Kamala Harris Divides Black Voters

While most likely Black voters regard Harris in a positive light, that's not enough good news. "Most" is not good enough. Dems need overwhelming support and enthusiasm, and it's not there. Fully one third of likely Black voters told Rasmussen that the Harris pick makes them less likely to vote Dem. Obviously those would be voters who know about her actual policy track record. The more voters learn the worse it will be for the Dems. And it's not as if Harris provided any significant bump.

  1. When the truth gets out about her actions as the Prosecutor in SF and AG in CA, many more black Americans will turn against her.

    1. Question is how is the message going to get out about her Prosecutor and AG days? Will Pence have the fortitude to bring it up in the VP debates? will Trump need to "tip his hand" during the Presidential debates where the audience will be more inclined to follow?

    2. It is already getting out. Conrad Black has a lot to say about Harris, including this:

Ms. Harris has many critics among the 98% of Democrats who did not support her candidacy for president. The Left is displeased with her performance as San Francisco’s district attorney and as attorney general of California: she always called for maximum sentences and condoned the widespread American practice of prosecutors extorting or suborning inculpatory false evidence by threats of indictment if that evidence is not forthcoming, and promises of immunity from prosecution for perjury if it is.

Loyola law professor Lara Bazelon recently accused Ms. Harris in the New York Times of having “fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that included evidence tampering, false testimony, and the suppression of crucial information.”

The nature of her primary targets is pretty well known in California...

    3. And then there is this:

Peter Schweizer: Kamala Harris Refused to Prosecute Priests’ Sexual Abuse After Church’s Lawyers Funded Her Campaign

Harris was the only DA among those from the top 50 metropolitan cities not to lay charges against clergy for sexual abuse, said Schweizer, reflecting on Harris’s tenure as the San Francisco DA between 2004 and 2011.

Schweizer stated, “The numbers are pretty stunning. From 2004 to 2011, Kamala Harris was the San Francisco [district attorney] responsible for all prosecutions and the prosecution team in the San Francisco area. Between 2004 and 2011, she did not prosecute a single case of priests’ sexual abuse–period.”

Schweizer continued, “To put that in the context of how stunning that is, if you look at the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States at that time, all 50 prosecuted at least one case, the sole exception being Kamala Harris in San Francisco.”

    4. Ah, that would be one way to launder the money. And if you think you're offending me, guess again.

    5. Sounds like Harris would be perfectly comfortable in the Mueller-Weissmann tree of prosecutors.

For those Dems who are bothered by her conduct, it will be interesting to see how they square that with future revelations (for them) of the SCO's conduct..

    6. My goodness! Never any attempt to offend you, Mark. Never.

  2. On Hannity the other night Leo Terrell predicted Trump will win 25% of the black vote.

  3. Please, God ...

That would be a tremendously healthy development for this country.

  4. Well something is going on BC Terrell used to be the quintessential “angry black man” who saw everything- & I mean EVERYTHING- thru a prism of race, he was literally Al Charlatan with a law degree. Used to hear him on the Larry Elder Show out here in L.A. & I could predict what he was going to say/do. And you never heard such anger! If you see him on tv now his earlier outlook has cut deep crevices in his brow, making it look like he’s frowning even when he smiles.

Don’t know what happened or when but he’s done a Scrooge-like 180. All I can say is God Bless you Mr Terrell & welcome to the side that will never take you for granted!

    1. The theory that most likely accounts for his change, is one involving MGTOW.
If Hannity's hope above holds, on 25% going to DJT, I'll chalk it up mostly to "believe all women!"
Many black guys are famous for kissing their womens' asses, but even some of them have male friends who have been creamed by the MeToo! etc. juggernaut.

    2. He's redirected his anger in a more productive direction. I'm not about to second guess him. :-)

  5. There was a pretty useful article in June from, believe it or not, Politico, on the thinking of some middle- and upper-class Detroit blacks. A very quotable quote from the piece is this:

    /
But there was no such unanimity on Biden’s actual shortlist. In fact, the harshest criticisms were reserved for the person widely viewed as the frontrunner, California Senator Kamala Harris.

“She’s fake. She’s phony. She’s not one of us. She built a political career by over-prosecuting Black kids,” Neal said.

Yancey agreed: “You know, back when I was a prosecutor, my bosses would always say, ‘We’re not social workers.’ But as Black women, we should have some of that social worker sensibility. Kamala wasn’t like that.”

    FWIW.

    1. I suspect word about all this will spread fairly quickly on Black web sites.

    2. "She’s phony. She’s not one of us."

Regarding this, Zman made gripping points today:
"Obama may have been a mixed-race son of privilege, but he strongly *identified with black* identity by choice....
Identity goes much deeper. It is the *essence of who we are*, because it represents the long arc of history that led to our existence.
It’s the *confluence of history and biology*. It’s why Africans are not African-American.
It’s also, why Kamala Harris is *not a person of color* to black Americans.

That’s why Harris was probably the *worst choice* for Biden. She helps bring in *South Asian* money from Silicon Valley.
The tech monopolies will now swing into action, in a million little ways, to help their *co-ethnics*. She will titillate the upper middle-class whites, who reliably vote Democrat.
She will *turn off blacks*, however, who see in her, what they see at the cash-only convenience store in their neighborhood. A *foreigner*, leap-frogging them in the hierarchy of American identity...."

  6. Here's a really good read. Who with an ounce of sense could understand what's going on and vote Dem?

  7. And don't forget Obama has said: Never underestimate Joe Biden's ability to eff things up. That judgment will be making the rounds of the interwebs, suppressing Dem votes.

  8. The more voters learn the worse it will be for the Dems.

Ha. Who's going to tell them?

  9. Well they can run the campaign like it doesn't matter, because it doesn't. The fix is in. Mail in voting will be a disaster and congress will select the next president. They don't trust the American people to vote the right way anymore. This is the last election for America -- this current country anyway.
