UPDATED: John Ratcliffe Goes NUCLEAR!

Sullivan and Gleeson aren't news and they're not even comedy any more.

OTOH, this is NEWS, via Sean Davis. Handwritten notes of John Brennan--Brennan briefed Obama on Russia's knowledge that Hillary was cooking up a Russia Hoax against Trump! Obama and "other senior intelligence officials." Let's see. Jim Comey, Strzok, Clapper, Susie Rice, and ... who else?

Hey, looks like the Russians knew a thing or two--in any event, they turned out to be right, and the Russia Hoax turned out to be ... a hoax!

BREAKING: On July 26, 2016, U.S. intel authorities learned that Russian intel knew of Hillary Clinton's plans to cook up a scandal alleging that Trump was working with Russia. Obama was personally briefed on Russia's knowledge of Clinton's plans.

For ease of reading:

What would really be news would be if the US "Fake News" media, the MSM, covered this.

Hot question: Who knew about this, and when did they know it. That would define the Big Picture Conspiracy.

I guess we know now why Flynn had to go, and why Team Mueller had to happen, and why Trump was an existential threat to the Deep State. Fake Impeachment, it all falls into place.

UPDATE 1: Oh, man! I can't believe how slow on the uptake I've been. If Obama was briefed on this, along with "other senior intelligence officials," wouldn't Joe Biden have also been briefed in?

Quick, remind me--is there a debate tonight?

UPDATE 2: Sean Davis and Mollie Hemingway have a pretty thorough--thorough to this point--write-up on all this here: BREAKING: Russia Believed Clinton Was Planning Anti-Trump Collusion Campaign In 2016, And U.S. Officials Knew It.

As a former federal bureaucrat who worked for many years in the counterintelligence field, this raises disturbing questions. For example.

If the Russians knew this about Hillary, wouldn't that constitute "kompromat"? Wouldn't Hillary be compromised and therefore subject to blackmail by the Russians, who could reveal her dastardly plot? And yet disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok has a book out claiming--on purely speculative and farfetched grounds--that Trump was subject to blackmail.

Even more disturbing. If Igor Danchenko, Steele's supposed source, was a Russian agent--as the FBI is on record as believing--wouldn't that mean that, since he provided false information against Trump at the behest of a paid Clinton operative, that Hillary and the FBI were in collusion with the Russian intelligence services against the elected President of the United States? Because, after all, Hillary didn't fess up after the election, although she could have and should have. Even worse, it would then appear that the FBI continued to collude with the Russian intelligence services against Trump--since they continued to use the hoax information provided by the Russian agent Danchenko to renew the Carter Page FISA and to launch the Team Mueller witchhunt that eventually led to the fake impeachment.

Think about that.

Disgraced former FBI Director Comey is scheduled to testify before the Senate. Could be interesting. I'd say he's wedged himself into a pretty tight spot.

Seems a pretty obvious case of sedition, n’est pas?

    1. Sedition? No. Sedition requires threats of violent overthrow. Nothing is that easy in American law.

    2. Ach so. What violations of the law then could be involved?

    3. Since we now know Hillary colluded with the Russians, she is the one who committed treason. After all when the liars said Trump had done the same thing they called him a traitor.

  3. I don't know what is the hard evidence? The way things are covered, it will be assumed that Ratcliff made it all up.

On the other hand, given that the emails only confirm things we already assumed, that Bernie got rolled, for instance. Coupled with the fact that there were hardly any HRC personal emails, I have long thought the whole thing could have been a DNC inside job.

  4. Great debate fodder. Catch the old goat Biden offguard with a comment about something that is too fresh to have been loaded into his brain chip, ear mic or written on his palm….

    1. The debate has begun. It appears that Biden is referring to something on his lectern as he responds.

    2. As there's only so much that I can stand of Wallace,
I likely missed some things, but I heard DJT refer only *once* to today's Ratcliffe news, and then obliquely (as if viewers only needed to be reminded of stuff they already knew well).
I'm quite sad, that DJT interrupted so much, but failed to hammer Biden, on the monstrosity that the Obama/ Biden Admin. was.

Ari Fleischer on Fox just stressed my point, on *the incessant* interruptions, as being bad for the country.
He urged DJT to dial it down a notch or two next time.
I'd urge DJT, to limit the *wordy* interruptions to the most crucial points.
Otherwise, he should keep them to “False… false… false… false.”
Perino on Fox tonite made a point, that at times DJT was interrupting Biden, when the latter seemed poised to fumble one yard from Paydirt.

    3. Ari’s strategy for Trump was that if he got a hard question in at Biden, he should let Biden flail around as he didn’t want to answer it, then PDJT could point out that Biden did not/could not respond.

Ari was all for Trump’s attacking Biden. He just believed he shouldn’t interrupt again when Biden is “flailing”. Should allow that to be seen by viewers.

So eager (and probably so angry) PDJT stepped into what could have been some very revealing times in the debate.

      Delete
    4. Yeah Bebe, that was Ari's point.
Kurtz at NRO made the same point vividly:
"A couple of times it seemed as though, the president’s interruptions actually saved Biden, from what was beginning to devolve into word salad."

    1. Well, he did, and the media and the pearl-clutching Pubbies are clucking… Too combative. He scored so many points, dropped so many goodies on Biden (Hunter alone took good hits), that anyone really paying attention could have separated the wheat from the chaff. Wallace did his best to fend off PDJT on Biden’s behalf. Shamefully obvious.

Those giving PDJT kudos also liked his managing to get Biden to separate himself from the far left causes (think AOC et al).

  7. How come Obama hasn’t shared this earlier? We’d all have found better things to do with our valuable time.

  8. Trump obviously has known about this for some time--nothing is "classified" for presidential eyes. So I am sure the timing of this information being disclosed today was by design. As was Graham's hearings starting tomorrow.

So if the heads of the Obama admin know, did the FBI leadership or DOJ ever hear of this? That would be one hell of a reason to want to review all communications between Brennan and Comey. Knowledge of Clinton involvement in this went straight to the top, so it only makes sense to wonder how much percolated through the ranks of of the entire Obama admin. I am sure Comey will be asked about this under oath in front of Congress tomorrow. We'll see if he answers or pleads the fifth.

  9. Either Gutfeld or Watters mentioned this a few minutes ago on the The Five, saying Trump was likely briefed on this. Juan Williams pooh-poohed this, as expected, as unprovable. Well, this latest Ratcliffe letter throws cold water on that. And you know there is more coming down the tracks.

The real October surprises rest with Trump and his allies. All the left can come up with are the same wash and dry charges they hung on the line last election...

  11. My theory all along (not to beat my drum) has been that Glenn Simpson/FusionGPS sold the DNC/Clinton campaign on the idea of planting news stories based on confidential, anonymous sources from the intelligence & security services. FusionGPS was a known dirty tricks/smear shop, with Dem partisan interests.

Chris Steele was approved as a "source" by the FBI in February 2016 (Lee Smith book). It then becomes a daisy-chain of a self-confirming "narrative" reinforced between Dem media, Dem politicians, and the Deep State.

A story that only needed confirmation because everybody believed it was true.

Show me the man, I'll show you the crime.

  12. Can I take credit for defending Lindsey! and maintaining that he was "coordinating" with Barr? He's taken a lot of crap, but deserves credit for being a team player. Or so it seems to me. Call that small credit, but it does count.

  15. This is so weird, and I'd like us all to take a minute to appreciate for how this upends so many of the theories we've all posted here over the last couple years.

Why would Brennan brief Obama on the Clinton campaign's Russia Hoax if they were in on it from the get go? There's another interesting point I saw on twitter that 26 July 2016, when HRC launched this smear campaign, was the date Downer purportedly shared with the London embassy his PapaD convo that became the pretext for Crossfire Hurricane.

Is it possible that this entire operation really was DNC and FBI driven, and the CIA--even Brennan--didn't actually know what was going on? At least not until after launch and the op had reached steady state?

CIA might actually have spent most of this time as bystanders as opposed to drivers, which is certainly what I thought, and thought most all of the commentariat here thought?

    1. Perhaps Brennan is telling Obama “Can you imagine what we can do with this info to destroy Trump”? And then off to the races-London,
informants, etc. Maybe London provided the intel? My cynicism re Brennan runs pretty deep.

    2. "Why would Brennan brief Obama on the Clinton campaign's Russia Hoax if they were in on it from the get go?"

But is that what he did? Or did he privately inform Obama that the Russians might be aware of the hoaxcapade?

I'm still putting my money on a small group conspiracy operated by Comey, Clapper and Brennan and begun as early as 2015 and orchestrated (with deniability build-ins) by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

  19. One would assume Brennan's notes from July 26th regarding HRC's plans led him to then implement the IC inter-agency task force soon thereafter? Also, then the "gang of 8" briefings in August 2016. Going back to the Towergate Timeline it shows some interesting things back then:

July 22, 2016 - Wikileaks releases the DNC emails showing Clinton/DNC/Media collusion to undermine Bernie Sanders campaign.

July 24, 2016 - Robby Mook (HRC campaign chair) claims Russia hacked the DNC to help Trump.

July 25, 2016 - FBI announces it will investigate the DNC hack but does not get the DNC server. Peter Strzok leads the investigation. Eventually, the chain of custody would be lost on the server.

July 25, 2016 - Strozk suggests to Page in a text that they need to set up a dinner with Judge Contreras. Later, Strzok would tell IG Horowitz that the dinner never happened and that it had nothing to do with any case he was working on.

July 31, 2016 - The FBI opens a counter intelligence operation into collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. Operation Crossfire Hurricane begins. The FBI would use the "intelligence" from the Papadopolous and Downer meeting as the reason for beginning the investigation.

August 1st & 2nd, 2016 - McCabe, Strzok, Page, and two other agents fly to London to meet with former Australian ambassador and spy, and friend of the Clinton's, Alexander Downer at the Australian embassy. The Daily Mail suggests that Papadopoulos was discussed at the meeting.

August 3, 2016 - CIA Director John Brennan briefs Harry Reid and others on the Gang of Eight committee, individually, on the Trump Russia collusion theory.

August 4, 2016 - John Brennan speaks with the head of Russian intelligence about election meddling. The Russian spy chief denies the accusation. Brennan later states that Russia recruits people to further their agenda, whether that person is aware of it or not.

August 8, 2016 - Strzok tells Page in a text message that "Trump will not be President" and "They will stop him". Later, Strzok would tell IG Horowitz that he was only trying to "reassure" Page and that stopping Trump was not meant to be taken literally.

August 10, 2016 - Washington Post reports that Brennan may have shared Dossier with Obama.

August 15, 2016 - Strzok texts Page about needing an insurance policy in case Trump wins.

August 15, 2016 - Strzok and Page discuss evading rules and preserving conversations.

August 25, 2016 - CIA Director Brennan has secret phone call with Harry Reid about Trump Russia collusion. Reid fires off letter to FBI Director Comey two days later.

September 1, 2016 - Stefan Halper meets with "unnamed Trump campaign official".

September 1, 2016 - Halper meets with Sam Clovis in Washington DC to discuss foreign policy....uses association with Carter Page as an introduction.

September 2, 2016 - Page texts Strzok to tell him that "Obama wants to know everything we're doing".

September 3, 2016 - Stefan Halper sends an email to Papadopolous offering him $3000. to come to London and write a paper on oil and gas issues in the Mediterranean. Paps accepts.

September 3, 2016 - FBI seizes Weiner laptop.

September 5, 2016 - HRC accuses Russia of interfering in the election.
