"I Caught The Swamp"

Yes, I picked this up from Gateway Pundit, and you can read it all there. However, this is an illustration of why I'm skeptical of some of sundance's dire conspiracy theories about Barr being corrupt, or being blackmailed, or ... something or other.

President Trump is hinting at big developments--soon. Dan Scavino is White House Director of Social Media:

And Trump himself said, in a helicopter press conference: "I caught the Swamp."

“All of the things going on--and you know what I mean by that, the Fake News, the Comeys of the world, all of the bad things that went on--it's called The Swamp. And you know what happened, you know what I did? A big favor. I caught the swamp, I caught 'em all. Let's see what happens. Nobody else coulda done that but me. I caught all of this corruption that was going on, and nobody else coulda done it. On top of that, we have the best economy, the greatest economy we've ever had."

I can't accept that the White House, via Scavino, would be teasing developments with the Tick Tock, or that Trump would be stating so definitively--"I caught the swamp, I caught 'em all," and naming Comey specifically--if there weren't developments coming soon.

  1. The rotors were spinning in homage to Wrangler -- He said "bought" the swamp. Gonna build a big, beautiful golf course on Foggy Bottom.

  2. I saw that earlier. Don't know what to make of it, and won't venture a guess. Could be something big, or just another nuthinburger.

    1. But the WH doesn't normally tease things that don't happen.

  3. The odd thing, though, was that not one reporter asked a question about that statement.

    1. Odd people. Matt Taibbi has an article about how odd they are.

Trump isn't just living rent-free in the heads--he's operating inside their OODA loop.

Reporters didn't (and don't) ask because that "can of worms" would be a distraction from The Narrative, i.e. inconvenient facts aren't just unwelcome, they're distinctly avoided.

The art of today's media world is as much about what is excluded, as what's included.

As if I needed another reason to love this President.

  6. After the ABC/CBS actions can any MSM ask questions about "whistleblowers"? Will not DJT throw it back at them?

  7. In light of Scavino's tweet, Trump's comments, and Benjamin Wittes' commendation of Lisa Page on twitter, methinks we may see Andrew McCabe indicted next week (deadline for DOJ to indict for the HRC leaks is Nov 15th).

    1. I noticed the Lisa Page tweet by Wittes, and also thought it might tie in to this. Maybe she's due to appear before a grand jury, and that was a call out to her?

  8. The Matt Taibbi article linked above is quite good. Are Taibbi and Stephen Cohen the last honest Lefties alive...

    1. He kept me laughing through much of it, even with the serious point. It's all so absurd.

Not too many honest lefties. Those two have been consistent.
