UPDATED: Behind The Cheddar Curtain

UPDATE: The Trump campaign has demanded a full recount in WI:

“Despite ridiculous public polling used as a voter suppression tactic, Wisconsin has been a razor thin race as we always knew that it would be,” Trump campaign manager Bill Stepein wrote in a statement. “There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results. The president is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so.”

I have nothing to add to this. I'm pasting it in from TGP. If this is remotely true then, yes, Trump has serious grounds for legal action. But this may be part of the Dem strategy--create chaos and try to make it last past January 20, 2021. Hopefully the new SCOTUS will not be in a mood to allow that.

UPDATE— It now appears Wisconsin has a serious situation!

According to Mike Coudrey there are more votes than voters in Wisconsin.
This is how Democrats nullified Trump’s record night!

We dug further and found from the official Wisconsin website there are 3,684,726active registered voters.

So — We are supposed to believe Wisconsin had an 88% turnout!!  Something NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN US HISTORY!

And they’re still counting votes.

And this did not include the additional votes to other candidates.

It should be clear the Democrats are stealing Trump’s record night in Wisconsin!

More:

Trump's : WI: "It is within 1%. That is recount territory." MI: Outlying GOP counties still to be counted. Confident in a pathway that includes MI. NV: Late-breaking mail gets Trump a win by a margin of 5,500. GA: "We have a healthy lead and that will maintain."
I've seen reports that GA has been called for Trump.

  1. Am i reading this right: in wayne county michigan 81% of the vote has been counted for a total of 1,216,817 (780,780 votes and 436,037 ab). Total voter registration in Wayne is 1,410,172. With 19% of the votes in wayne yet to be counted they are at 86% turnout. They'll be close to 100% when its all said and done.

  2. Thanks so much for this, Mark. I
Small blessings department: The only actual EC vote change so far today (+1) is Maine, CD2, which Trump swept by a larger margin than 2016. And despite the consistent polling showing her down, Susan Collins prevailed with a majority of votes, sparing her from having to submit to Maine’s insane ranked choice voting.
Collins’ surprise win will help keep the Senate Republican. She is no conservative, but she is the best Maine can do, and vastly superior to her lefty challenger.

  3. Kant said the only thing that's good without qualification is "a good will." Anything else -- tenacity, hard work, or courage, for example -- is either good or evil depending on how it is used.

One might say the same thing of laws. Unless the people in charge of making and enforcing them have a good will, then they can be used as a weapon against the innocent and they can be ignored for partisan advantage. We have seen too much of that, especially since 2016 but before it as well.

If our political and educated classes no longer have an adequate number of people with a good will -- intending to apply the laws honestly and fairly -- then the law is no longer serving its purpose, and everyone can see it. Next comes a man on a horse.

    1. Well, yes, that was expressed in the Federalist Papers, Washington in his farewell address, and Tocqueville.

  4. I expect Michigan to have the same issue as Wisconsin and possibly PA as well.

It would seem that if you were going to cheat you would want to keep it within the the margins of what is theoretically possible. I think that's where they end up getting caught, they can't keep a running average well enough on the moving target.

Arizona looks like a fail for Trump, I'm looking at the counties and the 100k needed is just not adding up in my view.
