UPDATE: Apologies--I got my timeline wrong. I assumed that Giuliani received the evidence a few months after the FBI, but it turns out it was quite a few months later. Please refer to the exchange in comments between EZ and me, below. Also, in general on these issues, please refer to the exchange between Mike Sylwester and me.
This is very different than the situation that the FBI and DoJ are in--night and day different. Rudy can talk about this being an easy case to make. And he's probably right. But the only case he cares about--really--is the case he's making to the public. And rightly so, in my opinion.
But all this means that our working assumption is that Rudy has been sharing what he has discovered with Donald J. Trump. I'd go so far as to say that I'd eat my hat if Trump has not been fully briefed on all this, on an ongoing basis, for many months. And I'm sure Rudy has cautioned Trump on who to talk to and under what circumstances.
Of course, people like Wray and Barr would probably assume as much, too--knowing what Rudy has been occupied with. Rudy specifically mentioned Barr's knowledge of what evidence Rudy possessed. Whether Wray knew about that is unclear, but since Rudy was referred to a local US Attorney, it's an excellent bet Wray knows all this, too.
However, my major point is that we should assume that Trump is in charge of the timing for what Rudy is doing. And that Trump has been planning this for a long, long time. So, the overwhelming likelihood is that Trump has known pretty much everything and has known it on a real time basis--that is, Trump has known it pretty much as soon as Rudy has known it. When, Rudy says the real smoking gun evidence will be released ten days before the election, we can therefore assume that that's actually Trump speaking to us. Building suspense.
QUICK ADDENDUM: I'm just now starting to listen to the Rudy interview with the Daily Caller's Christian Datoc. Datoc starts with what he says may be the biggest part of the story--the Twitter censorship.
I absolutely LUV Rudy's response. He says this is the kind of thing, the level of censorship, that used to happen in the Soviet Union, in Nazi Germany, in Cuba. I wish he'd have said--and maybe he will later on--AND IS STILL HAPPENING IN RED CHINA TODAY! You know, the place where the Bidens get their money.
But then he comes up with a great line:
No, they're not government, but they're acting like a government.
Can you say Deep State?
Trump is a master of controlling the media cycle.
ReplyDeleteThis is probably sweet payback for both Trump and Giuliani. Lawfare is being used against both, I can’t remember the details with Giuliani.
Yes. See my new post. Trump, via Rudy, is controlling this story.
DeleteWatch the 'youtube' video of Rudy of 38 minutes from last night. It is more complete than the Datoc interview.
ReplyDeleteAnd far more entertaining. Rudy is as much a “character” as Trump. They make quite a team.

IIRC that the repairman saw the Senate report released in early September, and THEN reached out and made contact with Rudy's attorney, and turned over the material, IOW, barely 6 weeks ago or less.
Woops! I should say then that Trump has probably known this as long as Rudy has. But this also raises questions about Rudy's statement that he told Barr about this and Barr referred him to a local USA and that nothing has been done with an "easy" case.
DeleteSee my response to Mike S. on the other thread. The HD in FBI possession is grand jury material. Barr may know the status of that investigation, but he can't legally disclose anything about it to Rudy. So Rudy doesn't actually know that "nothing" has been done. Many things could have happened beyond the FBI contacting the few witnesses Rudy may be aware of.
Bottom line: A lot rides on the election.
This may be why Durham punted till after the election. Originally, Biden was not a target, so the candidate being a target policy was moot. Then, things changed.
DeleteThings are actually shaping up well. If Trump wins, he will have the time and ability to truly showcase the full Axis of Evil - how Russia was a Maguffin, the FBI media circle jerk, the impeachment circus. He'll have the firepower to take down the SSCI (in a political sense, though likely not legal) and the associated RINO's. I wouldn't be surprised to see him openly take on McConell - especially if the Likes of LG see that their campaigns needed DJT's coattails and that their political careers depend on him.
As such, it boils down to us. This is our last stand.
A Republic, if you can keep it.
@Charles That thought of Biden becoming a target in the course of their investigation occurred to me. If Biden is potentially a target, and charges would start pointing that direction, can't really release those indictments on the heals of the election.
DeleteBUT...is it really fair to the American people to withhold this information from them while they make their decision on who to vote for. I guess if they do not have a fully developed case against Biden, then it would be unfair to implicate him.
This is one of the scenarios that I anticipated a year or two ago. The question always was whether Trump would go nuclear. He has. I hope that the collateral damage isn't substantial.
ReplyDeleteAn absolute shame the Biden family gets to inhale free air.
ReplyDeleteWell, if Joe had his way you'ld be charged for their "free air".
DeleteWe need to see Biden digesting convict air.
DeleteAnd according to GWP, she was a recipient of a Soros Fellowship, see

The NYP's arsenal just got a boost (h/t You know Who):
ReplyDelete"Anna Makanju is the Facebook executive in charge of 'election integrity on the platform'.... Previously, she was the special policy adviser for Europe and Eurasia" for Biden.
Some will call it a stunning conflict of interest.
