Given the nature of the toxic tribal environment surrounding current U.S. politics, it is critical for John Durham to protect his mission from even the appearance of impropriety. One can easily imagine how everyone in/around the purposefully tight group would demand utmost confidence and security with any aspect of their investigation.
Certainly if a special prosecutor like John Durham was to receive critical material to assembly a political “Little Boy”, anyone in/around the delivery process would be required to go completely silent thereafter. It is the only safe way to ensure the objective.
So after months and months of whining and complaining that Barr/Durham aren't leaking to him on his timetable, Sundance is defending Durham going totally silent. He now gets it that Durham can't leak without jeopardizing the mission. It's "critical" for a "purposefully tight group" to "go completely silent." It's "the only safe way."
You're giving Sundance far too much credit, methinks. This from his "A Funny Thing Happened on The Way To The Coffee Shop…" post last night. Item (3) below, he still is suggesting Barr's covering something up re Rosenstein and how egregious and sinister it is. This is what I was referring to in a previous comment.ReplyDelete
"There are three aspects to the McCabe memo that warrant attention: (1) Rosenstein’s willingness to wear a wire. (2) Evidence that Rosenstein took Mueller to the White House on May 16, 2017, as a set-up to interview Mueller’s pending target; and (3) the CURRENT redactions to the memo indicate CURRENT efforts by the CURRENT AG Bill Barr to protect the corrupt intent of Rod Rosenstein. While all three points are alarming; given recent events the last aspect is most concerning."
Childish. I want to see RR in jail as much as anyone.Delete
Amen. I do too! But if dealing with him (wild speculation on my part) helps nab the even bigger fish, I can live with it. If nothing, I think Rosensteain has ruined his reputation, except perhaps among ardent Deep Staters.Delete
Mark, I visit CTH now and then, and I noticed a marked change in SD. It's apparent he went to DC with all kinds of "proof" about something secret (he wouldn't reveal on his site w/o a PW) and then his attitude plummeted. He must have gotten blown-off.ReplyDelete
I don't go there much anymore.
Expect mutiny - or maybe just gross confusion - among the faithful who comment there.ReplyDelete
I thank you, Mark, for reading Sundance so I don't have to.ReplyDelete
I watched this today. While J Solomon can be painfully inarticulate, I did find the interview interesting.
As I have often asked (rhetorically) on this blog, Why?
Why did so many individuals of status, wealth, power and prestige risk it all in an unprecedented criminal conspiracy to bring down our government?
I don't think Solomon and Bruner definitively answer the big question but they certainly add more to the mosaic of dots which are slowly (and inevitably I believe) being connected.
The Trip to DC is strange...ReplyDelete
CTH is a mixed bag. There have had some really good insightful posts. I’ve been surprised at how good some of the posts are in connecting the dots on this attempted coup.
And, some of his readers are worth a damn, e.g. oldersoul, Wethal, and Hokkoda, esp. on legal etc. nuances of the Flynn case.Delete
Sundance lately reminds me of Roger Stone and his ilk. I.E. an outside observer of events that's trying to convince everyone that he has some sort of insider knowledge, that he's a player. Name dropping, cryptic remarks, talking about this major project that's about to drop and blow everything wide open as if he's plugged into the primary sources rather than just aggregating and analyzing publicly available research. One thing I can say for certain about him.... he is a consultant of some sort.ReplyDelete
My new blog article:ReplyDelete
Michael Gaeta and FBI Counterintelligence -- Part 3
I receive the CTH emails, sometimes there's some good linksReplyDelete
never trusted the site much, especially after the "trust Sessions" BS
I thought Sundance is a She.ReplyDelete
The plot thickens.
Most blogs are entertainment value/opinion.
You get what you pay for.
To Sundance's credit, she/he seems to do a lot of research and draws conclusions. I think we can all say without a doubt that the Mueller investigation is full of holes, shenanigans, and outright fraud. The information out there now is there is no doubt these assholes illegally spied on Trump and desperately tried to get rid of him. Unfortunately, as is the usual, no one will get in any serious trouble. That's just how things are rigged in DC. We're not in the club.
I do enjoy this blog so please keep up the good work.
Many sites claim sundance to be a Mark Bradman.Delete
