Indictments Next Week?

I don't like to go with unsourced assertions, so I've resisted these claims for the past week or so. However, Shipwreckedcrew presumably has very good sources to go this far out on a limb:

We shall see. If so it'll be one helluva news cycle. Oh--he doesn't say so, but I assume he's talking about Durham.

UPDATE: SWC does some CYA:

This is getting a lot of traction so lets not let it linger without further exposition.  My view is based on events, not inside info.  Dannehy's resignation suggests Durham's probe is shifting away from investigation towards the Courtroom.

The abject panic from Dems in Congress subject to being exposed for having been behind-the-scenes participants as leakers and enablers is instructive.  The idiotic letters to the IG is inexplicable unless there is a serious rumor floating around behind the scenes.

The public disclosure of potentially criminal conduct by members of the SCO only comes to light if the AG and DOJ are not concerned about that public disclosure.  And the unhinged nature of Weissman's attacks on Barr and Durham, all suggest extreme nervousness.

The suggestion that there is a "report" in the works means Barr might be relying on DOJ policy that authorizes release of information to "reassure" the public that DOJ is investigating matters of public interest, AND that DOJ is investigating past misconduct by DOJ officials.

"This is getting a lot of traction?" Well, no sh*t!

"My view is based on events, not inside info." And the problem with having said that right up front would have been ...?

I think we can all agree there's a high degree of panic among Dems, and that panic is reflected in public statements, letters and tweets. Next week?

Working against "next week" is the scheduling of Senate testimony for key figures.

We'll see.

  1. Him and Adam Housley. They have both been pretty solid on their reports. If it starts with a couple of the twitteratti, we should see some signs soon of pending announcements.

  2. It is interesting to see Adam Housley, whom I remember standing on a balcony in Florida in driving rain and wind, as he reported on a dreadful hurricane. He distinguished himself as a reporter in Los Angeles and then on the international scene. His become fed up with Fox News’s obsession with Trump liberated him to do what he is doing now. One of those rare interesting people you’d really like to meet...

  3. SWC has now expanded on his prognostication, indicating it is the result of circumstantial evidence, not "inside sources."

Of course, if I had inside sources, I'd say that too, to protect them.

  5. Well, AG Barr mentioned back in the spring or early summer that a big reveal would happen at the end of summer. Or was it end of summer, early fall. Anyway, the fall equinox is Tuesday the 22nd, so my hunch is AG Barr will do the data dump this week while the crazed MSM is still totally absorbed with the new vacancy on the SCOTUS and Trump's nominee to fill it - which would be convenient for them as more than one shiny object is too much for them to chase...

Seeing as yesterday was supposed to be Durham Day, I must say, that this is really getting discouraging.
If we see no Fireworks by when the Debate starts, it'll be ever harder to dispute the cynics, who charge that this whole Durham etc. thing was a head-fake.

  6. Adam Housely is using the nomenclature "Eyewash" now kinda regularly in his tweets. He says we're going to here this more frequently...

    One of his recent tweets:

"Eyewash....an example...officially in an email this was being planned and done. Unofficially in a phone call, this is what really happened and many times was the exact opposite."

Many comments/replies to this tweet speculate on Susan Rice's but cover "by the book" email to self.

Another reference the 2016 Clinton and Weiner laptop email issues where an FBI agent uses the term "eyewash" in his statement:

“Most of the emails were never examined, even though they made up potentially 10 times the evidence” of what was reviewed in the original year-long case that Comey closed in July 2016, said a law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the investigation.

It gets worse. They actively covered up for Clinton as well:

If the FBI “soft-pedaled” the original investigation of Clinton’s emails, as some critics have said, it out-and-out suppressed the follow-up probe related to the laptop, sources for this article said.

“There was no real investigation and no real search,” said Michael Biasello, a 27-year veteran of the FBI. “It was all just show — eyewash — to make it look like there was an investigation before the election.”

Perhaps what Lindsey Graham was referencing in the coming 10-12 days could be related to indictments relative to the email server / laptop crimes?

I dunno, but it's fun speculating and it keeps Mark on his toes.

  7. Undercover Huber replied to Housely saying "hearing the same thing". Housely retweeted one of the responses saying his tweet should have read 'Barr'ing.

With all the uptick in chatter over Hillary email, what if Barr-ing any curveballs refers to obstruction of justice regarding stonewalling the discovery of Clinton's emails on the Weiner laptop?

That would certainly be an unexpected curveball brought to us by Barr, wouldn't it? It's many of the same players as the Russia hoax, and we're just learning about the whistleblower sending email-to-self in order to preserve evidence of his discovery. This was a den of criminals in the DOJ, so they only need to unravel one crime to get the whole ball of wax and get people to turn.

  8. Lyndsey Graham telegraphed that there would be a significant development in Durham's investigation later this week (he made reference to a big reveal occurring in about 10 to 12 days).

Best guess is that Durham's office will release an abridged interim status report on a few specific findings of fact, e.g. that Crossfire Hurricane lacked adequate predication, all 4 FISA applications were legally deficient, and all DOJ prosecutive actions stemming from that genesis are now compromised.

Aside from the accountability consequences that will likely come later, this alone will create a firestorm of problems for DOJ/FBI in terms of remedial investigation, reporting, and impact on SCO prosecutions, convictions, and sentencing. A subpart of DOJ under the Obama Administration will be revealed as operating as a de facto criminal enterprise. That is no trivial thing to admit.

    1. Poor Lindsey. He has “telegraphed” so much over time, and usually with his signature “stay tuned”, that no one pays any attention to him. Most of us prefer to wait for verification from a more reliable source.

  10. How about this THIS week - from John Solomon:

The GOP-led Senate Finance and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs committees plan to release a joint report as early as this week disclosing the results of a year-long probe into Joe Biden's stewardship of Ukraine anti-corruption policy while his son earned big money as a board member at the corruption-plagued Burisma Holdings gas firm.

The report is expected to accuse the former vice president of engaging in a prohibited conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest by continuing to oversee the U.S. anti-corruption policies in Ukraine while his son served on the board of a natural gas company under investigation by the very Ukrainian prosecutors dependent on U.S. money, guidance and assistance in the fight against corruption that Joe Biden controlled.

The fact that Joe Biden admits he forced the firing in spring 2016 of Viktor Shokin — the Ukrainian prosecutor who was overseeing the Burisma probe — by threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid to Ukraine only heightens the conflict concerns.

    1. @Bebe:

Actually Solomon first started writing about Ukraine, Burisma, and the Bidens when he was at the end of his "The Hill" career when he was forced out there by the other editors. After a brief hiatus to start-up "Just the News" he's been writing about all the connections with Blue Star and Kerry's stepson (Devon Archer) for quite some time now. Quite fascinating stuff.

Interesting too connection with China investments regarding the Biden's and how the Obama admin. allowed them to circumvent some CFUS regulations.

tentative as it may be, this is the first prediction I've seen that makes a specific date prediction (Wednesday) as "Durham-Day."

Previously, IIRC, he has claimed that the original date for Durham's announcement was a few weeks ago, but was rolled back due to Brennan interview and other late breaking revelations.

I don't know how good his info is; he claims it is "not from leaks."

    Your mileage may vary ...

Steele's PSS was investigated by FBI for two years as a suspected Russian Intel asset.

Danchenko made an unsolicited "dangle" to fellow think tank employees with access to classified info "people they could talk to to make some extra money."

But FBI had no qualms trusting his network-sourced hearsay gossip in Steele dossier as evidence in CP FISA applications.
