Why May Igor Danchenko--Steele's Primary Subsource--Be Important?

This brief tweet (below) by Stephen McIntyre hints at a web of connections involving Christopher Steele's supposed primary source for his fictional "dossier" and a variety of Deep State actors whose history would lead one to suspect that their views would be antithetical to those of Trump. Primary among those actors is Fiona Hill--a former National Security Council staffer under H. R. McMaster who also testified against President Trump's interests in the fake impeachment hearings. Further, Hill worked for George Soros' Open Society Foundation from 2000 - 2006:

not long ago, I saw a tweet that quoted an article in which Fiona Hill had been approached by Steele earlier in 2016 trying to contact a person who now appears to be PSS [Danchenko]. Can anyone give me link to tweet or article.

That Fiona Hill was acquainted with Christopher Steele and held him in high regard is well known, as is the fact that Hill was in touch with Steele during the 2016 election campaign. Hill is also very familiar with Igor Danchenko--they were colleagues at the Brookings Institute. It would therefore be natural enough for Steele to go through Hill to contact Danchenko.

The connections of these various Deep State actors to Steele and Danchenko as well as to Soros is tantalizing. The question is: What has John Durham been able to make of these connections? It seems likely that Danchenko's identity has been hidden this long because Durham has been tracking down all possible leads surrounding him and interviewing everyone with a connection. It's a sprawling investigation, but it could conceivably lead to direct connections between the original Russia Hoax and the later fake impeachment.

Interesting days await us.

How Deep Will Durham Go?

If Adam Housley is to be credited, the Durham investigation will go beyond the Russia Hoax and may get into issues that ultimately relate to the fake impeachment. Here's my reasoning.

Today Housley tweeted:

The corruption runs deep and through both parties and it ain’t gonna look good when it’s all said and done. 

It ain’t about Republican and Democrat anymore…it really isn’t. People were given the opportunity to do the right thing and some chose wrong. It’s about right versus wrong. 

Names to watch…McMaster. Rosenstein….McCain. This crosses party lines and you all need to be prepared. This isn’t about being pro Trump, or anti Trump. You ALL need to understand that….and you need to be willing to call it out irrespective of party. 

Major issues within the FBI. An agency that I love as you guys know. But major issues. Sides being taken and even amongst former agents, a lot of frustration. Especially outside of headquarters. 

Wray should have cut out the cancer and didn’t.

The key here, I think, is McMaster. With Rosenstein and McCain we're basically talking about the Russia Hoax, pure and simple. True, Rosenstein's involvement in the Mueller Witchhunt leads to impeachment, but not directly. I think we can distinguish Rosenstein from McMaster in that regard.

While it's true that with McMaster we could be dealing with leaks, nevertheless the fact that McMaster took Eric Ciaramella as his personal aide is highly suggestive. It's a far more direct link to fake impeachment than anything else we can come up with.

If Durham is seriously looking at McMaster--as I very much hope--then Barr's characterization of the Durham investigation as "sprawling" takes on a whole new meaning.

If You Read Nothing Else Today ...

Read Thomas Lifson at AmThinker--Alinsky’s revenge haunts the Democrats as they turn to billionaire Bloomberg. It's all good, but here's a sample from the big four paragraph finale:

Then if you have time, check this out. I have no idea who Roscoe B. Davis is and doubt that I'd agree with a lot of what he says, but there's some thought provoking stuff in the linked thread.

Davis doesn't say this exactly, but I do wonder whether Trump made some of his most disastrous appointments in a futile attempt to appease some of the Never Trumps. The failure to take control of the NSC has been crucial to so many of the problems that have slowed him down.

It's good coverage of how the Deep State and the Major Media Complex has shut down public debate on the must fundamental issues of our civic life--including in the US Senate and the Supreme Court.

I did like this line very much:

It remains unclear how Roberts knew Eric Ciaramella was the whistleblower when Paul did not outright say he was the whistleblower in the question card that was handed Roberts to read. "My question made no reference to any whistleblower,” Paul affirmed. Did the presiding justice consult with Schiff or other House managers prior to the 16-hour question period? If so, did Roberts violate his own impartiality oath?

An Impeachment Theater Conspiracy Theory

I spent part of the day reading and rereading material about Eric Ciaramella, the "whistleblower," and trying to make sense of the ongoing Impeachment Theater in the House. Somehow it doesn't all seem to add up. It could, of course--reality can be stranger than fiction. Nevertheless, perhaps it's time to try to come up with a more conspiratorial theory than has been previously floated that might tie it all up. After all, the entire Russia Hoax was more conspiratorial in reality than anything we've ever seen before in our history.

On the one hand, it seems possible that Impeachment Theater could be explained by sheer craziness: Trump Derangement Syndrome, rage at how 2016 derailed the permanent Dem ascendancy, the collapse of the Russia hoax--things like that. Certainly we've seen enough craziness in the House Dems to fit in with that explanation.

On the other hand, this whole whistleblower thing is pretty half assed, even as Dem theater goes. There's a nice blog at Zerohedge that goes into how anomalous it is: When Is A Whistleblower, Not A Whistleblower?

The author's central point is that Ciaramella doesn't act like a whistleblower--especially because he and his handlers have taken extraordinary steps to conceal his identity from public view:
