Non Compos Abroad

By now you've all seen the embarrassing videos from the G-7. The first features an obviously mentally lost Zhou having to be, um, fetched by his keeper Jill. The other shows a slow Zhou bringing up the rear of the fatuous G-7 participants, shuffling along. (By the way, did anyone else notice the pixie looking outfit Justin has on?) Monica Showalter discusses them in a brief post and captures most of it:

The first video shows him wandering into a cafeteria for the public instead of the special accommodations reserved for the G-7 leaders. Notice that the crowd guffaws as someone throws out a flip question, which he has to ask her to repeat. When he gives a dullard's answer, the laughter roars harder. It's an obvious mockery of a lost old fool looking for the buffet table at the senior citizens' home, or maybe the right bingo hall on a Thursday. Nobody applauds Biden's entry as if he were there to see him, nor do they indicate terror and awe or basic respect for the leader of the free world. Nope, for them, he was "just trying to get some ranch." Or perhaps they were when he obviously wandered in, not knowing what day it was or where he was at. After futzing about looking as lost as he probably is, caretaker Jill Biden strides in and leads doddering forgetful old grandpa, who couldn't read his brief about where the lunchroom was, away, taking him by the hand.

I'd been wondering how Zhou got to be where he wound up. The explanation that he went to the wrong cafeteria makes perfect sense in context. Anyone who has experience with people who are slipping into dementia knows that they tend to fixate, especially, on their meal times. Most likely while the other participants briefly milled about before lunch, chatting, Zhou was totally focused on getting to the trough--all he could think of was that it was feeding time. Keeper Jill probably momentarily lost track of Zhou while chatting up Justin in his bizarre, adolescent looking outfit, then had to rush off in search of her charge.

One thing to notice. Showalter states that the people in the cafeteria guffaw the second time at his "dullard's answer" to the "flip question" directed to Zhou by a diner who pretty obviously realized that Zhou was lost. Actually, that second guffaw--and it was a real guffaw--came when Keeper Jill rushed in with both hands outstretched to retrieve Zhou. The guffaw began when she addressed Zhou with a brisk "C'mon!"--as if she were speaking to a child--grasped his hand in both of hers, and led him away.

With regard to the second video, the photo op with the Queen, Zhou's shuffling gait was on display--he seems little more mobile than the much older Elizabeth. What struck me about Zhou as he trailed away at the rear of the group--one of the others appearing to stay with him lest he be lost again--was the way his arms hung limply at his side, rather than swinging a bit. Taken together with the shuffling gait, the impression can only be described as doddering.

And so on to confront Putin. Not gonna back down. Always providing that he remembers where he is and with whom he's speaking. Pathetic.

  1. I'd half expect for Joe to address Putin as Gorbachev and reference Russia as the USSR with some 1980s era Senate action.

  2. With all the missteps and unflattering images already appearing so early in Biden's first overseas trip, it begs the question of how 'Dr.' Jill and his handlers thought they could pull this off. If anything, without the protection of the American press cheerleaders, we're witnessing a man who is not cogent of his surroundings while appearing mentally and physically feeble.

Missing the G7 would be difficult to explain away - but hey, he dissed the joint address to congress by two months and got away with it. And sending 'The Bomb' Harris had to be a non-starter as witnessed with her embarrassing Central America excursion.

  3. How long can they keep up this charade?

Putin’s going to eat his lunch.

  4. This write-up of Joe's mental deficit at G7 has given me an epiphany on the real reason why Jill accompanied Joe to the conference:

A spouse can do things in public that won't create a news event the way they would if a staffer did the same things. Example: Jill goes after Joe after he wanders off into the public cafeteria, says: "C'mon!" and grabs him by both hands and leads him back to the private dining area reserved for heads of state.

Now imagine the media reaction if a staffer did the same thing to Joe.

When Joe's wife does it, it's "cute." If a staffer did those same things, we'd know we've entered the 25th Amendment Zone.

Jill Biden is there as Joe's family member caregiver, because his handlers have realized that Joe can't function well enough to respond adequately and promptly enough to verbal instructions from staffers, so she's the one keeping him alert, and dragging back to where he belongs when he wanders off on his own, oblivious to where he's supposed to be.

She's the fig-leaf that allows the MSM to continue to pretend Joe is mentally fit, despite the growing body of evidence to the contrary.

    1. EZ, the spouses have traditionally accompanied their husbands/wives to the G-whatever converences. They are usually off doing cultural things while their spouses are on their own.

    2. My prediction: if my hypothesis is correct, is Joe's wife will accompany him on virtually all foreign trips, to perform these face-saving actions Joe's staffer's can't get away with without causing a major scandal.

    3. @ EZ

Future foreign trips? Do you really think they oligarchs will let the patient out of the asylum after this?

    4. It's out that there will NOT be a joint presser with Putin.

  5. The G7 leaders know that Xiden is non-functional as a President and is at best a figurehead. That said, one would think they might give him some degree of deference just on the basis of his role being symbolic / representative.

They apparently neither fear nor respect Xiden; and perhaps the U.S. generally. Or is it that they know who is really running things and therefore know there is no need to play along with the farce and waste time with Xiden? Also, I wonder how knowing (and likely having proof) that he was elected fraudulently affects their attitude toward him?

  6. I could not find links to the videos Monica writes about. ???

As for Jill the Caretaker, she will be leaving at the end of the UK part of the trip. He will go on without a family member unless something is planned that has not been publicized. He looks so pathetic at the G7 that I almost feel sorry for him, though I have loathed him for decades. He should be back in Delaware with his dogs and a mug of hot chocolate...

    1. No sympathy.
He plainly has enough lucidity to know what's going on enough of the time... he has chosen his disgrace.

  7. Just going to say the first video will not be seen as anything bad by his supporters. The laughs appear to me to be more supportive than anything else. Supportive in the old jokes of wives running things, but this crowd appears to not be dismissive at all.

    Where’s the Secret Service?

And, yes, this is bad, but it will mostly not be seen that way.

    1. My father in law did this and it was sad and sweet. The President of the United States of America doing this and it’s dangerous for our country.

  8. Of course, Biden does not dare converse with Putin, live, during the post-summit "press conference." Doing so would reveal the extent of Biden's senility. Hope Putin grills Biden about his role in the 2014 Maidan coup in Ukraine and Biden's recent escalation of the U.S. proxy war with Russia that was ignited through that illegal coup.

  9. I'm familiar with leading old men by the hand. My father died of Alzheimer's when he forgot how to breath.

The White House knows the truth as they push this charade. The Pentagon branch of the Democratic Party knows the truth as they purge the military of troops who won't kill Americans. The Dept of [In]Justice branch of the Democratic Party know the truth as they hunt down Enemies of the Party. This will not end well.

Putin has been held in place for years. The question is not will the meeting with Vlad be bad. The question is how bad.
