Briefly Noted: Epstein Goes Viral, International

The press in both the UK and Israel are picking up on the Jeffrey Epstein case. In the UK the focus is on the Royal Family, and especially "Prince" Andrew--or "Andy" to Jeffrey.

In Israel the case is perhaps more serious. The Jerusalem Post and Times of Israel have been all over the story. Former prime minister Ehud Barak has been closely tied to Epstein:

Barak, 77, served as prime minister from 1999 to 2001. This month he formed a new party to run for prime minister against Netanyahu, who called for new elections in September. Once political allies, Barak and Netanyahu have been sparring on social media, with Netanyahu producing a video raising Barak’s relationship to the multimillionaire New York financier, and Ohio billionaire Les Wexner, who has given money to Barak, the Times of Israel reported.
Barak was a close friend and business partner with Epstein for years. Now some of those business partnerships are being scrutinized amid questions about Barak’s own source of wealth

  1. Mr. Wauck,

I was busy with other stuff starting on Thursday and didn’t have time to read your posts; I just briefly skimmed them and finally got caught up yesterday reading all your entries. You were burning up the keyboard.

I’m rolling several of my thoughts on your posts into one comment for the sake of both of us and our time, not having to revisit older posts and the comments section.

First, congratulations on the new grandson and his baptism. Maybe around his First Holy Communion, we can expect charges in the Russiagate Hoax? Or at confirmation? Or at his marriage? Just kidding, of course.

I hope that Dan Coats will be replaced. He is an obstructionist, more concerned with appearance, sources and methods, than exposing the wrongdoing that occurred. And please, Mr. President, don’t appoint Sue Gordon to take his place. She’s another liberal and a Deep Stater.

I’m thoroughly enjoying the Pelosi and Cortez spat. If she weren’t so awful, I’d have some sympathy for Pelosi. But since she is, she’s getting what she deserves. Let Cortez lead the Dems over the ledge; that is fine with me.

Forbes mentioned the MSM attempting to tie Epstein to the President. It’s more evidence that they realize what a threat he is and that he stands a good chance at reelection. The media, Dems and Mueller group are all like the boy who cried wolf. I suspect the public is tuning them out at this point.

Speaking of Mueller, I enjoyed seeing Bobby Bob get a little comeuppance courtesy of Judge Friedrich. I’m looking forward to his testimony and, like others, wonder if it will ever happen.

The election of DJT, as you noted, has brought more winning with the 9th Circuit. Just think what a second term of presidential appointments to the judiciary would mean for conservatives. I’d love to see Amy Coney Barrett replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Maybe Justice Breyer would find that he can’t hold on for another five years and would retire, too. Who’d of thought that DJT would be such a pro-life champion? I love it.

I’m not sure if you have ever heard of VIPS, Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. I think that you’ve mentioned or linked to Consortium News, which has a connection to VIPS. VIPS was founded by Ray McGovern. One of their members took Jim Clapper to the woodshed when Jimmy Boy appeared at some establishment think-tank forum a while back. He had Jimmy Boy squirming a little.

Anyway, I don’t completely hold with McGovern. He’s got some liberal views on women and the Church. But I appreciate VIPS holding the Deep State's feet to the fire.

    1. Re AOC and Pelosi: Dem Internal Poll: Ocasio-Cortez Becoming The Party’s “Definitional Face” In The Heartland

Re Forbes re Epstein being tied to Barr. It turns out that the claim that Barr's father hired Epstein is probably not true. The perceived need to smear Barr, however, is a complement. Shows how dangerous liberals view him as.

  2. I saw the Dem poll regarding Cortez. Bright blue districts won't suffer on account of her. Bit I think that she will not help in swing districts. The Dems did real well in swing districts in 2018. I don't think that their landscape will be quite as accommodating in 2020.

  3. Media/Establishment melt down because DJT criticized some wacko congresswomen. Just like there are two standards of prosecution for the privileged and everyone else, there are two sets of rules for free speech.

It's okay to take shots at conservatives, Christians and white males. I don't think there was anything wrong with what the President said. Spare me the tears.

  4. The race card nonsense plays into his hands/plans, IMO.

    1. Of course, the genius of what Trump just did is that he locked the Dems into embracing and defending AOC and Omar just at the point when the Dems were trying to free themselves from that embrace.
