"A Grevious Violation Of Trust"

That's what Fred Fleitz calls the Dem "gossipblower" hoax. And of course he's right. Here's his twitter thread on the subject, nicely unrolled. It repays a close reading:

@FredFleitz

1/ As a former CIA analyst and former NSC official who edited transcripts of POTUS phone calls with foreign leaders, here are my thoughts on the whistleblower complaint which was just released. . .

2/ This is not an intelligence matter. It is a policy matter and a complaint about differences over policy. Presidential phone calls are not an intelligence concern. The fact that IC officers transcribe these calls does not give the IC IG jusrisdiction over these calls.

3/ It appears that rules restricting access and knowledge of these sensitive calls was breached. This official was not on this call, not on the approved dissem list and should not have been briefed on the call.

.3/ The way this complaint was written suggested the author had a lot of help. I know from my work on the House Intel Commitee staff that many whistleblowers go directly to the intel oversight committees. Did this whistleblower first meet with House Intel committee members?

.4/ It is therefore important that Congress find out where this complaint came from. What did House and Senate intel committee dem members and staff know about it and when? Did they help orchestrate this complaint?

5/ My view is that this whistleblower complaint is too convenient and too perfect to come from a typical whistleblower. Were other IC officers involved? Where outside groups opposed to the president involved?

6/ This complaint will further damage IC relations with the White House for many years to come because IC officers appear to be politicizing presidential phone calls with foreign officials and their access to the president and his activities in the White House.

7/ Worst of all, this IC officer -- and probably others -- have blatantly crossed the line into policy. This violates a core responsibility of IC officers is to inform, but not make policy.

8/ This is such a grevious violation of trust between the IC and the White House that it would not surprise me if IC officers are barred from all access to POTUS phone calls with foreign officials.

  1. The un-American, anti-American Left continues to demonstrate its disdain and disregard for this nation's founding tenets, conventions and laws, all while wrapping themselves in the flag and spouting phony rhetoric about the contrived damage the duly elected president is supposedly wreaking. Their overplayed screeching about "our democracy" is transparent cover. It's their failed rigging of the election, and the continuing exposure of their socialist designs and ongoing conspiracies, that is driving them over the edge. The obvious truth is that it's the democrats who are proving to represent the greatest domestic danger to this nation and "our" democracy.

    1. Their disdain for the nation, in fact. It's about power, pure and simple.

  2. I have a hunch its about fear now, too.

That's the sense I get with, for example, Brennan, Nadler and Schiff who are lying their asses off.

The Mewler Report proved they've all been lying and covering up. How many of them even have a real job these days to pay their legal fees? The Covingtons and Burlings ain't cheap, Michael Flynn found out. Zydney Powell's discovery request on Flynn's behalf is impossible for them to honor. Box canyon. McCabe will be indicted soon and one of Durham's boys will be playing Andrew Weissman games with him. Will that be sweet or what? The IG's FISA report is coming. How many criminal referrals in there? And we've got Durham still to come and declassification, too. The cat's out of the bag on Biden. The Ukraine story is boomeranging. It will bring Biden down, which is getting pretty close to the lizard brain itself.

It could get very bad for these guys.

    1. My fondest hope. As I remarked elsewhere, in an impeachment trial there would be a distinct possibility of Schiff and Nadler being called as witnesses and grilled re some of their dishonest shenanigans, including the composition of this Ukraine memo. Under oath.

  3. I was feeling pretty stressed earlier today regarding this situation but reading these posts has buoyed my spirits.

But again, we need a clear-cut win in November of 2020. I hope enough independents and sane Democrats are appalled about this.

    1. 2020 is key. As long as the Dems hold the House nothing constructive can get done.

  4. I sure hope that Cassander's hunch is right about the fear. They sure have a lot to fear if we can get this all out in the open. This really feels high stakes to me. Of course not all Americans are plugged into this like we are but I hope that they're paying attention.

Obama said that he would fundamentally change this country and we're going to find out if he succeeded or fell short. I'm still hopeful on most days.

    1. I'm sure that if Barr exposes (declassifies) activities of the Obama gang then Democrat Media will scream non-stop that Barr has prejudiced the public against the Obama patriots and no fair trials are possible. So I don't want to see public exposes. I want indictments and trials.
