NYT 'Chief Threat To Democracy': Eric Weinstein Takes Flamethrower To Paper Of Record After Bari Weiss Quits
The 'paper of record' the 'Chief Threat to Democracy?' There are certainly a lot of candidates for that honor, but I suppose that--at a minimum--the NYT fits into the Top Ten or so.

All I want to do here is draw attention to three stories that Weinstein says Weiss would have liked to have covered but couldn't. Check this out:

Recall that Alex Acosta claims--and has never been contradicted--that he was told from way high up the Deep State feed chain that the whole Epstein case was national security involved:
Acosta later said he offered a lenient plea deal because he was told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence", was "above his pay grade," and to "leave it alone".
Today in the NYPost there was a story about how Ghislaine Maxwell is wearing suicide proof paper garments and is being continually moved from one cell to another because her keepers are afraid of assassins. It's almost as if someone way high up (hello, Bill Barr!) suspects Epstein didn't actually suicide.
My point is not to dredge up stuff that we've already discussed. The point is that if someone as Establishment connected as Bari Weiss is willing to entertain the idea that Epstein's underage sex op was "intelligence related", then, yeah, we should all be thinking about that, too.
And the real point of all this is that what's currently playing out in our national life runs very deep. Very deep.
You must know, that sundance is making big noise today, about Big Ugly "guiding documents" etc. hitting as soon as Friday, and that "The next few weeks are *critical*."

DeleteI'm almost afraid of saying this for fear of bringing out the Israel-haters, but the most significant visitor to Epstein, in my opinion, was Ehud Barak in disguise. Unless Ehud, someone long familiar with spying and disguises, was after underage girls, I suspect he had some other connection to Epstein. Barak, the former prime minister of Israel, is an Oslo peace processor type. Ditto Bill Clinton and the UN, a friendly environment for Ghislaine Maxwell. Something was going on. It would be nice to know more.

DeleteI lean toward assuming, that we're seeing a worldwide (coordinated?) set of cold civil wars, between pro-ChiCom/ Iran factions (Ehud, Dems, Brexit foes, etc.) vs. anti-ChiCom/ Iran factions (Bebe, DJT, Brexiters etc.).

Intelligence related= we need to protect some important butts from being exposed to prosecution.
ReplyDeleteI've said from the beginning that all the oohs and aahs about Epstein's client list is nothing more than supermarket checkout fodder. All eyes are directed downstream when the real story is upstream. Who his clients were is mere sensationalism; knowing who his master was is what carries a death sentence.
ReplyDeleteSex sells, sadly. If there is an Epstein angle to the overall corruption of the "deep state", the danger is that all those supermarket shoppers will start paying close attention to not just this, but everything. Just ask Bill Clinton how this works.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading that when the Miami Herald was digging into it. Wasn't quite sure what to make of it at the time, but there sure has been what appears to be steadily increasing amounts of smoke.
Strikes me as quite strange that Maxwell, a French citizen with many millions who could have gone to ground in France and out of reach of any US law enforcement, apparently tried to hide out in New England. Maybe she reasoned that it was the last place any US authority would look, but still it seems foolish, given her options, if indeed she was attempting to evade possible arrest.
But in light of Acosta's claims, and Epstein's death in custody, maybe it wasn't simple "arrest" she was worried about as much as some form of cardiac arrest.
Indeed, being incarcerated in the U.S. gives most world class criminals a ROTF case of the sniggers. Club Fed isn't just for U.S. politicians.
DeleteThe people she was evading don't do "hearings", pleading, evidentiary, sentencing, or otherwise, and there is no "appeals" process.
