UPDATED: Just For Laughs

I have a searchable copy of the Constitution bookmarked, but somehow ...

Lefties--the stupid people.

UPDATE:

  1. I'll share an interesting speculation that I read today.

A transcript of the phone call was placed on two computers:

    1) the usual computer

    2) the super-secret computer.

Vindman had access to the usual computer and was able to add statements to the effect that Trump demanded repeatedly that Zelensky investigate Biden. Then Vindman gave a copy of his altered transcript to Schiff, who summarized it aloud at a Congressional hearing.

When Vindman had given his altered transcript to Schiff, he did not realize that the original transcript was on the super-secret computer.

Vindman's changes to the transcript can be documented by the original computer -- which was made available to NSC staffers as a trap.

All this will be revealed during the Senate trial.

  2. The US Government does not ask foreign governments to investigate US citizens?

Somebody better tell the IRS about that rule.

    1. Indeed, what an asinine thing to say out loud.

    2. It's all just completely bonkers, end-justifies-the-means craziness.

    3. That's funny because the US has a treaty with Ukraine specifically targeted to law enforcement cooperation. You'd think someone engrossed in US/Ukraine affairs would know that...

  3. I intently studied the IC IG's rules for whistleblowing. I found that "....but do not include differences of opinion concerning public policy matters." It seems to me that Vindman and Ciaramella have policy differences with the President.

Also, Obama made some significant changes to whistleblowing in 2014. It's not unreasonable to assume that he did this because they were already covering their bases for the future.

    1. Yes, this is a case of an IG (Sullivan) abusing his office for political purposes. He should be publicly chastised at every opportunity. His offence is even more egregious than Ciaramella's.

    2. I believe the IG's name is Michael Atkinson.

    3. Yes. My mistake. I read that piece over at the Federalist this morning and I guess Sullivan got "stuck".

  4. I want to add another thought about my above speculation.

If Vindman tried some monkey business with the computer(s) holding the telephone-conversation transcript, then the White House might have proof of Vindman's monkey business, but the Congressional Democrats have no information about it.

This is information that only the White House (i.e. Trump) might have. The White House can keep this information secret until the Senate trial is underway.

    1. Absolutely. I believe this would blow sky high if there were ever a trial.

    2. I try to restrain my enthusiasm but I think that Mike is on the right track. I suspect that these dopes have walked into a lot of traps.

Of course since I don't know for sure, I try to patiently wait to see what the future brings.

I am up and down with my patience. It appears that we are getting close to some bombs being dropped on the Deep State. This only heightens my patience or impatience.
