Update On The Domestic War On "Terror"

Pretty obviously I'm not the only person who's been considering the meaning of the Dem and Deep State determination--or so they want us to believe--to launch a euphemistic Domestic War On "Terror". I say euphemistic because what they term "terror" is nothing but a bad joke and attempt to gaslight the American public. The continuing military occupation of the Imperial City on the Potomac, the open threats to unleash the Deep State FBI and DoJ against political dissent, the persecution of those who would dare reveal the corruption behind the entire Zhou regime, and much more--it's all intended to intimidate.

That is likely a sign of weakness. Yesterday we reviewed some of the polling that reveals the basic weakness of the Zhou regime, and the rapid decline in support or tolerance for it. Today there are two articles that expand a bit on the meaning of the DWOT, and are very worthwhile as a follow-on to yesterday's reflections.

First we have Greg Hunter's Election Panic Coming in 2022 – Martin Armstrong. To say that Martin Armstrong has had a checkered past is probably an understatement. You can, and should, read about it here. However, for my purposes I simply want to present some of what he's saying as a plausible narrative in the current situation, working from Hunter's summary.

Hunter begins by citing a Rasmussen Reports poll from 4/13/21--so very recent. The results present a shocking picture of a regime--the Zhou regime--that appears to lack basic legitimacy:

Most voters say it’s more important to prevent cheating in elections than to make it easier to vote and, by more than a two-to-one margin, they reject claims that voter ID laws are discriminatory.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 29% of Likely U.S. Voters say laws requiring photo identification at the polls discriminate against some voters. Sixty-two percent (62%) say voter ID laws don’t discriminate. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

A majority (51%) of voters believe it is likely that cheating affected the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, including 35% who say it’s Very Likely cheating affected the election.

Seventy-four percent (74%) of Republicans believe it is likely last year’s presidential election was affected by cheating, a view shared by 30% of Democrats and 51% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

In other words, the last three months have done nothing to induce the American public to accept a fraudulent election. So what has been the Dem response to this loss of legitimacy? HR-1, a clear attempt to institutionalize fraud through a federal takeover of what the Constitution lays out as a basic state function. There has been election fraud in the past, but I doubt that the public awareness--and outrage--has ever been so widespread. I presume that is the case because the issues facing the American people are at an existential level now.

Here is Hunter quoting Armstrong. Again, allow for hyperbole. Armstrong has no idea of what the true polling numbers are, but it's also true that many people are reluctant to speak openly about such hot button issues--especially with what we now know about our National Security state's capabilities and intentions. Armstrong:

Despite whatever they want to say, there is a large proportion of the population that do not believe the election. Polls are saying it’s at 51%, but it’s probably close to 60% or 70%. You are also seeing that 60% of Americans want a third party, and you are talking about Democrats and Republicans. ... I think because we have such a high number of people who do not trust the election results, I don’t think they are going to be able to get away with rigging the elections again. It’s going to turn into violence.

Obviously, this is speculation. The problem is, it's not implausible. It fits in with the narrative that Chris Wray is putting out about White Supremacy and "terrorism"--it's a clear attempt to keep a lid on the massive public disaffection that Rasmussen is tracking. But I see in this a deeper level of panic--nothing has worked. The coup failed in this important sense--the public wasn't fooled, despite the concerted gaslighting efforts of MSM, social media, and Big Tech. That level of panic is also apparent in the efforts to discredit or prevent the AZ audit. There will be more revelations, and Election 2022 looms.

One parting observation from Armstrong, which illustrates the thinking behind Dem panic:

On Trump, Armstrong says, “I don’t see him returning to office before 2024.” But, if massive ballot fraud is proven with the Arizona audit going on right now, Armstrong predicts, “The state legislature can recall a Senator” who won by election rigging.

Now, on to the second article, which focuses entirely on the basic existential level--the potential for violence:

The Inevitable End of a Ruling Elite

The ruling elite appear comfortable delivering the command “Submit” to traditional America, and are not concerned with the consequences that will follow.

The author, Max Morton, describes himself:

Max Morton is a retired U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant colonel, former CIA paramilitary operations officer, and a veteran of multiple armed conflicts, revolutions, and contingency operations.

Like the rest of us, Morton recognizes the current Dem and Deep State rhetoric for what it is: gaslighting, and a likely attempt to intimidate:

As America prepares to ... shift[] its focus onto the domestic political opposition, there has been much dishonest talk equating the ideology of conservative Americans with foreign terror groups, .... Such talk is opportunistic fear-mongering from the worst of Washington’s nomenklatura. Conservative and independent thought in America is not an extremist terrorist ideology, and to even hint at it is a bold lie and a sign of nefarious intent on the part of the ruling elites and their backers in the national security apparatus.

Morton sees lessons in our foreign GWOT ventures that should give the Elite pause to reconsider the wind that they're sowing. He argues that the whirlwind they will reap will be directed at them by people whom they have backed into a corner. He's talking about normal Americans:

... conflict has a way of leading to unsound decisions that end up making enemies where once none existed and, in the process, creates dilemmas that we cannot overcome. It is the crux of both counterinsurgency and counterterrorism operations that the strategy and tactics employed should not create more insurgency or terrorism than existed prior to their initiation. It is the basis for the concept of winning via hearts and minds, versus hammers and anvils.

What Morton is referring to, of course, is the rising level of threats being leveled by the regime against all dissent--the demand that all must submit. He argues, based on his experience, that when people are cornered with no hope of an acceptable outcome or even a fair trial, "they fight hard." This is situation that our rulers are presenting the American people with.

Morton explains Sun Tzu's concept of a "Golden Bridge," an escape path for the enemy, to prevent a debilitating fight to the finish, as well as the German concept of a "cauldron" in which an enemy faces extinction. He concludes:

If we examine what is happening in America now, it is possible to make out the initial shape of the ruling elite’s strategy vis-à-vis their political opposition—and it looks like a cauldron. Through legislative actions such as the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act, H.R. 1 federalized voting law, gun control, Supreme Court-packing, and D.C. and Puerto Rico state initiatives, one can see the kettle forming. If you don’t see a Golden Bridge, it is because there isn’t one.

We see this in the rhetoric of the Dems, in so many different areas of life. Normal American people in the broadest sense are the enemy, and no quarter is to be given.

If we listen to the words of the politicians and their bureaucrat handlers in Washington, we can hear the language of the imperative, “Submit,” with no post-capture options. And, if we look at the current zero-sum game of political warfare, cancel culture, and the weaponization of the Justice Department, federal law enforcement, and intelligence agencies, we can see deliberate preparations to answer traditional Americans’ “or what?” response.

The ruling elite appears comfortable delivering the command “Submit” to traditional America, and are not concerned with the consequences that will follow. But they are not fighters, and as such, they plan to use their weaponized federal agencies and useful-idiot brown shirts to do the dirty work. In their ignorance and arrogance, they believe employing violence-by-proxy is a safe strategy. They do not see the reaper that is staring directly at them.

Left to their own devices, the inevitable result of their mistake will be chaos and some version of armed conflict, and most likely the end of our republic as we knew it. For traditional Americans, it is worth considering now whether this is an acceptable future.

Will the useful idiot brown shirts prove reliable? I doubt it. Most of those "useful idiots" are drawn from the ranks of normal Americans, and will balk at turning upon their own. Word is that the "stand down" in the military has not gone well, and in the National Guard I'd expect it to go even worse. Will local police turn on their neighbors? When push comes to shove, I don't buy that. The same goes for the FBI--which, in any case, lacks the necessary muscle for such a job.

Morton doesn't buy it, either:

The elites have a plan. They believe they will be fine, because they’re counting on your submission. If anything remotely unanticipated happens, they can safely escape to their Martha’s Vineyard estates, their compounds in Montana, or their razor wire fortress in Washington, D.C. while things get sorted out by the loyal apparatchiks.

Much as Karl Rove did during the George W. Bush Administration, the elites suffer from the substantial hubris of believing they can create their own reality. They are undeservedly impressed with their status and legend, having brought a once strong nation to the brink of disaster through malevolent and corrupt leadership. As such, they remain oblivious to the lessons from 20 years of fruitless war and the folly of trying to impose one’s will on another.

In reality, they are not strong enough—or smart enough—to wield the command “Submit.” So, having picked up the sword, they will watch it be taken from their hands and then used against them by their very enemy—traditional Americans, who understand there will be no tomorrow, and in whose eyes there is a fierceness, a fury, that is beyond their world. It will be a fatal miscalculation that will bring about the downfall of a cursed and failed American ruling elite. And perhaps, if we can recapture the founding principles of our republic, the beginning of a new and better governance by and for the people; one truly dedicated to liberty and justice for all.

Morton has a lot more to say. Great read.

  1. Good blog Mark. I like the 2 topics. Morton's is interesting in the sense of the Elite's thinking (Submit). However, what I see lacking is the role of the MSM in Morton's opinion. If we're unable to temper the MSM, bring them to reality (as well as the Tech giants) I struggle to think people will hear or think differently. Thoughts?

Respectfully, I think you give way, way, WAY too much credit to LEOs in this country.

The exploitation of the human factor to ignore *the wrong things happening* seriously over rules standing up for ones peers... All they need is for people to *not get involved*.

The Nazis, Mao, Stalin and dozens of others were able to swing their troops and LEO into pistol whipping their populations into line, but those examples are too easy.

    A closer look to home...

Katrina 2005, we saw LEO and guard units in MS and LA both do the right and wrong things in disarming thousands of citizens with no warrant, door to door tactical sweeps, neighborhood after neighborhood. We saw citizens handing over their firearms and simply surrending. Then we saw the LEO and states destroy those firearms by simply loosing the ownership data and pleading ignorance.

Much of that was caught on video and broadcast all over.

In the end they got the guns and saw no punishment to speak of for the criminal aspects of trespassing, armed robbery, trafficking, destruction of stolen property, etc. We also saw no punishment (to speak of) for the civil rights abuses that transpired and the legal "compensation" was a joke.

So our already set standard in the US of "how" that happens is... Give a guy a gun and badge, tell him he can have unlimited overtime.

Those states (LA anyway) may run blue / purple and occasionally red but they are not a hot bed of progressively engrained liberal ideologies. Out side of the major cities they are pretty ultra conservative. Yet no one stepped up to stop what was going on.

I fear both what LEO will do and more so what my common neighbor will not do in reply.

Not many of them may need to be, if Swalwell's Nov. 2018 tweet "joking" about civil war is any hint:

"it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit.
I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.

Same thing happened in Alberta a few years ago, when the big flood came in. The RCMP went through all the abandoned houses and "confiscated" all the guns. It was talked about, but nothing was done about it.

  3. Frankly, I hate the term gaslighting. I remember when we used to call it what it really is, bulls*itting.

On a semi-related topic did you see the article over on Fox about the latest cheat and/or steal from Xioe’s Commerce department with regards to the census and congressional allocation? Looks like there was quite a number of changes between what they had projected in December and where the final numbers fell and would you know all the “errors” just so happened to be in favor of blue states.

    1. Gaslighting is very different than bs. Watch the 1940s movie where this term originates. Gaslighting is an intentional, psychological operation to push someone into thinking they are crazy. BS is just trying to fool someone.

  4. "...the inevitable result of their mistake will be chaos and some version of armed conflict, and most likely the end of our republic as we knew it."

The United States was born of Revolution. The founding principles of that revolution was the decentralization of power. Kings bad. Republics good. And the difference between 'Good Government' and organized crime is constitutional constraints.

Prior to the Civil War (which killed 2% of the population) people tended to address the country as "These United States." After the war, it was and is addressed as "The United States."

It has been the goal of so called "Progressives" since the French Revolution not to disseminate power, but to reconcentrate it into a new ruling aristocracy. This is what is calling for the country to "Sumbit."

On the far side of this revolution (coming if not already here) is the return of the phrase "These United States." and the Imperial Capital shorn of much of it's power.

And the reason for the end of the Republic, as any living person knows it, is essentially no one alive today has ever seen a Constitutionally compliant country. The rise of the Federal Empire has been ongoing for over a century. And good riddance to it.

  5. People are voting by moving and buying guns.

My guess is overall people don’t feel cornered yet, or don’t realize how bad the situation is, and still believe they still have options.

I wonder what happens when the Covid Fear goes away as an excuse for the lefts actions. Or will it never go away?

  6. Great stuff to ponder.

Let's always remember something about the Deep State et al...They aren't concerned much with reality, only The Narrative. When viewed this way, everything that comes out of their mouths serves the Narrative. Why is the Narrative so important? Because upon the Narrative they hang like scaffolding all the evil actions they will undertake to obtain their desired end.

So, for example, why the whole "white supremacy domestic terror" talk? It's the Narrative they will use as a scaffold to support gun confiscation, police state surveillance, detention camps (Gitmo for patriots anyone?)..you name it. This is how they will convince LEO and military to turn a blind eye to the coming horrors--- it's terrorism, right? We know what to do with terrorists, don't we?

I don't know how this ends. Most likely in some economic collapse based on their current policies.

  7. Speaking of ginning up Kessels, Dersh, in joining Rudy's defense team, says
“You do a search warrant only when you have reason to believe that the lawyer would destroy evidence,” and added that the Fourth Amendment provides particular protections when it comes to “lawyers and *doctors* and *priests*— anybody who has privileged information.”

    1. It's not clear to me that the fact that they didn't use a subpoena would somehow cause any evidence (if there is any) to be tainted for constitutional purposes. Dersh is saying they should have tried a subpoena FIRST, not that a search warrant could never be used. That sounds like DoJ procedure with regard to privileged persons, but it's not a constitutional issue per se--not if they had probable cause accepted by a judge. From that standpoint, the search warrant passed a higher standard than a subpoena, which wouldn't have to be approved by a judge.

      Delete
    2. Search warrants are normally very broad and signed by a judge, just sayin.

Thing is, is the warrant really valid? It may have the form and effect of validity, but we already know folks lie to federal judges to get warrants (FISA), continually, to the point a federal judge publicly condemns (FISA again), but nothing changes.

      Delete
    3. OK, I can see that whatever they got may not be tainted for constitutional purposes, but I gather that Dersh is partly pitching this for the ears of "anybody who has privileged information”, or who relies much on such folks.
I gather that such a move by the Feds is quite rare, esp. when at issue is such a dubious (overly broad?) law as FARA.

  8. Have to agree with Devilman above: I see two fundamental problems with the theory that the left will "regret" what they are doing:

1-LEO and local/regional agents will OVERWHELMINGLY do what they are told, and it won't take much to get them there, either. This sense that the cops are somehow just normal Joes is one of my greatest pet peaves with the right, being more Libertarian at heart. Furthermore, after a small handful of skirmishes, the sense of us vs them and a desire to "get even" will crystallize quickly. But there is also a lot of inference above to other apparatchiks: whether it is the DMV, EPA, FCC, USDA, or any other "civilian" fed or local government entity, they will not only fall in line to create pain and havoc in other ways - most will take pleasure in it. And they will do it slowly enough that we will, each in its turn, try to satisfy their bloodlust so we can get on with our lives. Which leads to #2....

2-I now believe Americans have a LOT farther to fall into the abyss before they realize how bad its gotten. Honestly I expected a lot of figurative and literal shooting to have broken out already, and our founders would long ago have revolted against what we are seeing now. This notion of quiet resistance is nonsense - it is consent, pure and simple. But we have been cowed into an incredible willingness to comply and self indulgence, having replaced our gods with things. As a whole, we are weak. We're standing by whining online about it week after week as great injustices are done in our backyard. This does not a righteous angry mob make.

      Emphatic agreement.

Add to this the utter spinelessness of GOP politicians. One contemptible example: have we heard any Republican members of Congress speak out on the outrageous treatment of the January 6th protesters by DOJ and the DC jail system? BLMTIFA rioters who destroy property and assault police and civilians are often not charged and don't spend months in jail, but Trump supporters who did none of that are domestic terrorists? This is political persecution plain and simple. Yet no one in Congress objects.

Wait, i did hear of one person. Elizabeth Warren. Let that sink in. Warren objects to the accused being held in 23 hr/day solitary confinement. Where are these fine, Republican patriots to join her? Crickets.

Electing Republicans seems a useless endeavor.

perfect description of what has happened and is happening

    - whoever can supply illusions to the masses, is their master
    - the masses are transformed into dependent subjects of pathological rulers
    - the social transformations caused by totalitarianism is built upon delusions
    - which cause the populous to regress to child-like status
    - the mass psychosis begins with the corrupt ruling class and their delusions
    - menticide - crime against the human mind, an organized system of psychological intervention and judicial perversion against the minds of those they wish to destroy
    - menticide begins with sowing fear - waves of terror, with pause in between each wave
    - each wave creates its effects more easily
    - then propaganda sows mis-information and confusion - breaking down the mind further
    - the Big Lie and monotonously repeated nonsense have emotional appeal
    - censorship by media makes this easier - esp addiction to phones and screens
    - further step is to isolate the victims - they become more susceptible to the delusions/propaganda
    - totalitarians know they can condition their political vicims most quickly if they are kept in isolation
    - alone, confused, battered by waves of terror, the masses crave order
    - totalitarians provide this order, at the cost of freedoms
    - there is peace and silence, the peace of utter submission
    - rule by scientists and doctors, pols and bureaucrats, or dictator - it's all the same
    - counter-attack must be multi-pronged
    - humor is a strong attack to de-legitimize the ruling elite
