I have absolutely no idea, of course, but ...
These tweets are interesting food for thought:
It's weird that Democrats want to call Pence's chief of staff Marc Short, right?
— Emerald Robinson ✝️ (@EmeraldRobinson) February 13, 2021
Wrong. It's only the 4th time that Pence's staff have "reluctantly" helped Dems try to impeach Trump. https://t.co/OYVUQ5fBhQ
People can't believe the GOP would impeach Trump to clear the way for Pence/Haley 2024. Really?
— Emerald Robinson ✝️ (@EmeraldRobinson) February 13, 2021
The GOP big donors want Pence/Haley. They don't really care what voters want.
They pushed Jeb in 2016. And Paul Ryan before that. And Dan Quayle before that. Remember?
A recipe for having Democrat administrations forever?
ReplyDeleteNope. A recipe for another long and entertaining primary season. Rubio and Cruz are both noisy enough now to be going for it, and DeSantis isn't being shy, either.
ReplyDeleteHere's a question: between Pence and Haley, which is the man?
Pelosi.
DeleteSmells like Pence Haley is the safe play.
ReplyDeleteReality is Haley just committed political suicide with that Polico article with Trump supporter.
Uhm no.
ReplyDeleteNow, if the Republicans had any guts, Trump and Candace Owens
Yeah.
ReplyDeleteDJT Jr.'s comments should be a wake-up call for the GOPe. If they thought DJT was going to ride off into the sunset after what the Swamp has done to him, they are fools. After McConnell's defacement, Trump has no safety rails in going after the establishment that tried to crucify him. Something tells me all those that cast legal votes for him in the November election will back him...

Trump/DeSantis 2024

Nailed it! ;<)

I'm not sure about Pence I can't see him playing vice again, I would bet against that. Haley isn't planing on playing for vice, I would put money towards her running for president, she's been gearing up for it for a while now.
ReplyDeleteEither way, I don't trust Haley, Pence, Rubio, Cruz or DeSantis as far as I can throw them.
I'm betting Trump backs on of his kids to run.
Pence/Haley? It is to laugh.

Devilman - why do you not trust DeSantis? From what I have seen from afar he is an able governor bent on constitutional rule. He has the cojones enough to clean up the voter corruption and incompetence in Miami Broward and other Democratic strongholds. Also he takes no guff and is a MAGA supporter.
ReplyDeleteI am interested why you don't trust him.
Spartacus
@ Spartacus, About DeSantis.
DeleteI don't trust him because he is another run of the mill Repub saying all of the run of the mill Repub things. Doing that bare minimum, edge straddling, but still very safe, tough'ish party line towing appeasement... With no teeth.
A great example, his flip flop on Biden saying travel restrictions need to be put into place on Florida. Calling it unconstitutional was a very safe reply. My issue is, he thought it was very constitutional when he wanted to ban North East States a from traveling to Florida last year.
Note: I think covid is a joke, but you don't get to talk out of both sides of your mouth about constitutional issues with me.
As my Governor, I am expecting him to throw down the gauntlet and squarely tell DC to pound salt... But he doesn't do that.
Additionally, he has no interest in... (at the state level)
Getting us off of federal funding.
Getting a state currency in place.
Closing our borders.
Removing illegals (we have no jobs)
Expanding our natural gas and oil resources. (we have tons)
Those are legitimate and VERY BIG priorities for bolstering our state's position of independence and sovereignty. We are in serious trouble economicly with tourism in the tank and that market isn't coming back, for years, if ever like it was.
If you can't do these things at the state level with a Red house and Senate you certainly can not do it on a national level or take on a corrupt DC.
For those and dozens of other reasons. I believe he would be another Rick Scott or Mark Rubio the second his feet hit the ground in DC.
Devilman - "I'm betting Trump backs on of his kids to run."
ReplyDeleteHuge mistake until one of them runs for another office. We had our fill of dynasties with the Kennedy's and Bush's.
I bet that he runs. A 78 year old Trump is like a 60 year old normal man.
But outside his kids, whoever he endorses will get the nomination.
Spartacus
I'm betting you see his daughter in Senate race in 22.
DeleteA friend and wife went to Florida last week to visit a daughter. Already scheduled to get the vaccine Monday. Governor DeSantis in 2024? Or Trump-DeSantis. I think so.
ReplyDeleteI need to learn more about DeSantis. Re Cruz, I'd like to see him remain in the Senate, but I can understand the frustration of younger senators at the grip that McConnell's old guard has maintained.
DeleteIMHO, Cruz is just as swampy as any of them; he NEVER showed a 'populist' bone, ever, during the campaign.
DeleteWhich is it, Ted? China or the USA?
Bannon (War Room) says without hesitation or doubt that Pence became a traitor to Trump on January 6th or just before and continues on that path, sending his assistant to tell tall tales about what McCarthy did/did not know/say/do.
ReplyDeleteIOW, Pence is not the Halo Man he would like you to believe. He's another Brutus.
Tell the Heritage Foundation what you think of him....cut off the money.
Sundance had alluded to Pence not being on the Up and Up a year or so ago but would never follow up on his initial tease.
DeleteI think he had honest suspicion but didn't have what he felt was a reliable enough source to spill it.
My concerns about Pence began pretty much with the Flynn firing. It seemed to me that a guy who was really with the team would have helped sort
Deletethat out, rather than dealing a serious, if not mortal, blow to the president in that way.
McConnell's actions will keep Pres. Trump in the drivers seat.
ReplyDeleteIMHO, throwing Pres. Trump under the bus by suggesting future civil/criminal actions against him will stimulate the Dems/TDS physcho's to keep chasing the end of the rainbow - disrupting their progressive agenda. While costly to Pres. Trump ( atty fees ). It would provide him a continuing platform to quantify the election fraud, and will keep future candidates locked into a support/opposition position. It will have a critical impact on future candidates actions. McConnell continues to wait, watch, and maneuver - did he back-stab or benefit Pres. Trump and the Republican agenda??
Good help us. Swamp city
