ZeroHedge is republishing an interesting piece from Off-Guardian. The idea is that our Globalist masters, having succeeded with the Covid lockdown--confirmed to their satisfaction that the public can be gaslighted into compliance with almost any restrictions on freedom--are now considering rebranding the Covid lockdown as a Climate lockdown:
What would a climate lockdown look like? The author quotes from an article written by a WHO employee, Avoiding a climate lockdown:
Under a “climate lockdown,” governments would limit private-vehicle use, ban consumption of red meat, and impose extreme energy-saving measures, while fossil-fuel companies would have to stop drilling.
Wait--haven't I heard all that before? Isn't that thinking at the bottom of most of the Zhou regime's policies--some already implemented? Isn't that what the G-7 were running on about for the last few days? Yes, it is. And didn't BoJo the conservative just extend the UK lockdown? Yes, he did. Establishment politicos love lockdowns.
All that is being presented in the article as ways to avoid a climate lockdown--it's the carrot we'll be required to eat to avoid the stick of a lockdown.
Maybe the author is just a nobody, speculating on a climate change pie in the sky agenda? Not so much. This is who the backers of this are:
The report, titled “Avoiding a climate lockdown”, was written by Mariana Mazzucato, a professor of economics at University College London, and head of something called the Council on the Economics of Health for All, a division of the World Health Organization.
It was first published in October 2020 by Project Syndicate, a non-profit media organization that is (predictably) funded through grants from the Open society Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and many, many others.
After that, it was picked up and republished by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), which describes itself as “a global, CEO-led organization of over 200 leading businesses working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world.”.
The WBCSD’s membership is essentially every major company in the world, including Chevron, BP, Bayer, Walmart, Google and Microsoft. Over 200 members totalling well over 8 TRILLION dollars in annual revenue.
In short: an economist who works for the WHO has written a report concerning “climate lockdowns”, which has been published by both a Gates+Soros backed NGO AND a group representing almost every bank, oil company and tech giant on the planet.
Whatever it says, it clearly has the approval of the people who run the world.
Basically, this is all about power and utopian manipulation--playing God. There's little to no actual science behind any of it, as we've seen for years of one fomented panic after another. This is their religion--and they're the demi-gods:
So, the “climate lockdown” is a mix of dystopian social control, and impractical nonsense likely designed to sell an agenda. But don’t worry, we don’t have to do this. There is a way to avoid these extreme measures, the author says so:
To avoid such a scenario, we must overhaul our economic structures and do capitalism differently […] Addressing this triple crisis requires reorienting corporate governance, finance, policy, and energy systems toward a green economic transformation […] Far more is needed to achieve a green and sustainable recovery […] we want to transform the future of work, transit, and energy use.
“Overhaul”? “reorienting”? “transformation”?
Fundamental transformation--where have we heard that before? And--weird thing--there's no mention in that of a role for small business. Just Big corps, big finance, big energy. And of course Big Pharma is in that mix--very much so. You can't talk about social control without Big Pharma to back up the failures of Big Tech. Wow, it's almost as if the Covid Panic ...
Seems like we’re looking at a new-built society. A “reset”, if you will, and given the desired scope, you could even call it a “great reset”, I suppose.
…they just want a massive wholesale “transformation” of our social, financial, governmental and energy sectors.
They want you to own nothing and be happy. Or else.
That's what Klaus Schwab assures us: You'll own nothing but you'll be happy.
And Donald J. Trump was standing in their way.
UPDATE 1: This whole business of a Great Reset is a mixed bag--or so it seems to me. What I mean is, while there's no question of the potential for harm, I continue to believe that normals will at some point react and say, No!
Steve Hayward approaches this issue from the standpoint of Energy Realities. It's worth at least glancing through his post--depending on your level of interest in energy--to see how out of touch with the real world these ideologues are. What he does is provide an intro and a concluding line and sandwich in between them a series of links regarding news about energy in the real world. That news shows that renewables are making no real progress in market share (despite falling prices) and that coal is holding its own. More than holding its own, coal seems to be thriving:
Like Joe Biden, I didn’t pay attention to the G-7 meeting. (Heh.) Who needed to follow it when you knew that its chief product would be the brave declaration that we’ll all be “carbon-neutral” by 2050. The only thing missing was one of these clowns holding up the piece of paper saying, “I give you [climate] peace in our time.”
Let’s check in on some actual energy news:
