No Charges Against Darren Wilson. Again.

Fox News reporting:

In 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, St. Louis' top prosecutor announces no charges against Darren WilsonIn 2014 shooting of Michael Brown, St. Louis' top prosecutor announces no charges against Darren Wilson

You thought the Michael Brown thing was over and done with? Well, maybe it is, now.

A St. Louis County, Mo., prosecutor said Thursday that he will not be charging the White police officer who shot 18-year-old Michael Brown in 2014, after quietly reopening the investigation.
Civil rights leaders and Brown's mother reportedly hoped that Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell, who became the county’s first Black prosecutor in January 2019, might reopen the investigation into police officer Darren Wilson, who shot Brown six years ago.
Bell told reporters today that his decision was “one of the most difficult things I’ve had to do."
But after a five month investigation into the case’s evidence, witness statements and forensic reports, he came to the conclusion that “we cannot prove that he” committed murder or manslaughter.

The massive demonstrations that followed the shooting of Brown helped to solidify the Black Lives Matter movement in Ferguson, Mo., and around the country.
A federal investigation and a grand jury cleared Wilson of all charges months after Brown's death in 2014.

Bell didn’t face any backlash when he re-reviewed the investigation into Brown’s shooting because Wilson was never charged or tried, and there is no statute of limitations on murder charges.

Another way of putting might be, there's no White Lives Matter movement.

Witnesses said Brown, who was unarmed, had his hands up when he was shot, but federal investigators and the grand jury said the evidence showed otherwise.

Another way of putting that? The investigators and grand jury decided the evidence showed the "witnesses" were lying.

“Although this case represents one of the most significant moments in St. Louis’s history, the question for this office was a simple one: Could we prove beyond a reasonable doubt that when Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown he committed murder or manslaughter under Missouri law?” Mr. Bell said during a press conference Thursday.
“After an independent and in-depth review of the evidence, we cannot prove that he did.”
Bell noted that just because Wilson was not found guilty of murder or manslaughter, he had not been exonerated.
“There are so many points at which Darren Wilson could have handled the situation differently and if he had, Michael Brown might still be alive,” Bell told reporters.

No word on whether Michael Brown could have "handled the situation differently."

And yet, in a way, Michael Brown, the "gentle giant" who roughed up diminutiv Asia shop keepers, lives on. You can see it in the "peaceful protestors" holding up their hands--as they think Brown did. Fiction trumps facts in American politics. Just ask Obama.

  1. It will never be over. Like George Zimmerman -- and like everyone in Trump's family unless the coup participants are punished sufficiently to terrify their supporters -- Wilson will spend the rest of his life with a target on his back.

The fact that he is innocent doesn't matter: it makes him an even better example, to demonstrate that no one is safe from the traitors and their mobs of useful idiots.

    1. Nope, not unless this election is a blowout that changes the entire situation.

In other words no matter the evidence Wilson, Chauvin, et.al. can expect to be dragged back to the bar after every election until the DemoFa can do away with that those silly "reasonable doubt" and "double jeopardy" rules and get them before a proper Revolutionary Tribunal as they deserve.

  3. Damnit, they want somebody to blame for Brown's actions. Anybody but Brown himself. Any cracka will do.

  4. Some of us followed this almost minute to minute at CTH (as we’d done with the Trayvon/Zimmerman debacle) as Sundance was not only reporting, but more importantly investigating what was happening as it unfolded, including timelines and marked up photos to illustrate what had happened. It was so clear that Brown was a bad boy scofflaw, cruising for an encounter with LE. Radical black activist/organizer DeRay McKesson and his laptop - along with some lying “witnesses” and the rabid Brown “parents” - turned Brown into a hero and Ferguson, MO, into an inferno. And set the stage for the sort of thing that is going on now. McKesson went on to do the same with Freddy Gray in Baltimore and is probably still at it…

Wilson did absolutely nothing wrong. That this is still dragging on is a travesty.

  5. The "hands up, don't shoot" canard was perpetrated by Michael Brown's partner-in-crime, Dorian Johnson, who was present during the altercation at the Ferguson Market and was walking down the middle of the street with Brown when they were called out by Officer Wilson.

Even Obama's Wingman couldn't get a grand jury to believe it, which is pretty remarkable given the old "ham sandwich" maxim.

I hope Officer Wilson has changed his name, had plastic surgery, moved far away from Ferguson and has found a new and happier life. He deserves our prayers and best wishes, not this constant harassment. I hope this is finally the end of it for everyone's sake.

  6. I forgot to mention that the only reason Dorian Johnson didn't get away with his "hands up, don't shoot" lie in court was because he was contradicted by a slew of responsible, civic-minded black eyewitnesses, whose testimony could not be shaken by Holder and his minions or two St. Louis County DAs, McCullough and Bell.

Unfortunately, the rabid press only publicized the lie because it fit their preferred narrative of "predatory" white police picking on "innocent" black "children", despite the fact that the "innocent" black "child" in this case, had attempted to steal the cop's gun and shoot him with it - a fact that was ignored as inconvenient by the race-baiting press and Brown's parents who got rich on the lie.
