't up to or willing to do it. Mostly the latter. Barr has no control over key personnel in other agencies, no matter Exec Orders telling them to cooperate. He's done a great job with the tools he has.

      I agree with your conclusion.

    4. When I'm not bitching at Barr for not cleaning out the Augean Stables by himself, I admit to myself he's been a Godsend AG.

Trump would be smart to praise Barr publicly to show the country they're on the same team.

    5. Alas, since Mitch etc. don't play ball on recess apts., it's such an uphill struggle to get more good people in to help Barr..

  2. SWC recommends this tweet thread for details he doesn't cover:

Meanwhile, what are the odds Barr will have some prosecutor have a chat with Archer's attorney to see if his client has anything to proffer to play "Queen for a Day" in return for a reduced sentence?

    1. As you saw, the other defendant got 10 years. This was a big fraud. Archer has some incentive to cooperate.

    2. And the District Judge was a college classmate of Hunter Biden. Oh how thick the Deep State is.

    3. Devon Archer was Chris Heinz’s college roommate. Where did we see that the judge was Hunter’s classmate?

    4. I believe i saw this in SWC twitter feed link provided by someone in this blog where you skim though the tweets by a Bentallmadge person who’s been following this case for years.

    1. Also, don't you mean the sister of Dan Abrams? Or is the gender fluid on this one?

    2. Judge Abrams is the niece of Dan Abrams, daughter of Dan’s brother. Judge Abrams is female, the wife of Mueller Special Counsel prosecutor Greg Andres.

  4. To tie in a lot of disparate threads from various places and analysts -

    1) Sundance's claim that he put Aldenberg onto the SSCI who hadn't looked into it till July and then the New Yorker article intimating that Durham has grand juries impaneled but that the subpoena'd witnesses that relate to the SSCI (i.e. Dan Jones) are putting up a fight

    2) The Barnett 302, which was very substantive, showing that Jensen sat with Barnett only very recently,

    3) The sudden and unexplained departure of John Bash (and Nora Dannehy)

    4) The clear passage of Barr's soft deadline of late summer for 'developments', with no comment on said lack of developments from Barr - all on a matter which he knows has half the country holding their breath

    5) The fact that Patrick Byrne only spoke with Durham in July, not earlier. The fact that Brennan was not interviewed until very recently.

    6) That Sullivan has evidently been successful in punting the Flynn case till after the election

    7) That Haspel has managed to roadblock, and that '1000 documents' were only NOW released by Ratcliffe to Durham, and that POTUS is again trying to declassify more docs.

    8) That Stzrok and Comey have clearly decided their best bet is to pray for Biden, rather than spilling the beans now.

In summary, all these data points indicate that there will not be any indictments before the election. If Biden wins (fairly), we can safely assume indictments will go down before Jan. 21, 2021. If Trump wins, then Durham will have as much time as he wants after that.

    2. This, while Comey $ Co. are flaunting their Untouchability.
Will this spur Secession, or (unnoticed) dropping-out?

  5. Archer will wait hoping for a Biden victory, after which the case will be dropped by Biden's new AG. The other guy will just rot in prison.

This is also the plan of Sullivan- wait for a Biden victory, and Biden's new AG renews the case against Flynn.

  6. Have you any idea what pontoon plane barr accomplished at Ruby Ridge?

  7. Oral Arguments happened 11 months ago.
And only now was a decision made?

Decision can be appealed to the full court, from the panel. This will extend it past the election.

Strange, panel only seems to have been 2 people. Should be 3.

I really hate you can tell how a decision will go before many judges, based on whom appointed them. I am not surprised on the Judges connections.

  8. New SWC article on the Archer crime/reinstated conviction:

"Devon Archer is looking at probably no less than 10 years himself — likely more. He suddenly has a very strong incentive to seek out an opportunity to cooperate in any federal investigation of any other person where he might assist in the investigation or prosecution of other crimes.

He was at Hunter Biden’s side at every step along the way of Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine and China. If there are bodies to be unburied, Archer knows where to tell DOJ to dig."

    1. Yes, just read that. It's as I was saying. Jones is the link among Clintonistas/Obamistas, a handful (SWC says 7-10) ueber wealthy people who together ponied up $50 million, and Senate Dems. And the media. I like his suggestion that Jones was the conduit from the intel agencies to the media.

      Delete
    2. This is really potentially huge, and from the that standpoint you can see why Durham and Barr don't want to pull the trigger prematurely.

    3. How many people have picked up on this? Really not many. Chuck Ross.

    4. My read on this Jone angle is that Durham wants his testimony/comm records/etc., because Jones provided evidence related to Alfa bank/Trump allegation to Senate subcommittee in 2017. IOW, Jones can be asked "where did you get this "evidence"? "WHo gave it to you?" "How did they make contact with you?"

That goes to the origin of the fake evidence. AND if Alfa bank officials are right, it was either planted or fabricated to create the false impression there was data flowing between the bank's computers and some Trump entity server when in reality there is NO REAL EVIDENCE ANY DATA WAS EVER EXCHANGED BETWEEN THEM.

IF Durham can identify Tea Leaves and Max, and can link them to a plot to fabricate evidence provided to the FBI and Senate investigators, they can be flipped to rat out whoever did the fabrication and pointed them to the fake evidence.

And when Durham has the fabricators, he can squeeze and flip them to find out who told them to do it, and that gets Durham into the very heart of the conspiracy that set this fabricating a hoax allegation against a rival political campaign in motion.

It's possible Jones played a larger role, but even if he didn't, you can see how Jones' testimony and evidence could lead Durham to the Grand Conspiracy Holy Grail.

    5. Could well be more complicated than that, but it does look like Durham and Barr believe this is a promising line of investigation.

  10. Maybe stretching himself too thin, instead of making big busts on one aspect, big enough to make a real diff, before he's removed by Biden.
If he thinks, that appointing an SC before he's replaced will mean diddly, I'll bet that the Dems'll have a slew of ways, to sabotage, neuter, or eliminate such an SC.

  11. Some seem to have decided that Biden is going to win. Barr will be replaced. Huh?

Even one non-conspiracy charge, vs. a big fish, would help so much, to forestall the Left's crowing, about how all this SpyGate talk is at best paper-thin.
