Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO, died "unexpectedly" today, reportedly from a heart attack. It's no secret that Trumka was instrumental in preventing many affiliates of the AFL-CIO from openly opposing vaccine mandates: Biden's talk of vaccine mandates sends labor into disarray. It'll be interesting to see if his death makes a difference in labor's stance on a variety of issues--including vaccine mandates.
In related news, Randi Weingarten, head of the government teachers union, AFT, is now openly saying that opening of schools in the Fall is basically conditional on vaccine mandates, masking, and teaching Leftist doctrine on the January 6 Event. Quelle surprise!
Nothing like holding kids for ransom to give the warm fuzzies over "teachers".

In addition to nagging the district to make “ventilation upgrades,” the union members also insisted that officials create a regular COVID-19 testing plan regardless of anyone’s vaccination status, implement contact-tracing, and provide “maintenance of criteria and health metrics based on COVID prevalence to pause in-person instruction.”
Outside of COVID-19 mitigation efforts, the union also demanded that the district hire more full-time nurses, social workers, and counselors for every individual school and create a “comprehensive home visit program to engage students and families in every school community.” Last week, the union claimed that many of the schools in the district “were already in crisis before the COVID-19 pandemic due to years of neglect and structural racism.”
These “gaps” in the city and district’s response, the union continued, “must be closed before the fall return.”

However, interesting questions arise regarding how to tell which side of history a given example of human behavior actually is. For example, DC is making history even as we speak/read/write, but which side is it on?

The number of homicides in Washington, D.C., surpassed coronavirus deaths in the city by a nearly 3-to-1 ratio in July as the nation’s capital continues to grapple with an uptick in murders.

The statistic comes as Washington, D.C., recorded 100 homicides by July 10 – the earliest the city has hit that number since 2003.
The D.C. Police Union claimed the average date over the past 10 years when the city usually hits 100 homicides is Oct. 25.
In 2019 and 2018, the city hit 100 homicides in August, but the city reached the mark on July 12 in 2020, according to WTOP News.
As of July 30, there were 113 homicides in Washington, D.C., this year to date, compared to 108 last year, data from the Metropolitan Police Department shows.
Fox News has reached out to the MPD and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s office for comment.

Below is a transcript of an excerpt from a Warroom round table featuring Steve Bannon, Robert Malone, and Peter Navarro. Rather than talking about scientific data this discussion is more focused on what you could call the political aspect of the Covid Regime.
For my money, Bannon makes the really important point. Scientism is like a cult--its adherents aren't going to pivot to the facts. In that regard Malone--heartfelt and cogent as his observations are--comes across a bit like someone in 1917 Russia arguing that the Bolsheviks need to let the economists just do their job. Also, characterizing Scientism as a 'religion' misses the point and mischaracterizes a Neo-gnostic cult for something that it isn't--it isn't 'religion', not in any recognizably Christian sense. To mischaracterize it in this way, like calling Bolshevism a 'political party', is to seriously underestimate the danger.
I'll follow the transcript with some tweets that kinda riff off these themes--the disregard for data, the cultish nature of the Ruling Elite's approach:

Not a problem? That's the nub. It is a problem--for some vaccines. Including the gene therapy medications that have been repurposed as Covid vaccines.
Let's start with some excerpts that lead into the current situation:

There is a subtle yet important difference between preventing disease and preventing infection. A vaccine that “just” prevents disease might not stop you from transmitting the disease to others – even if you feel fine. But a vaccine that provides sterilising immunity stops the virus in its tracks.
In an ideal world, all vaccines would induce sterilising immunity. In reality, it is actually extremely difficult to produce vaccines that stop virus infection altogether. Most vaccines that are in routine use today do not achieve this.
It has now been confirmed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Covid 'vaccines' are non-sterilizing. They do not prevent infection, but hopefully prevent the disease--or a serious instance of the disease. We also now know that these 'vaccines', as was to be expected from non-sterilizing vaccines, do not prevent the vaxxed individuals from infecting others. The CDC wants us to believe that this is a new development with the Dread Delta, but many experts regard this as doubtful.
Early this morning commenter Frank posted a comment regarding a major update in the VAERS database which brought the total acknowledged vax deaths to over 12K. At the time I expressed some skepticism simply because other major sources--people with scientific backgrounds who have been tracking deaths closely--hadn't jumped on this. However ...
This afternoon Debra Heine and others are providing confirmation of these stunning numbers from CDC, with direct quotes (I specify that, because some of these database sites are difficult to navigate for some, like me).

Here's the most relevant part of the article:
Tucker Carlson did a totally kick ass monologue last night, and I really recommend listening to the whole thing. As is usual with media outlets, different pages offer different titles. I should state up front that the titles for this Tucker segment are somewhat misleading from a rigorously legal standpoint. Here are the two variations that I'm aware of:
* Tucker: Reading government data will get you censored
* Tucker Carlson: If you read government data, you'll be thrown in jail and censored by Big Tech
We knew this was coming, how long can it continue?
The problem with these is that, strictly speaking, from a legal standpoint only the government can censor you. The First Amendment deals with government action--or, as it turns out, actions supported by the government. Yep, I'm being a bit misleading two, because it's a complicated topic--and that's part of the point.
The point is that we all know what Tucker is talking about, and social media (aka Big Tech) has gotten such a stranglehold over online communication--meaning, really, communication generally--that America stands in need of a robust debate on the role of social media and its standards for policing content. Are social media platforms publishers? Are they public utilities? These really are complicated questions, and we should think twice before we invite government involvement. Maybe Trump's new social media initiative is the best solution. Honest people can disagree.
On the other hand, there isn't much doubt about the partisan and ideological bent of much of the social media policing and "fact" checking. There has long been the suspicion of these private companies colluding with politicians. Now, however, with the release of the Fauci emails, we have actually seen a social media company (Facebook) offering its services to a government entity for the purpose of policing messaging about Covid response and vaccines. Not, be it noted, for the purpose of "getting the message out" in a public service sense but for the purpose of preventing any dissenting message from getting out. That's pretty clearly a problematic position to be taking, both for government and for social media companies. Ted Cruz, among others, has suggested the companies may face legal liability.
This news came out this afternoon. The meeting is to evaluate the unexpectedly high number of reported instances of heart inflammation (myocarditis and pericarditis) being reported after Covid vaccination, and especially affecting young men. We've mentioned this previously, and there have been multiple reports from Israel on this score as well.

This is interesting. Please note that Senator Paul is incorrect. It is NOT true that there was no difference in the reinfection rates for those who were vaxxed and those who were non-vaxxed-but-previously-infected. We'll quote from the study below. The significance of this study--in part--is that it really does establish that naturally acquired immunity is preferable to vax acquired immunity. Moreover, if we're to believe top epidemiologists, there are many, many millions of people who fall into the "previously infected" category.

Now, first we look at the results of the study in a graph. Please note that, despite the dramatic looking lines, the actual real world incidence of Covid infection in the study group was extremely low. Feed into that the reality of extremely low mortality rates for working age people, if you're inclined to wonder what this means for overall risk assessment. Nothing changes from what we already know. Also feed into that what we know--but which the medical establishment is still trying to hide from us--about highly effective and inexpensive medications for treating Covid.

A total of 10,262 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine 'breakthrough infections' – defined as coronavirus infections in fully vaccinated people – were reported to the CDC from 46 U.S. states and territories between January 1 and April 30, 2021.
June 7, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Deaths and hospitalizations for COVID-19 infection have tripled among the fully vaccinated in the U.S. in the past month.
Deaths from COVID in those who have been fully vaccinated against the disease increased from 160 as of April 30 to 535 as of June 1, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

CDC no longer counting post-vaccine cases
“Despite the high level of vaccine efficacy, a small percentage of fully vaccinated persons (i.e. received all recommended doses of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine) will develop symptomatic or asymptomatic infections with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,” the CDC said in May.
The health oversight agency added that it would only be counting COVID-19 cases and infections after vaccination that resulted in patients being hospitalized or dying from May 1 onward – discounting almost 90% of cases of vaccine failure.
The policy leaves a gaping hole in data collection on vaccine effectiveness. What’s more, since only 27% of the reported cases were asymptomatic, it also leaves a bulk of vaccinated people who are symptomatic – more than 60% of reported cases are actually ill with COVID symptoms – who are perhaps unwittingly spreading the disease because they do not suspect themselves of having a COVID infection because they have received their shots. But the CDC is no longer counting them.
The CDC did not respond to questions about how discounting the majority COVID breakthrough infections might affect analysis of data efficacy.
Given that the CDC definition of “breakthrough infection” is in “fully vaccinated” individuals, the agency is also discounting cases of COVID infection among those who have only received one dose of vaccine in its statistics.

Of course the big question is, are these cases true "breakthrough" cases or are they cases involving antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE)?
