This Looks Increasingly Desperate

The Dems and their proxies--or should that be vice versa?--desperately want you to believe that the Zhou Baiden regime is perfectly normal. It's just one more example of American Exceptionalism, whereby America returns to normal through the Ruling Class nullification of We The People through a hoax election. That would be truly exceptional, if it could be pulled off. It's unlikely, but they're trying. Thus, unless you follow the UK papers you'd never know that Doctor Jill and her patient were booed at some superspreader, er, football game or other.

Presumably this is why they're also going ahead with their faux impeachment, despite an almost palpable lack of interest from the country at large. If the country were really back to normal the Dems would be doing normal things, instead of holding a blatantly unconstitutional bill of attainder trial before a political body. A hoax trial that even a pushover like John Roberts won't dignify by his presence, in a capital city under military occupation. But I guess the new regime has no other choice but to try to demonize the ousted president if they're going to try to persuade the subject population that the coup was justified.

Naturally, in the circumstances, polls run by lefty outfits like ABC have to claim that something like 56% of Americans want Trump to be "convicted." I'm not buying that, for several reasons. One of those reasons is that hardly anyone is paying attention. Or not enough attention to interest them in watching this farce. According to Rasmussen:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 11% of Likely U.S. Voters think it is very likely the Senate will convict Trump of “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Another 20% say conviction is somewhat likely. Twenty-eight percent (28%) think it’s not very likely the Senate will convict Trump and 36% say conviction is not likely at all. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The House voted last month to impeach then-President Trump on charges that he incited his supporters to riot at the Capitol on January 6. The Constitution requires a two-thirds vote in the Senate for conviction.

Only 15% of voters say they’ll watch the entire Senate impeachment trial on TV, and 21% expect to watch most of it. Thirty percent (30%) say they’ll watch some of Trump’s trial, but 32% won’t watch any of it.

My bet is that most of those 30% who say they'll watch "some" will end up not watching any of it. It's like, Oh, yeah, I'll watch some of it. Right. Moreover, if 56% really do want Trump convicted, I'd bet that there'd be more than 31% saying it was likely. So, I'm calling BS on the lefty polling. OTOH, when the easy pluralities are of people who don't think Trump will be convicted and who likely won't be watching--pluralities that exceed 60%, I'm betting that there are a lot of angry people out there.

Still, the Dems have cast the dice and really have no other choice but to plunge ahead. Nevertheless, it all looks increasingly desperate.

  1. Tens of millions of people saw Dr. Jill and her patient get booed, including all those doing the booing. I think that means nothing to the Dems. They've won; they're just rubbing it in now. Nothing hinges on the outcome of the impeachment. Nothing hinges on the outcome of show trials for those involved in the 1/6/2021 mess. Nothing hinges on the outcome of the next election. They won.

  2. It’s good to know now that the conjunction “and” has the same meaning as the conjunction “or” in regards to the law.

  3. I am watching selected parts. None of the Lilliputians from the House. But Bruce Castor, one of President Trump’s attorneys, is eviscerating them. And their phony unpeachment.

    1. Brilliant move by Trump--hiring these two ACLU civil liberties lawyers. They'll have no qualms whatsoever about going for the jugular--in fact, Castor has pretty much promised it.

  4. Dershowitz slamming Castor’s argument. Jamie Raskin was Dershowitz’s student.
