After the usual reassertion that everyone is created equal, Biden slipped in the need to ”root out systemic racism that plagues America… White supremacy is terrorism” and has “surpassed Jihadism” as a menace. He gave no hint of what he thinks of organizations that are constantly threatening to burn America down if they're not successful in extracting a full-body immersion in self-humiliation from the majority of Americans who despise all racism. Rarely in his rabidly bowdlerized summary of the nation's affairs does the president allow the truth to intrude. This made the opposition response by Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina particularly effective. In sum, Biden’s address was cringe-worthy, fatuous, and deeply distressing. The State of the Union is almost at suicide watch.
For good or bad, COVID-19 has changed the way we navigate the world. It is also redrawing the boundaries of our world (and our freedoms) and altering the playing field faster than we can keep up.Owing in large part to the U.S. government’s deep-seated and, in many cases, top-secret alliances with foreign nations and global corporations, it has become increasingly obvious that we have entered into a new world order—a global world order—made up of international government agencies and corporations. This powerful international cabal, let’s call it the Global Deep State, is just as real as the corporatized, militarized, industrialized American Deep State, and it poses just as great a threat to our rights as individuals under the U.S. Constitution, if not greater. We’ve been inching closer to this global world order for the past several decades, but COVID-19, which has seen governmental and corporate interests become even more closely intertwined, has shifted this transformation into high gear.Fascism has become a global menace.
And, we won’t ignore what our own intelligence agencies have determined – the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today is from white supremacist terrorism.
Biden’s remarks echo comments by FBI director Christopher Wray in March congressional testimony.“The problem of domestic terrorism has been metastasizing across the country for a long time now, and it’s not going away any time soon,” Wray said at the time. “We viewed it as such a critical threat that back in June 2019 we elevated racially and ethnically motivated violent extremism to our highest threat priority, on the same level as ISIS and homegrown violent extremists.”However, Wray said that while the biggest part of the FBI’s domestic terrorism cases involve white supremacists, not all domestic terrorists could be classified as such.“One of the things we struggle with in particular is that more and more, the ideologies, if you will, that are motivating these violent extremists are less and less coherent, less and less linear, less and less easy to pin down,” Wray said. “In some cases it seems like people coming up with their own customized belief system – a little bit of this, a little bit of that – and they put it together, maybe combined with some personal grievance that’s happened to them in their lives, and that drives them.”
After running as moderate, president is governing as "Trojan horse for this radical left-wing agenda," said 2016 Trump pollster John McLaughlin.
..."The fact he's only in the low 50s right now is a really bad sign for Joe Biden," says pollster John McLaughlin....Pollsters and pundits alike will spin Biden's ratings in different directions, but McLaughlin says that based on his 3 1/2 decades in the industry, the president's numbers are a dark omen for his party's short-term success. During a recent interview on "Just the News AM," he said he doesn't "think there's any question" that Biden's mediocre numbers have set Republicans on track to reclaim not just the House of Representatives in 2022, but the Senate as well.... "Republicans can't wait to get into election season and talk about some of the things that are in those bills ... expanding the welfare state, tax increases, basically open borders. That's not where the American people are right now."...Biden "is literally the Trojan horse for this radical left-wing agenda," said McLaughlin. "And despite what the national media and the Democrats may tell you, that's just not where the American people are right now."McLaughlin cites Biden's eroding support among political independents as a key indicator of a changing national mood. While most independents, he says, have been leaning left over the last few years, data from the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll suggests that a significant shift is underway, as only 47% of independents now approve of the president's performance, and 45% say he is too liberal — a figure up from 21% one year ago.... With a slim majority in the House, and a working majority in the Senate only by virtue of the vice president's tie-breaking vote, Biden is opting to push an aggressively left-wing agenda with limited political capital.Independents "are leaning Republicans, and it's happening way quicker than it did during the Obama administration," said McLaughlin. "And we all know what happened during those midterm elections. In the 2010 "wave" election, Republicans recaptured the House with a 63-seat pickup, gained seven Senate seats and 6 governorships, and made sweeping gains in state legislatures across the nation.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Biden’s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 30% who Strongly Approve of the job Biden is doing and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. (see trends)
Approval of Biden's presidential performance peaked in mid-February, when his total approval reached 53% versus 43% total disapproval.
"Fascism has become a global menace."
ReplyDeleteI think this needs to be re-branded:
Fauscism has become a global menace.
The climate fanatics are just salivating at the power possibilities this new health emergency has brought to the tool box. Climate lockdowns are next!
I like it!
DeleteEdit to previous post: Fauccism has become a global menace.
ReplyDelete"This powerful international cabal, let’s call it the Global Deep State, is just as real as the corporatized, militarized, industrialized American Deep State"...
ReplyDeleteYep...
I'm also ok with being called a domestic terrorist. Terrorism has always been considered a valid military tactics. White supremacists in today age is a white myth.
Don't blame me for being radicalized against the deep state though, it was their labeling and messaging that made me what I am.
Embracing a bestowed destiny and role isn't always a bad idea! 😉

ReplyDeleteI did not realize the wife of the top CIA Analyst that suicided, was involved in the Christine Blasey Ford Jihad against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and descended from basically Democratic Nobility.
What a small world...
An intersection of two hits jobs. One on Trump, and one on Kavanaugh. And somehow the same players keep on showing up.

ReplyDeleteSmearing someone targeted for regime change is a standard CIA tactic to foment a "color revolution." Many observers thought that, in addition to the soft coup attempt of Russiagate, the slurs hurled at Trump, such as "fascist," "white supremacist," "Nazi," etc. were right out of the CIA's regime change playbook.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, Democrats have learned that the quickest way to silence the political opposition, or any critics, is to call them "White Supermacist" or "racist." These words have lost all meaning; they are performative utterances intended to shut someone down and target them for mob assault. Democrats' and the FBI's "domestic war on terrorism" is their plan to criminalize political opposition and critics and label them "terrorists." Frightening times.
Clintons did the same thing...and mobilized a lot more government resources in the process than most people realize!
DeleteAs a note in passing and, just for the record, Whitehead writes about 'global war profiteering':
ReplyDelete"Although the federal government obscures so much about its defense spending that accurate figures are difficult to procure, we do know that since 2001, the U.S. government has spent more than $1.8 trillion in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq..."
Whitehead links to the Cost of National Security page on the National Priorities Project website (https://www.nationalpriorities.org/cost-of/) which shows that the $1.8 trillion number which he quotes is only one component of the overall cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In fact, according to the National Priorities Project, the total cost of wars since 2001 is $5.36 trillion, and still -- today -- increasing at a rate of $32 million an hour.
I know these are all such big numbers that they are hard to process, but $5.36 trillion seems like a pretty big number.
Moreover, the Brown University Cost of War Project estimates the costs of Middle East wars since 2001 as follows:
"Through Fiscal Year 2020, the United States federal government has spent or obligated $6.4 trillion...on the post-9/11 wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and elsewhere". (link: https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/costs/economic)
There is plenty more data on both websites for anybody interested in a better understanding of the total costs of our 21st century American wars.
Does anybody think we've got our money's worth?
Lloyd Austin? I'll be a lot of the generals think they got their money's worth.
DeleteI am reminded of banana republics where the generalissimo and his cronies vacuum up as much loot as possible before the whole house of cards crashes down.
DeleteI guess I should have asked, "Does any one of us think we've got our money's worth?" :-)
DeleteSadly, that's the point. It's not as if we get a say in these forever wars. Look at the extent of our foreign involvements and ... no great national debate, and if anyone questions it, well, the get Trumped.
DeleteFood for thought

Delete"no great national debate"
To your point, for about three years Rep. Adam Schiff told us regularly that President Trump 'colluded' with Russia. The implication was that this was very bad.
Not only did Rep. Schiff never come up with proof of any 'collusion', to my knowledge he never explained why any such 'collusion', if it occurred, would be bad.
Even worse, to my knowledge, the lap-dog press never asked him why?
After I die, if I am given a choice what I want to come back as, I will choose to be a historian of the Obama/Biden Era. It should be a lot of fun.
