Major New HCQ/COVID Studies Suppressed By TDS

I'll just provide two links and some brief excerpts, while urging everyone to read the articles and share them.

Monica Showalter at AmThinker this morning does an excellent job with her Bad medicine: Fauci's HCQ Waterloo. Regarding the science angle she largely summarizes an article by Dr. Stephen Hatfill at RCP. Then she draws out the implications regarding Fauci--and Trump:

It's probably going to be hard for President Trump to find a way to fire this guy, but the picture emerging is extremely disturbing. Fauci's suppression of hydroxychloroquine studies, his odd devotion to the new and profitable drug Remsdesivir (which we have noted many NIH officials hold monetary stakes in) and Fauci's earlier papers from years back touting the importance of hydroxychloroquine on other kinds of COVID viruses paint a damning picture of what is going on, a horrible confluence of financial interests and a desire to extend the pandemic to Get Trump at a huge cost of lives. It's time to start thinking about how to get him out of there, fire him, bring in someone serious about using the widely known global knowledge about HCQ who's willing to move on it. This much incompetence is doing tremendous damage to President Trump and American people, both lives and economy. Get him out of there, he now stands exposed as a complete incompetent and has got to go. If Harry Truman could fire the vaunted Douglas MacArthur, Trump can fire Fauci, too.

I think Trump needs to pull the plug on this guy, but also on some advisers.

The Hatfill article is a summary of major new findings re HCQ which appear to conclusively demonstrate its effectiveness in bringing the Covid pandemic under control--when used properly. Hatfill paints a disturbing picture of the United States floundering in its response while Third World "hellholes" deal with Covid and move on with far less damage. This is a huge scandal:

An Effective COVID Treatment the Media Continues to Besmirch

After summarizing the epidemiological evidence that demonstrates the "gamechanging" effectiveness of HCQ when properly used--in the first seven days of Covid onset--and the complicity of the MSM in demonizing HCQ for anti-Trump purposes, Hatfill concludes:

Here in our country, Fauci continued to ignore the ever accumulating and remarkable early-use data on hydroxychloroquine and he became focused on a new antiviral compound named remdesivir. This was an experimental drug that had to be given intravenously every day for five days. It was never suitable for major widespread outpatient or at-home use as part of a national pandemic plan. We now know now that remdesivir has no effect on overall COVID patient mortality and it costs thousands of dollars per patient.
Hydroxychloroquine, by contrast, costs 60 cents a tablet, it can be taken at home, it fits in with the national pandemic plan for respiratory viruses, and a course of therapy simply requires swallowing three tablets in the first 24 hours followed by one tablet every 12 hours for five days.
There are now 53 studies that show positive results of hydroxychloroquine in COVID infections. There are 14 global studies that show neutral or negative results -- and 10 of them were of patients in very late stages of COVID-19, where no antiviral drug can be expected to have much effect. Of the remaining four studies, two come from the same University of Minnesota author. The other two are from the faulty Brazil paper, which should be retracted, and the fake Lancet paper, which was.
Millions of people are taking or have taken hydroxychloroquine in nations that have managed to get their national pandemic under some degree of control. Two recent, large, early-use clinical trials have been conducted by the Henry Ford Health System and at Mount Sinai showing a 51% and 47% lower mortality, respectively, in hospitalized patients given hydroxychloroquine. A recent study from Spain published on July 29, two days before Margaret Sullivan’s strafing of “fringe doctors,” shows a 66% reduction in COVID mortality in patients taking hydroxychloroquine. No serious side effects were reported in these studies and no epidemic of heartbeat abnormalities.
This is ground-shaking news. Why is it not being widely reported? Why is the American media trying to run the U.S. pandemic response with its own misinformation?

I think we know the answer to those questions. This should be as big a story as the Russia Hoax--with which it has so much in common from a political hoax standpoint.

  1. Maybe on November 4 the President can have the locks on Fauci's office changed...

    1. This doesn't seem so very difficult to manage. Destroy Fauci in a sea of committee members and Urgent New Task Forces. Hire 20 of these doctors who agree that CCP flu is not the Zombie apocalypse and then let them spend endless hours debating with Fauci the optimal solutions, all under the strictest agreements of confidentiality. Then float a tidbit known only to Fauci and see if he leaks to the press. Bam. Fired for divulging privileged government information.

  2. The words of Dr. Zev Zelenko are memorable:

“There are forces that confused the president, that vilified and fear-mongered hydroxychloroquine usage. And the reason why is they have in the pipeline remdesivir and vaccines that they want to push through. So, hydroxychloroquine stood in the way of trillions of dollars.. I think the president’s instincts are greater than all of his advisors combined and I beg the president to please just follow your instincts.”

    1. Yes. He should have acted sooner.

    2. I don't think that would have been politically possible for Trump.

A challenge is the opposition controls the statistics (and CDC, FDA, Medical Establishment, etc), and can use those to lie through their teeth, and make Trump an Evil Murderer, when he went against the advice of Saint Fauci on HCQ.

    3. I'd agree generally, but still wonder whether he could have gotten it done if he'd acted decisively early on.

  3. The best analogy I have is that Fauci is like a tick that has burrowed into your skin. You don't find the tick until the area is infected and painful. You know you have to remove the tick but it is going to be painful with a load of antibiotics after the excision; but life will get much better after the tick is gone.

Remove the tick and let the healing begin...

  4. Fauci still has HUGE Credibility on Covid with the electorate.

And the scientific studies have not been there that Trump can use.

What Trump is doing, is allowing Fauci and supporters to destroy their credibility by over extending on their opposition to HCQ.

And there may be another challenge, is the supply of HCQ just has not been available in the US.

The Swiss Chart of Deaths, with the increase after they stopped it due to WHO and that Lanclet study for a couple of weeks, has been the best evidence I saw on the effectiveness of HCQ.

I am in shock, over how over the top the anti HCQ people have been. Words fail me. I would not have believed it possible this level of crazyness. Neil Cavuto, Fox News Anchor for example, with the statement taking HCQ "Will Kill You".

  5. Is that the same Dr. Hatfill, Robert Mueller tried to frame for the 2001 Anthrax attacks?

    2. It is. And now that he's a known anti-Fauci/pro-HCQ actor, Mueller can smear and frame him as a Russian agent, too.

  6. Back in May, Julie Kelly tweeted, "The CDC is the 2020 version of the 2016 FBI/CIA." (bit.ly/31BIMPw)

It doesn't strike me she was wrong, not by much anyway.

  7. So how is the FDA getting away with ignoring this data for HCQ ?
HCQ should be made available OTC for the next several months.
Limit the amount to 15 pills per person.
